Her voice-tone, and the very way she presented herself before her apparent 'boss' was accompanied with flawless acting. Except that, while her composure seemed to be perfect, what remained behind her glare was fiery hatred. This was the blond-haired middle school student perceived to be 'dangerous' by the academy. "With this, I have most of the pawns assembled, with the last two piece, I'd be set to put my plans in motion once again," the boy standing before the girl spoke with a hint of glee exuding from his grinning expression. "Persona, I leave the rest to you. I don't care however you do it, just get them to be on this side," he ordered. "Of course," Persona answered. No hint of feelings could be felt from his extremely cold way of speaking. However, a corner of his lips rose; a smile filled with blood-lust could be seen. ↑ Prologue ↑ Ladies and Gentlemen - prospective role-players and viewers alike - I welcome you all to my next Role-Play (RP). An RP based on a great old anime/manga series, it's something I didn't think I'd do myself, but did it anyway. This one is made mostly because I wanted to, there is no particular reason, it was actually supposed to be Zero no Tsukaima RP this time, but my mood changed, and so did my plans. I do have exams soon, so I'm going to be slightly slower with the writing than usual. Gakuen Alice is a manga (also had an anime adaptation with 26 episodes, years ago) about a girl that chases after her childhood friend, who one day enrolled into the mysterious academy known as Alice Academy (we'll refer to it as 'Alice Academy' instead 'Gakuen Alice' in this RP from this point on). All the students in said academy are known as 'Alices', each possessing the unreal power called Alice. Alice is a special power that those are born with, they are treated as national treasure by the country; they'd do whatever they can to have children with such power enroll into Alice Academy, so as to keep them protected from terrorist organizations and kidnappers. In this RP, we're going to take a different approach to this. Most of the main characters from the manga will not be taking part in the story of this RP. There will be however; a few of them taking part regardless: Persona, for example. I'll be trying to make the story of this RP funny, yet dark just like the manga, not sure how much of that I can actually accomplish, though. Rules: If you're new to RP'ing, give the old RP guide a read, if you're too lazy to bother, at least check out the munch section. Please, no spamming. Don't post a question, comment, or anything pertaining to this RP or anything related to... well, anything. Send me a Private Message (PM) instead. Only post your character's profile before the RP starts, and make RP posts after the RP itself is start - there will be an opening post when it starts. Please use OOC to speak, comment or ask about something while not in-character (but you're allowed to use OOC only in your profile post, or RP posts). Keep all posts under the Third Person Writing format, the reason is that we'll be doing joint posts with multiple users quite often. Common sense is essential, imagine yourself in your PC's shoes with both the personality and the background in mind, and play out your PC properly, I'll be supervising joint posts sometimes, but I'm not going to be -always- around. Keep your posts neat and clean! Make sure your English is proper, and try to avoid making grammatical errors. Of course, this includes grammar, punctuation, etc. English not being your first language is an excuse not good enough, stop being lazy, only I can do that. While you're writing RP posts: please note that you're not allowed to control important NPCs without permission, control of unimportant NPCs should be kept minimal. Make sure you literally have time to post everyday, otherwise please don't consider joining, I personally want active players who come online everyday only. Even if around an hour per day is good enough, if you have enough time to make a post or make additions to a joint post, and I'll be content with it (life suddenly causing unexpected problems is a different issue, of course). That said, after some time, we'd be joint posting more than anything (probably), remember that you have to try to be consistent with everyone's writings when joint posting. Character creation: Spoiler: Character profile - fill out the necessary details of your character and write up the profile, then post it in the thread when completed. You also have the option to PM me the profile before posting if you want me to check if you've written it properly according to the instructions provided by the thread. Well, you'd have to PM me the profile either way, especially if you want your character to have a star rank and Alice form. As you're disallowed from assigning them to your Player Character (PC). ----------------- Basic information: Name: The PC's name, write down the full name. Since the RP takes place in Japan, you'd have to come up with a Japanese name, unless it's a foreign student transferring into Alice Academy. Speaking of Japanese names, Surnames comes first, then comes the Other names. Alias(es): The PC's nickname, or aliases, if any. Gender: State whether the PC's sex is male or female. Age: How many years old your PC is. Note that the age limit is strictly 13-15 on this RP, because some of the important NPCs, and the PCs would be students of the Middle School Division of Alice Academy. Appearance: How your PC appears to look; whether attractive, ugly, or passable... well, whatever you decide to cook up for your PC. Please provide a picture, you may opt to describe via words alone, but I'd prefer an image regardless. Personality: How your PC acts in general. Please do write about how your PC's mind works, and what type of a demeanor the PC shows in front of others, as well as the usual inner workings of the mind. Think carefully before you fill out this part, there were RP'ers who sometimes found it hard to play out the very personality of the PC they made. Background: Your PC's past; a summary of how he or she got by life before transferring into Alice Academy. It can be short or long, write it however you like, but don't make too much unnecessary story up about the PC's life after enrolling into the academy. If the PC has been on Alice Academy from when he or she was very young, then you may write about their past life in the academy's grounds, if such is the case, do include how said student is treated by the classmates, though. This goes without saying that you should try to be as creative with your PC as possible, I don't mind a normal-ish 'just another guy' type of character too, though. Make sure the background of your PC justifies the amount of points you put in the statistics' attributes. Affiliation: Any group or particular influential figure your character is affiliated with. Note that most NPCs would be affiliated to one group or the other, but most of the PCs will not be. ---------------------------- Statistics: Much like some of my previous RPs, we're following a game mechanic that defines a PC's talents and abilities via statistics (just like Toaru Kagaku no Railgun RP's mechanics). The statistics in this RP consists of a set of attributes which the PCs would have - most of the important NPCs (profiles on the post below) has such attributes as well. Speaking of attributes, there are five (6) attributes. When creating a PC, you'll have fifteen (15) points to spare for distributing to each of the base attributes. Assuming you wish to make sure your character is mostly decently balanced (well, I sure as hell do), you may evenly spread out two (2) points each to every attributes, and still have three (3) extra points to have an actual field of expertise, and thus finalize the PC's statistics. Note that you cannot have more than 5 points in any of the attributes. The attributes are as follows: Strength: Combat and physical capabilities. It may also pertain to how trained the PC's body is for fighting. Dexterity: This includes speed, finesse, etc. It also includes the PC's stamina. Perception: This regards the PC's sharp senses. Natural intuition that allows them to pick valuable hints, that points towards danger that is sometimes unnoticed till it actually occurs. It also regards how good the PC is at noticing coming attacks, especially in dire situations. Alice: How strong or useful the PC's Alice is. It may be to use the Alice to add additional statistical points (either permanent or temporary) to the other attributes. Intelligence: How smart your PC is, and how fast the PC's brain works. Charisma: From Socializing, persuasion, to having a talkative nature, to even having actual leadership skills - is what this attribute is all about. (Note: Alices can be used to forcibly increase points in certain attribute(s) up to an extent temporarily, depending on the effects of the Alice. There are some Alices that can passively increase attributes permanently, as long as the PC or NPC of the Alice is alive.) --------------------------- Alice: Alice is an innate supernatural ability that one can be born with. Once discovered by the government, they'd be forced - via one way or the other to transfer into the Academy. Depending on the Alice's effects, it is possible to determine a student's position in the Academy as well. Albeit extremely rare, there are few who are known to possess up to three Alices, you'd need special permission if you wish your PC to have more than one Alice. Of course, when an Alice's second or third Alice usually stays dormant until an event occurs and the second or third gets forcibly awakened unintentionally due to the pressure from the situation... or something like that. Most Alices born with two or three Alices had their second or third Alices awakened as they got older; they're mostly High school students, moreover, with Special Star ranking. Anyway, in this section of the profile, you're to add every bit of details regarding the Alice you come up with, or take from the wikia (you can use that page if you're really uncreative). Regardless of the Alice you make or pick, I'd have to speculate and judge if that's something your PC should be allowed to have. Basically, getting something over-powered won't be so easy for the PCs of this RP, they'll likely come with disadvantages even if it does happen. Name of the Alice: Write the name of the ability. Type of ability: There are five types of Alices: Latent type, Technical type, Somatic type, Special type, and Dangerous type (alternatively, you can find explanations regarding the types in the Terminology section below). Alice's Effect: This part should explain how the Alice itself works. I.E: How it works, how much and how often it can be used (this must be adjusted to the Alice Form that I assign to your PC), whether it has any conditions before it can be used properly (if any... an Alice usually doesn't have conditions though), in what manner it works, range or limits (if any), in what ways the ability can generally for used for, and lastly, it's very effect, and side-effects (if any). Also try to include: up to what extent the Alice is controlled by the owner should also be mentioned, as not all Alices can be fully controlled, especially when they're particularly powerful, if not properly controlled, there may be passive effects from the Alice (this includes passively additional points added to the statistics). There is no actual need to point out the pros and cons of said Alice. Star Ranking: One of the ways in which the power level of an Alice gets categorized is through the Star Ranking system of Alice Academy. It is determined not solely by the owner's Alice itself, but also involves the student's grades and good behavior. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Star Ranking to your PC, because I suspect most prospective players may choose Triple Star without any prior thinking.) Alice Class: Classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories: Latent, Technology, Somatic, Special, and Dangerous. Form of the Alice: All Alices have a form or shape, which dictates how often, and how much the Alice can be used at a time. An individual is born with one of the four following form, so it can't be controlled or changed: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent, and Limited. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Form to your PC.) Alice Restraint(s): Commonly seen in the form of accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. If the Alice is currently uncontrollable for the owner and has unavoidable passive effects, these are used to make them non-passive, and thus controllable. This is done to reduce harm done by the out-of-control Alice, or so the Alice doesn't run out (especially in the case of Alices with Childhood Form). (Note: If your PC's Alice has a passive effect, it may passively give additional statistical points to the attributes at all times. Put the additional points in a bracket beside the actual number of points you put in the attribute [I.E: 2(+3)]. I'll specify how much additional points the passive effects with provide via PM or Skype. Do note that if the extra points from the Alice's passive effect goes beyond five, it'll not count. Any higher extra is simply a waste. This applies only towards passive effects working without Alice restraints.) Mechanics: Spoiler: This section is dedicated to explaining how the RP works in the background with the mechanics that I've set (which is similar to the few past RPs I've hosted, derp). The gist of the whole deal is that in order to find out the result of an action that a PC performs, or attempts - attributes from the statistics of said PC (this applies for an NPC with a proper posted profile) will be used to determine whether it succeeds or fails - in the case that it does succeed, the exact number of the result is also used to figure out the particular result. This is done by me, the GM. I throw a dice (the dice from random.org) whenever I feel the need to, in order to confirm whether an action or attempt initiated by a PC is successful or not. The result of the dice plus the number taken from the certain attribute (attribute which relates to the attempt or action best) are added, and if it exceeds the requirement for success; it succeeds. If it over-exceeds the requirement, a beneficial occurrence may happen as a bonus. Of course, the requirement number is picked based on the situation, depending on how hard the certain attempt is to accomplish. Example: when a PC attempts to do something as simple as punching another PC (or NPC), a dice may be rolled by me to determine whether the PC manages to actually hit the other PC. The dice is rolled due to the possibility that the other PC may be able to respond in time to evade, or even counter; totally dependent on that PC's statistics. To further elaborate with the attributes themselves, here is a more proper explanation (with included examples) regarding how each points on an attribute may effect the PC: Zero (0) - The PC can't do anything in this area. For example: if a PC's Strength is 0, this must mean that the PC has a very weak and slim body, who can't fight, and is unable to carry or handle pressure from heavier objects. This would apply to someone sick with an illness. It could also mean that the PC simply lost their means of fighting, in other words, losing arms or legs in an accident, or a fight. In a case that a PC has zero Dexterity, it could that the PC is complete immobilized and hence may be due to being hospitalized, or can't walk due to permanent injuries. One with zero Alice attribute is most likely someone who lost his or her Alice from heavy usage. One (1) - This means that the PC is really bad for whatever the attribute stands for. A single point in Charisma may mean that the PC is very shy or rarely speaks to anyone, and is terrible at communicating with others, there could be other reasons for it, such as being a mute. A single point in Perception may mean that the PC has terrible senses, it could even mean that the PC is somewhat deaf, or can't see too well. A single point in the Alice attribute may be due to it having the Diffuse form, or it being simply very weak or borderline useless. Two (2) - This is the average level of capability. If you want to make a PC who manages to have an average life, you'd be putting at least 2 on every attributes of your PC. This is the gray spot where a PC is nothing special, yet he or she is not noticeably bad at doing something, whether it is communicating with others, or running, or getting average grades at school. However, this also means that the PC makes no effort to improve him/herself in the attribute in which he or she has 2. Three (3) - This implies that the PC's capabilities are above average. This could perhaps imply that a PC is slightly good at pulling clever tricks or can hack programs or a software or websites via the use of a computer; due to having 3 points on Intelligence. Four (4) - The character is exceptionally good at the activities that involves the use of the attribute. For example, with 4 points of Perception, a PC will have a good chance of dodging an attack at the right timing, or have premonitions of danger from hints alone. Five (5) - The character is a true expert, a genius, or perhaps even famous for how unbelievably good he or she is, at performing something, which is related to the attribute; the character is at the pinnacle at his or her expertise, and has almost no more rooms for improvement (well, at his or her current age, anyway). Alice attribute with five points may imply that the Alice is very powerful, yet hard to control. Some of the graduates of Alice Academy, combined with their Alices, are apparently at said pinnacle of greatness due to how needed and demanded their Alices are, this is one of the reasons why the students are protected as national treasures; which is done by forcibly making them transfer into the Academy when an Alice is discovered. Next, we'll have an in-depth look into the attributes themselves; Strength: Other than physical capabilities and combat abilities, it also determines your PC's current physical state. If you put one point on your PC's Strength attribute; you're implying (as supported by your character's background or personality), that your PC is crippled, or have even lost an arm, or has some kind of a disease that makes his or her body extremely weak, as one point specifically means that a PC has below average Strength. However, this can also imply that the PC's body hasn't developed properly so far, due to being very young. Four points may mean that your character is either very skilled, have learned something such as martial arts - or any other school of fighting techniques - or he or she has developed lots of muscles in the body through harsh amounts of exercises. Strength attribute can be increased regardless, via the use of Alices, or through specially made food imbued with powers of Alice from the Central Town, the amount of additional points that gets added varies. Dexterity: This shows how fast a PC is. From how much or how far the PC can run, or how fast, to having more stamina through each points of Dexterity, it can also be used to allow a PC's mind to concentrate faster to use his or her Alice faster, and speaking of that, this also implies that the PC may have fast-thinking as well. Alices such as Flying Alice can help to temporarily increase Dexterity as well. Perception: Particularly the attribute that helps to have strong senses, keen ones that gains premonition of danger, either via hints or the PC's eyes and ears. The use of Perception varies. Taking proper guesses through hints from words or certain happenings alone, or strong instincts that allows the PC to feel blood-lust, killer intent, violent aura, evil vibes, etc. or simple feeling of a coming attack, or someone about to make a move. It is necessary for either figuring things out, or taking action at the correct timing. Alices such as Cat-Dog Alice can be used to help temporarily increase Perception as well. Alice: An attribute that clearly shows how strong or useful the Alice is. The higher the points added into this attribute, the stronger it is. However, this may also make it harder for the owner of the Alice to control it. If the user is unable to control it properly, the Alice may: go out of control at random times, may give passive statistical effects at all times, may cause health of the user to deteriorate if the user's Alice form is Limited. Intelligence: This attribute determines whether your PC is illiterate, sane, a genius... or one of whom who is known to be insanely intelligent. Above three is required to have the career of a Teacher, and also to be a Scientist, Doctor, and the many fields of expertise that requires knowledge of any type of science. This includes even the skills and fast-paced mind required for being a software developer, to being a cunning hacker. In this RP, due to the age restrictions, PCs may not have more than two points on this attribute unless they're skilled at fields such as software development, hacking, historian, or just being a clever tactician as a middle school student. Additionally, one with higher Intelligence can use their Alices more faster and efficiently, this also means better control over their Alice. This of course doesn't include some of the members of the Technical Alice type, as they have passive intelligence supplied by Alices such as Invention Alice. Charisma: An important trait your PC would require to delve into the society. Points in this particular attribute may be used to get acquainted with others, making friends, showing leadership skills, impressing, deceiving, or even scooping information out of people via thorough persuasion. These can all be achieved through careful use of Charisma; depending on the PC's personality and the base value of the Charisma. Three or above will be required to make speeches that appropriately catches others' attention in several situations, the purpose may even be to move a person's heart, or for even acting - the motive may vary - it all ultimately leads to manipulating people with proper ways of dealing with them, and the effects can be magnified through the use of Alice; such as Sound Alice, or Pheromone Alices for example. Note: Do note that you shouldn't put points on attributes carelessly. You have to carefully explain why your PC's statistics is the way it is through the background or personality (loose implication is okay). Putting three points on Intelligence doesn't mean the PC is above average in terms of being smart, good with grades, with computer, planning, and anything. Each extra points (above 2) are meaning that your character is particularly good with something related to the attribute (I.E: three points on intelligence to mean that the student is very good at memorizing, or a good tactician). About the RP: Spoiler: - You start in this RP with your PC who is at the age of a middle schooler (13-15). The country is Japan, but area in which the events takes place is Alice Academy, where all the PCs and NPCs will be in. The time is set in the same era that we're living in. We'll go with 2009, April 10th (Spring), Monday (please guys, don't bother me so much with days like on previous RP; it's not that important). - You can't play a non-Alice. Unless the Alice of your PC has the Childhood Form. - Your character can't be a member of the Dangerous Ability Class without permission (I'll also have to confirm that the Alice of the PC can be used for harm). - Star Rankings are assigned by me, I'll be carefully looking through the PC's profile before making a decision. Most PCs will be Double Star students regardless, because a students of the Elementary School Division are required to be Double Stars before they can graduate to the Middle School Division. - I know I said I'll be assigning Star Ranks to the PCs, but I'm probably not giving out any Special Star. Mainly because most of the Special Star students are from the High School Division (except for a few exceptions like Natsume Hyuuga from the manga), and that they're known as the 'true geniuses' with formidable Alices. Hence, they'll only be there are NPCs. - Most of the Special Stars are on a league of their own (hence NPCs), either with more than one Alices, or a really strong Alice. Their statistics' limits are broken by me... because I couldn't make sense of their abilities and capabilities with 15 points (sorry about that, thought I could keep them balanced). - Forms of Alices are determined by dice rolls done for each and every PCs (this includes few of the NPCs). This is how it's done. Once a dice is rolled, if the result is: one, then it's Childhood Form. If two: then it's Diffuse. If three: Intermittent. If four: Limited. If five: I decide (hooray?). If six: you get the chance to decide (boo... ?). - The currency on Japan is usually Yen, but in the case of Alice Academy they're called 'Rabbits' ('RT' for short). Each Rabbits are worth 100 Yen. Alice Academy gives allowances to the students every month: 5 Rabbits for No stars, 30 Rabbits for Single Stars, 50 Rabbits for Double Stars, and 100 Rabbits for Triple Stars, and 300 Rabbits for Special Stars. - Every PCs will have to play as middle school students. However, you can have your PC either recently enter Alice Academy as a middle school student (so it'd only been an year or two since the PC transferred to the Academy and said PC may still be unfamiliar with some things in the Academy), or make it so that the PC has been transferred into the Academy many years ago, and naturally graduated from the Elementary School Division. - Age limit is 13-15. - This is more of a request: try to make the character creative to contribute to the uniqueness of the RP itself. There will be a few special NPCs made for the sake of the plot, but I want more interesting things in this RP. What I want are actual interactions between characters and perhaps some battles that won't drag on till the end of time. - I'll be posting results of the dice rolls whenever possible and also may give explanations as so what happens why, and for what reason - after rolling the dices. I may get lazy when I have to write too much for too many dice rolls, though. - Please don't try to make an overly-super-capable character with an overpowered Alice (unless discussed with me about it prior). - The RP will start (there will be an opening post) some time after we have the minimum amount of character profiles submitted in the thread. Minimum number of players required to have the RP started in seven (8), including me. - Please don't make an NPC on your own, unless it's your PC's relatives, if said relatives are siblings who appears on Alice Academy... well, we'll have to talk that out. - Yes, I'm making a Skype chat like every other time I do for an RP. If you don't have Skype, go get it. - It's probably obvious by now, but it may as well be a good idea to PM me the profile of your PC before you post it. I'd have to see if it's properly done and would have to assign Star Ranking and the Alice Form anyway. - Lastly, I'm not your ideal Game Master (GM) who's always right about everything. But my calls does hold weight (because I'm the GM, derp). I'll try to play this out as fairly as possible, I ask all of the prospective players to bear with me. Above all things, let's all have fun, but within the reigns of the rules. Terminology: Spoiler: Note: Ignore this section if you've watched the anime or manga series (because it's a wall of text). However, I'd ask people who haven't watched the anime or manga series to take some time to get familiar with some of the terms and systems that have been adopted into this RP via the series. Most information are given in order to avoid confusions (pretty much spoiler-free). The Gakuen Alice wiki still has much more information, so you may visit that site if you want to learn more. However, be warned that the wiki's pages definitely contains spoilers here and there. This section is for those who barely knows anything about the terminology of the series Gakuen Alice. So basically, this section contains some basic facts from the series. I might have missed a thing or two though, I'll add any such thing if do I realize it. ----------------- Alice: In Alice Academy, each student has a special ability, or power, called an "Alice". This is something special one can be born with, whether they like it or not. It is speculated that most of the Alices' parents are also Alices. Alices can be grouped in several ways, such as in types, which describes the affect of the Alice, and Form, which describes how often the power can be used. The power level is categorized via Star Ranking. There are five Alice types: Latent, Technical, Somatic, Special and Dangerous types. There are four Forms of Alices: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent and Limited. Alice Academy: A school in Tokyo, Japan for children born with Alices. When they (government or the academy) find one, they would try to bring the child to this school. Students of Gakuen Alice may not leave until graduation or they if no longer have their Alice. They may write letters, but letters leaving and coming to Gakuen Alice are being screened. The school also gives money to the parents of the students who attend the school. Gakuen Alice consists of four main parts: Elementary School branch, Middle School branch, High School branch and Central Town. Also, there are a lot of forests around the buildings, with names like 'Northern Woods' etc. The Northern Woods is a place feared by many children. Gakuen Alice's school courses are no different from any other school, there are regular courses such as Math and History. However, the big difference is that the students and teachers have Alices. The students can not use their Alice ability during class without permission. There are also Alice based classes for students to attend to learn how to use their Alices. Students are ranked in a Star Rank system by good behavior and grades. The school is separated from the outside world with a tall gate that surrounds the whole area. The gate is dangerous to cross over, because those who do are electrocuted. Once someone passes the gate, the teachers are notified and actions - to return the student to the school - are taken. Other than the gate, the school is also protected by a powerful barrier. Not much is known about the creation of the school and its history. What is known is that the three principals: Principal Kuonji, Himemiya, and Kazumi Yukihira, have been the Elementary, Middle, and High school principals for as long as anyone has remembered. The school is intended to be a place of protection for young Alice users and where they learn how to use there Alice powers. The high security precautions are due to Alices getting kidnapped for their abilities; having them be regarded as "national treasures", as such, the academy has continued to have strict policies of protection for the students from since a very long time, probably from when it was formed. Elementary School Branch: This is the part of the academy where children from the age of 3 to 12 study. Class A (for kids from 3 to 9) and Class B (characters from the anime or manga series were in this class) are in this branch. Middle School Branch: This is the school for students whose age range from 13 to 15. It is also known to be the gossip nest of the academy. This is the division in which our RP will be focused on, as most of the PCs and student NPCs (even teachers) are of this division. High School Branch: The school for the oldest students. No one else except the high schoolers are permitted to go there. No one exactly knows what happens there. There's a rumor that a warp-hole exists in there. There are also strange looking sculptures around the school, which were apparently made by Alchemy Alice, which attacks anyone uninvited. Central Town: A place (image) where Gakuen Alice students can go and spend their money, but must get permission to go first. Strange and unique items can be bought there from Alice merchants. It is stated that it was made by people with Carpentering Alices for other Alices. Students' I.D medals: The students carry I.D. medals that fit in a wallet along with their respective I.D. cards. The I.D. medal has the student's I.D number and a transmitting device in it that was created by someone with an alchemy alice. This can be further explain via an image: click here. Rabbits: The currency which the academy follows. They're only usable in the academy, especially the central town. Each Rabbits are worth around 100 Yen. Star Ranking: In Alice Academy, every student is ranked on a Star system that is based on the individual's Alice power, grades, and good behavior, among other things. Students can receive one of five ranks: No Star, Single, Double, Triple, and Special (here is an image to further describe it). Their rank is displayed by the appropriate number of stars pinned on their shirt or cuff (wherever the student decides to pin them), and may grant them extra privileges or discipline depending on the rank. No Star: Students with No Stars are generally the youngest students in the academy (7 years or younger). They have weak Alices and poor behavior, basically being sub-average students. Since they have a No Star rank, they do not wear any pin on their shirt/cuffs. Since No Stars are generally young, they are not treated worse because of their low rank. However, some older (age 10+) Alices who manages to become a No Star ranking, they may get discriminated in many ways, it may result in the student to be: unable to go to Central Town without a chaperone, subject to extra chores, small food rations, and a general dislike by the teachers. No Stars receive a 5 Rabbit/500 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 5 dollars). Single Star: Single Stars are usually in the Elementary Division, possessing weaker Alices, good behavior, and good grades. Basically, they are slightly below-average students. Although still a low rank, Single Stars are serious students and can possess much future potential. They are represented by one star pin on their shirt/cuff. A Single Star ranking is needed to enter the Elementary Division. Single Stars revive a 30 Rabbit/3,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 30 US dollars), as well as regular food portions and not many benefits. Double Star: These individuals are above average, but still not particularly brilliant or special. Most students possessing a Double Star rank are in the Junior Division, but some have been seen in the Elementary Division (such as Sumire). Double Stars have strong Alices, good or great grades, and good behavior. The are represented by two star pins on their shirt/cuff. A Double Star ranking is needed to graduate into the Middle Division. Double Stars receive a 50 Rabbit/5,000 (image) yen monthly allowance (about 50 US dollars), as well as larger food rations and some extra privileges. Triple Star: Triple Star students are above-average students that have very strong Alices and great grades. It is almost unheard of for anyone other than a Senior Division student to possess a Triple Star, and so they are well regarded around the school as powerful and studious individuals. Triple Stars are shown with three star pins on the shirt/cuff. A Triple Star is needed to graduate into the Senior Division. Triple Stars receive a 100 Rabbit/10,000 yen image) monthly allowance (about 100 US dollars) with very large food portions and other multiple benefits. Special Star: Also known as "Principals", Special Star students are the true geniuses of the Academy. There are only six Special Star-ranked students in the entire Academy known currently, posing as truly gifted individuals with formidable Alices and grades. A Special star student is represented by one pin on the shirt/cuff: a single star enclosed in a circle. Special Stars receive a 300 Rabbit/30,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 300 US dollars) as well as many benefits and extremely large food rations. Form: Each Alice has one of four possible forms, or shapes. The form cannot be controlled by the individual, and it specifies how much the Alice can be used, and how often: Childhood: The Alice will appear in the child normally at the beginning, but disappears as the individual ages into adulthood. Once the person's Alice has completely disappeared, the individual is dismissed from the academy. Diffuse: The Alice can be used at any time but in relatively low levels of power. Intermittent: The Alice can only be used for a short period, at any time, but at a high level of power. But every time the Alice is used, the Alice shortens until the time when the user loses his or her Alice completely and is let go by the academy. Limited: The power level of the Alice is great and powerful. The Alice may be used as often and as much as desired. However, every time the Alice is used, the user's body deteriorates. Eventually, because of the overusing of the Alice, the user dies an early death. Alice Class/Types: At Alice Academy, classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories: Latent Type: Latent Alices have to do with "ESP" abilities, and are commonly associated to superheros. Most of the students of the Academy have Latent-type Alices. It's class is the most popular one in the academy. Technical Type: Alices with technical abilities usually has Alices which creates something. Those in this class tend to work independently and sell their works to sponsors. These sponsors help support the club. Inventions by this class are very popular during the Alice Festival. Somatic Type: Somatic Alices include powers related to physical and pheromone manipulation. Basically, these Alices physically change or enhance their users, or the person the Alice is targeted at. Special Type: Students with Alices that do not quite fit in the other groups are put into the Special-type, and so the Alices in the class are usually rare and one of a kind in the Academy. It is the smallest class by far, and the rest of the students think low of individuals with Special Alices. Special-type Alices include, but is not limited to, Nullification, ability to 'live in the mirror world', or even Shadow Manipulation. Dangerous Type: Students with Alices of this type are put into the Dangerous Ability class and forced to do secret missions for the school. The Dangerous Ability class is moderated by the mysterious masked teacher, Persona. The students in this class are also unable to participate in some of the events of the school. One example of a student with a Dangerous Ability is Aoi (the Fire Alice user of this RP) whose Fire Alice has the Latent Type, but is so strong and potentially harmful that it is in the Dangerous Ability Type. Alices Stones: Also called brinjals, those with Alices are able to make Alice Stones, which are stones that have their Alice power in them. These stones are differently colored and the deeper the pigment of the stone, the more feelings and Alice power is applied to it. A legend in Gakuen Alice is that if a couple exchanges Alice stones, they are soul-mates. Also, by using the Stealing Alice one can steal an another's Alice ability and receive an Alice stone(s). Those with the Stealing Alice can further utilize these stones by inserting it others using the Insertion Alice, giving them a "Temporary Alice". Restraints: If one's Alice is considered too strong and a danger to themselves or others, they are usually expected to wear Alice restraints. They come in many forms, commonly seen as accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. Wearing these items will limit the Alice power of the wearer. There is apparently a Black Cat mask which is said to be the strongest restraint, and can only be removed by a teacher. Alice Festival: The Alice Festival is one of the three main events at Alice Academy. The Ability classes (except the Dangerous Ability class) each host a booth. At the end of the festival is an Alice Festival dance, which is a masquerade dance where a legend says the last pair to dance becomes soul-mates. Booths hosted by each Alice classes: Latent - Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan Ride. Technical - Auction of various inventions. Somatic - Snow White in the Woods Play, Alice in Wonderland ride. Special - Aladdin RPG. Sports Festival: It takes place in Spring time, and is a major event that all Alice Academy students look forward to. The school is split up into two teams, the Red team and the White team. The Red team consists of the Special Ability group and the Latent Ability group. The White team has the Somatic Ability group and the Technical Ability group. The Dangerous Ability types are aloud to choose which team to join and are split around 50/50. The Sports Festival includes events such as an obstacle course, relay race, a borrowing race, a cheer-leading contest and "horse race". During the festival all Alices are only allowed to use their Alice three times. They have a sticker on them that keeps track of the amount of times you have used your Alice. Once a student uses their Alice three times, the sticker automatically becomes an Alice surpresser. If the Alice if used anyway the sticker will burst, causing the user to faint. That team is then disqualified from the event. If someone removes someone else's sticker on purpose their team will also be disqualified. Violence is also not allowed, and if you hurt someone, with or without you Alice, your team will be disqualified and you will receive a punishment. Not included in the rules at the beginning, but another way to be disqualified from an event is to have the wrong person participate in an event without permission or notification Christmas Ball: The Christmas Ball preparations are done on December 23th the day before the Christmas Ball. The student body including teachers are divided into two teams, the "Decorating Team and the "Cake Team". It is a choice on what team one wants to be on, but if one team gets too many volunteers, a drawing is done. The preparations are all done in the building of the ball itself. The Cake Team's job is to make a giant cake for the Christmas Ball, and other various desserts such as a solid chocolate cake. The Decoration Team's job is to decorate the ballroom, as well as the giant Christmas tree. The ball officially starts on December 24th or Christmas Eve. Students are dressed in Christmas outfits to celebrate the occasion. The schedule of the day as followed is Free Time, the Gift Exchange, a Pie Competition, Caroling Teams, and the Masquerade Ball. Students are given Christmas outfits to wear to the ball. The girls outfits have two types for each division and boys only one type for each division. Although, the Elementary section boys have two types of Christmas outfits for some reason. Hana Hime Festival: The Hana Hime Festival or Flower Princess Festival is a special event hosted by the Middle School Principal, Himemiya. Due to Himemiya's preference, men are not allowed to go. The invitees are expected to go to the Hana Hime Den where the event will be held and dressed in kimonos. Treats and desserts will be served at the party. At the event invitees will receive a Hana Hime name. The nicknames have a flower meaning to it. Hana Hime Den: Hana Hime Den is the location the Hana Hime Festival and where Himemiya resides. It is incredibly large and spacious, so someone not familiar with the den could easily get lost. The den is safeguarded by Himemiya's Barrier Alice and, because she lives in the den, her Alice is at its strongest at lowering Alice power of Alices. Deep within the Hana Hime den is a dungeon which apparently has a rumor which says that a monster once locked inside it due to it being very dangerous. Map of Alice Academy: Spoiler: Alice Academy is the place where your PC is going to be living in. Despite this fact not being largely known to the general public; it's a very large campus, to the point that it's awe inducing to those who first enters it. An academy which is backed up internally by the Japanese government, one would think that the way the academy is, is rather befitting. The following image is the map of the academy provided in the manga: There are many unique places in the academy: A: National Alice Headquarters - The place where the teachers apparently reside in. Meetings between teachers, or even principals, as well as officials from the government in charge of the Academy - for making decisions for anything important also takes place in this place. B: Central Town - A town that is mostly comprised of shops, and places that provides entertainment services of many kind. It may not seem like it, but it's made with the use of Alchemy Alice alone. C: Elementary School - The school branch that teaches children from the age of 3-12. D: Elementary School Dorm - Where elementary school students stays in. E: Mr Bear's Guard Cottage - Home to a mysterious bear in the Northern Forest, of which it's builder is unknown... As one of the 'strange things that exist in the Northern Forest', the bear is known to be a guardian of the forest. It is rumored that the bear is dangerous, despite it's appearance. F: Middle School - The school branch that teacher students from the age of 13-15. All PCs are students on this particular school branch, as well as some of the NPCs (and some NPC teachers as well). G: Middle School Dorm - Where middle school students reside in. This is where the PCs and student NPCs will have a room in. H: High School Dorm - Where High school students will stay in. I: High School - The school branch which teachers students over the age of 15. Only high school students are allowed to go there, any uninvited guests are attacked to keep them away. Having finally been discharged from the hospital, today was the day that Mio had to once again attend classes. Mio walked towards her seat and sat down, waiting for the rest of her classmates to filter in before class started. Keeping her ears open for the early morning gossip, she took out her hero notebook and started designing hero costumes for future use while noting down any useful information she heard. [color=#A500b0]Being a hero is no easy feat after all! Have to always keep my eyes peeled and ears sharp to find people in need of help![/color]

When the class had pretty much filled, Mio noticed that there were a few extra people in the class. She looked closer at them and realised that they were the ones running around in the forest yesterday. [color=#a500b0]So they were new students in my class! I'll have to find out their names...[/color] Mio excitedly waited for the class to start, knowing that Miya-sensei would most likely call their names out later in the day.

Amelia sat in her place, which was the last bench at the right row of tables and benches from the teachers’ perspective. She sighed, relieved that she finally made it back here from the hospital. The walk felt particularly long because her body was still devoid of her usual stamina. A few boys and girls gathered around her to ask. She was missing yesterday, after all. Amelia was back to her usual state of mind, however, replying with terse phrases and sentences, to this her peers were convinced that she was just fine.

Sono, who sat beside her in his place - the other side of the bench - found his book coming his way; Amelia pushed it with her delicate fingers with enough force to have it slide to his direction, [color=gray]”Thanks for the book, it did it’s job in the end,”[/color] Amelia winked as she thanked, it was unlike her to do this, but she did anyway, then wondered about it herself, [color=gray]”You sure have strange tastes with literature, though,”[/color] Amelia wouldn’t let her own feelings of awkwardness show in her face, however. Thus put up her usual demeanor, and showed her smile that was purely for show.if

Sono was surprised to see that Amelia was able to be at a hundred percent so soon. He was sure that some of it was just trying to keep up appearances, but she was doing better than he would. The wink as she thanked him for the book however caught him off guard since it was slightly out of character for her. [color=#9D0A0A]“Don’t mention it,”[/color] he answered taking the book and sliding it into his bag. [color=#9D0A0A][/color]“I like the darker themes, go figure, right?”[/b][/color] he answered. Sone soon noticed he was getting glares from around the classroom, upon noticing that Sono was aware of how Shiraishi turned back to what she was doing.

[color=gray]”Somehow that fits you just right, so I figured… but I dunno why, I had to say that anyway,”[/color] Amelia said, noticing a strange growing atmosphere in the class, not everyone was in yet, but most of the students still looked, [color=gray]”Did something happened while I was out?”[/color] she thought out loud.

[color=#9D0A0A]“Not that I know of,”[/color] said Sono obviously lying. [color=#9D0A0A]“With this class it could have been any number of things. But it does seem that there are a few of us missing.”[/color]

[color=gray]”Mn...well, I wouldn’t know, most students are not in anyway, since we got here early today,”[/color] Amelia replied, looking around the class, trying to figure out what Sono meant. There was definitely something going on, but she felt left out. She’d find out sooner or later regardless, probably sooner due to her curiosity.

[color=olive]”So today, we have a surprise test!”[/color] Miya announced, much to her students’ collective sigh and sounds of protest, she was unfazed in her wheelchair, having her assistant teacher distribute the papers nonchalantly, she continued, [color=olive]”Everyone, keep your textbooks closed and put them away,”[/color] Miya said. It was the first class in the morning.

Today, all the missing students from yesterday was present; including Amelia and Ichigo. The two sat in their seats, Ichigo’s attention was halved due to her earlier conversation with Aoi. Aoi simply tried to ignore Ichigo while thinking of how to apologize later for her outburst of emotions. It was immature and rash on her part, and she fully admitted it mentally. She sighed, at the least she’d try to treat Ichigo to something but… she was yet to receive any money from the academy, [color=#0000A0]I wonder when the academy will give me some allowance,[/color] she wondered earnestly. The test paper was put before her now, [color=#0000A0]Well, whatever. This is my first test. I’ve been paying attention to most of the lectures, I’ll do whatever I can in this test for now!”[/color]

Amelia sighed, [color=gray]Jeez, I just come back and now this? I missed yesterday’s class, but this should be a cinch,[/color] Amelia thought with confidence, seeing the paper, she confirmed that it’d really be a cinch. She remembered most of the materials taught in class, after all.

[color=#9D0A0A]This is a joke, right?[/color] thought Sono. Most of the test that he was given were nonsense. He would finish the test, and then he would just sneak off. There were better things to make use of his time with. Looking over the test he saw that it was a simple history test. Clicking his pen he began to fill out the simple test form, and finished before most of the other students. Raising his hand he signaled for the assistant to come and pick up his paper. Some students who were having trouble sneered at him in response.

Ichigo on the other hand panicked, she was absent yesterday, so she felt that perhaps something important might have been taught yesterday. Tests was one thing Ichigo never really needed to work for - according to the academy, the authorities wouldn’t react regardless of her grades - but she still felt the need to do her best as one of the exemplary student of the academy.

Maya smiled, knowing Miya on a deep mental level, she knew exactly what Miya was thinking. Truly, sadists had the same line of thought. She didn’t feel particularly bad about this situation, but couldn’t be happy, either, as she is not a masochist. Maya simply decided to deal with it like she would usually, and would answer whatever questions she could possibly answer. There was no way to prepare for this test in advance, after all. History was the least favorite to her, however, so she’d only barely reach the passing score for this test. She really needed to work harder to get a Triple Star rank, but this may just be beyond her, for now.

Instead of panicking, Ine despaired. She never performed well even when the test wasn’t a surprise. She felt for sure that there was no salvation for herself, her cheeks puffed up to their maximum and the beginnings of tears were visible from the corners of her eyes. Ine knew that even with set exams coming up soon, that Miya-sensei would for sure put failures through hell. Opening her exam paper she knew instantly, how badly she would do on this test. The first question asked for specific dates, all of which Ine had forgotten. The paper would soon be damp with tears.

Sakura panicked after hearing about their surprise test. She had indeed been paying attention in class, but she wasn’t sure what the test would be about, Miya was teaching more than one subject after all, albeit she wasn’t the only teacher. She had only been here for three days - to top it off she went to the Eastern Forest for which she skipped a few more classes - so she wasn’t sure if any material prior to the ones taught in class would be included, [color=#a880c3]”I just hope the test includes materials from only the three days I’ve been here,[/color] Sakura sighed

[color=gray]Ugh… I’ve been too busy getting used to this place to study…[/color] Shouta cringed at the sudden examination. Although he is able to remember things easily, it took him time to absorb knowledge from school. [color=gray]Well, let’s just get this over with…[/color] He digged through his bag to find a pencil, but one wasn’t there. He started panicking, as the tests were already being given out. Just before his copy of the test paper reached his desk, he managed to find an albeit, dull, pencil in a deep corner within his backpack. [color=gray]Damn it, that was not worth all this stress…[/color] Shouta took several deep breaths to calm himself down so he could focus on the exam in front of him.

Although Mio would rather be searching for someone to save, she knew deep in her heart that no hero should ever run away from the trials presented before them! Holding on to that belief, she flipped over her test paper and was glad that it was on history. The imprisonment in hospital due to her broken leg had caused her to miss quite a few classes, however history was her best subject, well to be exact, Mio was obsessed over historical figures who saved their countries and thus knew quite a bit of trivia. Lowering her chin so that her fringe casted a shadow over her eyes, an evil smile appeared on her face as she grabbed her pencil and began to write furiously. [color=#A500B0]I'll solve equati- questions with my right hand and write na- tap the table with my left. I'll take a potato chip... and… not eat it! At least not while Miya-sensei is here...[/color]

[color=#00CCFF]Oh god, not again.[/color] Ing sighed, he closed his books and put it under his desk. [color=#00CCFF]This is going to be †˜hard’.[/color] He grinned. He reached in his pocket to get a pencil. He sat up straight and focused his attention to the test papers, a history test. [color=#00CCFF]. . .I’m screwed.[/color] he thought. He pulled his left hand index finger and wrote the answers of the questions. [color=#00CCFF]It wasn’t so hard after all, good thing I remember most of the things that Miya-sensei said.[/color] Ing looked up, [color=#00CCFF]Or did she? Oh well,[/color] He looked back at his papers and continued to do the history test.

Sono waited a little while after turning in his paper. The sounds of pencils and pens hitting the papers over the desks sounded around the classroom. Grabbing his stuff, Sono snuck out of the class, and made his way to the vending machines near the stairs. Buying a can of juice before making his way out of the building. Class was a waste of time. It wasn’t as if he would ever leave the academy.

Miya sighed, [color=olive]”Most of you didn’t do so well, it seems,”[/color] she claimed, going over the papers. The students felt like it was a crime to say that when Miya skimmed through the papers abnormally fast and labeled the scored marks in each of the papers.

[color=olive]”Well anyway,”[/color] she begun, handing the papers to her assistant, who seemed like a pretty lady. She was a new teacher who recently entered the academy, [color=olive]”First, I’d like to introduce you all to my assistant, who’ll also be my substitute teacher from time to time from now on.”[/color]

“I’m Momo, Minamiya Momo, pleased to meet you all,” Momo said, with a light bow. She had long brown hair that reached to the back, and her eyes were of the same color. She was slightly taller than Miya, and was seemingly quite young, and had attractive facial features, making her a beauty. The students seemed content, in fact, hopeful. Since they believed that she’d have a better personality than Miya, the attractiveness of this substitute teacher being a plus. Miya is also beautiful in another sense, but she’s way too scary.

[color=olive]”Now, I have some announcements to make today,”[/color] Miya said, smiling, [color=olive]”Hiiragi-kun, please come here.”[/color]

Sakura was surprise at suddenly being called to go in front of the class. She slowly got up then went to where Miya sensei was at [color=#a880c3]“Y-Yes Miya-sensei?”[/color] Sakura said as she stuttered a bit still recalling what Miya sensei had said to her yesterday.

[color=olive]”Well done!”[/color] Miya exclaimed, [color=olive]”You’ve gotten 67 marks despite coming here only a few days ago. I am impressed,”[/color] then she sunk her hand under her breast-pocket, making the males’ eyes focus exclusively in that area. Miya then took out two tiny golden stars, and handed them over to Sakura, [color=olive]”Congratulations, you’re now a Double Star ranked student in this academy now, Hiiragi-kun.”[/color]

Sakura for a moment stood there speechless, she couldn’t believe she was able to get the Double Star rank so soon. If anything she thought she might have gotten the One Star considering she has only been here 3 days. [color=#a880c3]“Thank you, Miya sensei!”[/color] Sakura said as she accepted the Double Star.

[color=olive]”You may now head back to your seat,”[/color] Miya said, happy to see Sakura content, then spoke again, [color=olive]”Kiriya-kun, please come here!”[/color]

[color=#0000A0]Oho, so it’s my turn?[/color] Aoi thought, somewhat excited, she’d find it hard to believe if she received a Single Star now, but the same could be thought for Triple Star as well, so she assumed it’d be the Double Star.

Walking across the benches and seats, she made way to Miya. Standing before her gaze, Aoi presented herself with a proud smile.

[color=olive]”Congratulations, Kiriya-kun. You’re also a Double Star ranked student henceforth,”[/color] Miya declared, handing Aoi two tiny golden stars, confirming Aoi’s assumption. Aoi was no doubt qualified even for a Triple Star rank even, it just didn’t happen because she was new and inexperienced here. Aoi gave a slight bow and thanked Miya, then walked back to her seat. Ichigo seemed to be happy for her when she stole a glance at her, but Aoi could still not face her properly.

[color=gray]“Y-Yes ma’am…”[/color] He was nervous. Miya-sensei intimidated him, even more so after how poorly the test went for him. He slowly stepped forward toward her, and mentally prepared himself for any disappointing words from her.

[color=olive]”Unfortunately, you got Single Star,”[/color] Miya said, handing Shouta a single small gold star, [color=olive]”You need to work hard to get Double Star, otherwise you’d get extra cleaning work and duties as penalty, as Double Star rank is a requirement to graduate into the Middle School branch usually.”[/color]

[color=gray]“A-Alright, Miya-sensei… I’ll… I’ll try harder from now on.”[/color] He returned to his seat, rather solemnly, and let out a long sigh when he arrived. [color=gray]I guess that means I’ll be living off of that crappy curry for a while, then, too...[/color] He sighed again as he looked at the single star he was given. [color=gray]Ah, man, today sucks…[/color]

Ine was happy that her two new friends had managed to get double star straight away. She felt a little sorry for Shouta who had only got one star, however. She was sure that he could get the second very soon though, after all, she had managed to get it and Shouta was probably much smarter than her.

[color=olive]”Now, I have an announcement to make. We’ll soon be having the Alice Festival!”[/color] Miya said, the students cheered loudly and happily instantly, they had been waiting for this, [color=olive]”For the transfer students who doesn’t know, this is something like a cultural festival in this academy, where many attractions featuring Alices are made for people from outside the academy to enjoy. The students of course will be preparing them, with the supervision of the teachers. Each of the Alice type classes will be preparing their own attractions, so I hope everyone works hard to make the festival better.”[/color]

Mio’s face lit up immediately upon hearing †˜Alice Festival’. It was one of her favourite times of the year since the preparations always required lots of †˜help’. [color=#a500b0]Finally… It’s finally my time to shine![/color]

[color=olive]”Oh and…”[/color] Miya said, remembering something, [color=olive]”Those who got 40 marks today will have their workload doubled for the preparation of the festival!”[/color] to this, many faces turned white from the usual pale. This was too harsh.

[color=gray]“Aw, come on, really…!?”[/color] Shouta whined out loud, temporarily drawing the attention of others around him, but he was actually rather excited for the festival. He wouldn’t mind needing to work extra hard for it if it meant an enjoyable time on the day of the festival. [color=gray]She said that people outside of the Academy can come, too, right? I gotta write home, get my family to come! That’ll be great! It’s been so long since I’ve seen them…[/color]

[color=#a880c3]Oh, a festival already, well this should be fun,[/color] Sakura thought. [color=#a880c3]Guess it’s good that I scored a 67 on the test, I’ll be able to enjoy myself better,[/color] Sakura smiled, as she took another glance at the two small stars she received; happy.

Ine was used to never really getting to enjoy the festival. She was always lumbered with extra work, although this time, there would be lots of helping out. Maybe she could really have a good time at this Alice festival.

[color=#00CCFF]Perfect, It’s time for me to take out my old inventions and make some money.[/color] Ing thought with a huge grin on his face. [color=#00CCFF]And maybe I can look at her playing the piano again.[/color] Ing thought as he looked at Maya.

Aoi felt even more tense now, with how things between her and Ichigo is, she felt the need to remedy the issue soon. Especially with such a grand occasion coming up soon. She wouldn’t be able to enjoy such an event without an apology her immature outburst at Ichigo. She had to come to terms with the differences that made a rift between the two. Looking at Ichigo - who seemed to be looking excited right now - Aoi’s tension crumbled, she was truly happy about this. On the contrary, this felt like a fresh wind slapped to her face right as she stepped into the unknown world, yet one full of wonders - Alice Academy. This was the first time she heard about the Alice Festival, and it already had a nice feel to it’s name, [color=#0000A0]This is definitely something special![/color] she internally screamed from the bottom of her heart; excited.

The bell chimed - as usual - making it apparent that the final class of the day was over. Ichigo abruptly caught Aoi’s arm with her own, then pulled on her; clingy; [color=#ff0088]”Aoi! Let’s do something fun today!”[/color] she said, trying to shove aside all the needless distance between the two.

Aoi gave a light smile, it was full of relief, [color=#0000A0]”Ichigo… “[/color]

[color=#ff0088]”I’m the one who's at fault, there’s no need to apologize, so stop looking like that!”[/color] Ichigo said, her radiating smile melting away Aoi’s heart. She too, smiled.

[color=#0000A0]”T-Then… well, how about we go somewhere?”[/color]

[color=#ff0088]”Any place you’re interested in?”[/color]

[color=#0000A0]”How about the central town? I’ve never been there, so I’m very curious. I also heard there are good food in there. Maybe we can have something. Oh, but I don’t have any money, so it might be a bad idea...”[/color]

Ichigo released Aoi’s arm, and leaned forward with the upper portion of her body, her hands then flipped up, showing double thumbs-ups with a serious look on her face, [color=#ff0088]”That’s a great idea, Aoi!”[/color] she exclaimed, imagining all the delicious strawberry parfaits and strawberry cakes.

[color=gray]”I’ll go too, I want to have some howalon. It’s been a while since we went together, Hoshimiya-san.”[/color]

[color=#ff0088]”Mhm, the more the merrier, we’d love to have you, Amelia-san! We should invite some others too… “[/color]

[color=#0000A0]”Mn… I just hope we can get back before my Alice class, I did promise to visit it today.”[/color]

This made Aoi very curious, but she reminded herself of what happened early this morning, thus didn’t ask any further, [color=#0000A0]”How about we invite Ine-san, too?”[/color] Aoi then looked towards Ine who seemed to be in her seat, [color=#0000A0]”Ine-saaaan!!”[/color] she called out, waving her arm at her.

Looking up, Ine saw Aoi waving at her. Seeing this her instant reaction was to smile and wave back. [color=#e3bd98]”What’s up, Aoi-san?”[/color] Ine spoke.

[color=#0000A0]”Care to join us on our trip to the Central Town with us?”[/color] Aoi asked, then pointing at Ichigo, [color=#0000A0]”We have our food sponsor here!”[/color] she winked, giving a mischievous look towards Ichigo.

Ichigo naturally gave a pout in response, her eyes narrowed, [color=#ff0088]”Boo! Just say that you’re poor instead!”[/color]

Aoi then gave a forced smile, [color=#0000A0]”I’ll admit, I don’t have any money yet. I’ll pay you back, though,”[/color] Aoi said, clapping both her hands together, making a request.

[color=#ff0088]”Well, I’d treat you guys either way. No need to pay back, I only have money for food anyway… “[/color]

[color=#e3bd98]”I can’t make Ichigo-san pay for me again”[/color] Said Ine with a serious expression, [color=#e3bd98]”At least let me pay for some, I just got paid”[/color] She said with a smile.

[color=#ff0088]”That’s great! Working for food really makes it feel worth it!”[/color]

Amelia sighed, [color=gray]”That’s one thing you truly love, huh?”[/color]

[color=#ff0088]”Of course! Because food is delicious!”[/color]

Ine nodded her head in agreement. [color=#e3bd98]“MmmMmm”[/color] Said Ine as if to emphasize her point.

Amelia then looked at Sono, who was just about to walk off silently, and called out to him, [color=gray]”We need a reliable bodyguard, hope you don’t mind coming along, right, Kage-san?”[/color] she gave a smile, but this had a particularly different feel from her usual ones. She also made an emphasis on †˜Kage’ as it means †˜shadow’. Otherwise he wouldn’t even be fit to protect anyone.

Hearing that Sono had been invited to join them, Ine thought about reconsidering. She hadn’t forgiven him for his attack in the forest, and generally he just creeped her out. If there was one person Ine couldn’t get along with in this class it was him. However, she didn’t want to let him ruin what would be a fun day out with her friends, so all she did was pouting slightly.

Sono turned slowly back to the group and looked them all over. Giving a silent laugh he slowly walked back. “Sure,” he answered simply. He was just in Central Town the night before, but that wouldn’t stop him from having fun there again.

[color=gray]”Then that’s settled then, hope that’s okay with you all?”[/color]

Ichigo smiled and shook her head, completely fine with it. She couldn’t see him as a threat, and Amelia knew why. Ine seemed to be pouting, but she didn’t wanted to break the current air around themselves just to ask what she was dissatisfied about, [color=gray]”Anyone want to invite any more people, or are we set?”[/color]

[color=#ff0088]”Mn… if I ask,”[/color] Ichigo pondered as she placed her index finger below her chin, [color=#ff0088]”I’ll end up asking everyone, then the group will be super big!”[/color] Ichigo said, concerned.

[color=#0000A0]”Then I guess it’s alright with just us, then?”[/color] Aoi said, feeling that she’s forgetting a couple of people, but couldn’t be bothered to think as time was running out already.

[color=#ff0088]”Then let’s go! I’ll take permission from Miya sensei, so you guys can wait before the bus!”[/color]

Knowing that the Alice Festival was nearing, Mio made a mental note to ensure she’d be there during Alice classes, however the time before that was hero time! Locking on to her target, the Single Star middle schooler, Shouta, she quickly packed her bags, save for her notebook and prepared herself for leaving as soon as Shouta made his move.

[color=gray]Ah, man… What an eventful day in class. I’m glad it’s over… Maybe things will go better in the Alice class…[/color] Shouta gathered his things into his backpack, double checked that he had everything, and proceeded out of the classroom. [color=gray]What should I do before then, though? Maybe I could write that letter to my parents in that time. The dorm is really close by, isn’t it?[/color]

The sight of Shouta vanishing as he turned out the door was Mio’s cue for action! Stuffing her notebook into her bag, Mio calmly got up, then instantly ran towards the door, stopping just before she entered the corridor to see which direction he went without herself being seen.

A chill went down Shouta’s spine as he walked down the hallway. He turned around to see if anyone was following him, but didn’t find anything suspicious. [color=gray]I must be imagining things… Why would anyone be tailing me…?[/color]

From her vantage point, she saw Shouta turn around as if he noticed her, however Mio was confident in her stalki- bodyguard skills. [color=#a500b0]How many years do you think I’ve been in this business?[/color] She secretly laughed in her head. [color=#a500b0]But gosh, this guy is sharp… Going to have to be careful or else I’ll fail to enter heroically.[/color]

Hearing the fast-paced footsteps of running, Sakura looked around to see who it came from, wondering why anyone would just start running inside the classroom. She caught sight of a girl standing by the door as if she were spying on someone. [color=#a880c3]Why is she just standing there?[/color] Sakura thought, although she wasn’t really sure who the girl was. Standing up quietly, she walked towards the girl and asked, [color=#a880c3]“Excuse me are you looking for something?”[/color]

Ensuring that Shouta wouldn’t disappear too soon, Mio looked back towards the unfamiliar voice to see who it was.[color=#a500b0] “Ah! Hiiragi-san,”[/color] Mio was surprised that the other new student would come talk to her, it had been a long time since someone had wanted to know what she was doing. Turning back to keep her eye on Shouta’s movements, Mio quietly whispered,[color=#a500b0] “I’m waiting for the perfect moment.”[/color]

[color=#a880c3]”Perfect moment?”[/color] Sakura was confused even more by the answer.[color=#a880c3]”What do you mean by that?[/color] She asked, as she started becoming curious as to what the girl was doing.

The strange feeling wouldn’t go away. Shouta felt eyes on his back, and it was making him uncomfortable. He peered over his shoulder once again, seeing nobody looking at him once again, but still having the lingering feeling that somebody was watching him. He couldn’t put up with it any longer, and started running. [color=gray]Just gotta get to my dorm… They can’t follow me in there![/color]

Mio was about to answer Sakura’s question when she noticed the sudden change in Shouta’s movements. [color=#a500b0]“Wha- He started running!”[/color] Seeing that he was far enough to not notice, she too dashed out of the classroom, forgetting about Sakura’s queries as she filtered her way through all the other children. Mio hoped that this time, unlike her previous attempt in the forest, her leg was healed enough to keep up with her prey.

Sakura was left behind confused as to what the girl was doing. [color=#a880c3]”She sure was a bit weird. Though I wonder if something happen she sure did leave in a hurry.”[/color] Without much thought Sakura started chasing behind the girl.

Footsteps behind Shouta confirmed his fear. He peeked back to confirm who was following him, still unable to find the culprit, but he could pick up the sounds of their voices while panting and running. That person was sprinting in such a way that would make it hard to switch direction. He picked up his pace, dashing down the hallway, then suddenly jumping down the stairs, and dodging students with every step; surprising people along the way. He swore he heard someone said †˜no running in the hallway’ but he could care less about it in this situation. The stalker remained on his tail, regardless, but Shouta managed to put some distance between himself and the culprit.

Despite her efforts to keep up, it seemed as if Shouta was getting further and further away. The run was making Mio a lot more tired than she’d usually be, most likely due to the period of inactivity, however she still carefully continued onwards hoping that maybe her target would stop running soon if he thought he lost track of her. At first she was going to stop before going down the stairs, as there was a chance that Shouta would try to catch her out by waiting in a blind corner. However she judged from the fact that there was still a parting of people further down that the coast was clear, and thus she quickly made her way down the staircase and followed the path left behind in Shouta’s wake, making sure to stay out of sight as best as she could.

Sakura continued chasing behind the girl; running behind her - trying to catch up to her. Along the way, she could see people with surprised looks on their faces as if they were wondering what was going. [color=#a880c3]Whoever she is after sure doesn’t want her to catch up to them. I wonder what happened?[/color] Sakura thought as she continue to follow the girl.

[color=gray]“Why are you chasing me!?”[/color] He looked back and called out to his stalker while still running. This distracted him long enough to inadvertently run directly into somebody, toppling himself over along with that person.

Mio slowed to a walk as soon as she heard the shout. [color=#a500b0]How does he know I’m still following him?![/color] Worried that he’d turn around to look for his chaser, Mio quickly tried to camouflage herself as just another passerby. Unfortunately, since Mio had stopped running, the parted crowd filled the pathway again and she was left without a trail to follow, but she continued on as there was only one direction to go in the corridors. If Mio was lucky enough, she’d be able to spot him once more.

Shouta heard a yelp as he fell back, someone was also pushed off too. As he opened his eyes and turned to the front, he found a blond haired girl rubbing her head due to a minor feeling of headache. She had pretty blue eyes and facial features - it was Shiraishi, a girl he hated - who misused them by making a very angry face; it seemed like she was about to explode from sheer rage as she made a very cranky expression, and narrowed her eyes towards him.

Running at a distance Sakura found the girl, realizing that she slowed down, she hastened up her pace to catch up to the strange girl, [color=#a880c3]”Finally caught up with you!”[/color]

Having turned around to see who it was, Mio suddenly remembered that she was in a conversation with her new classmate before Shouta sprinted off. She proceeded to apologize as she suddenly realized how rude her actions may have seemed. [color=#a500b0]“Hiiragi-san! Sorry for running off mid-conversation like that, my target suddenly started running, you see.”[/color]

[color=#a880c3]”Target? Oh so you were chasing after someone. But why are you chasing someone, and who is it?”[/color] Sakura asked, curious as to why the girl was chasing the person.

While listening to Sakura’s questions, Mio continued to glance through the people in the corridor, still hoping to find her prey. [color=#a500b0]“I wasn’t really chasing after him, I just wanted to help Shouta-kun in case he ran into any trouble. But it seems like he thought he was being chased and ran off. Who would’ve thought he’d be so paranoid?”[/color] She sighed and crossed her arms in disappointment.

[color=#a880c3]”I see. Thats rather kind of you. Though why would he run into trouble?”[/color] Sakura asked as she was still rather confused at what was going on.

[color=#a500b0]“My damsels-in-distress radar went off! Not only is he new to the school, he’s also a Single Star middle school student. If I followed him I might’ve found a chance to demonstrate my hero abilities.”[/color] Mio huffed confidently.

[color=#a880c3]”You have hero abilities? Wait does that mean you have a Latent Alice!?”[/color] Sakura eyes sparkle a bit but she then calmed herself down.[color=#a880c3]”Well not like it really matters to me what your alice is.”[/color]

[color=#a500b0]“Well….”[/color] Mio felt as if she had been stabbed by countless knives when Sakura mentioned †˜Latent Alice’. Although she had already come to terms that she could still be a hero with her Special Type Alice, Mio still desperately wanted a Latent Alice rather than her current one. Since Sakura said that it didn’t matter though, Mio decided to end the conversation there by distracting Sakura with something to do instead.[color=#a500b0] “Anyway, help me look out for Shouta! He might still be in this corridor.”[/color]

[color=#a880c3]Why did I have to go and say that![/color] Sakura told herself angrily, [color=#a880c3]She probably won’t tell me now what her Alice is.[/color] Though Sakura then heard the girl speak again. [color=#a880c3]”Sure, I’ll help you look for Shouta.”[/color]

On the other hand, Shiraishi would definitely point his location out if he allowed her to say anything, so Shouta swiftly covered her mouth with one hand as she mumbled under it repulsively, trying to reject him, but Shouta ignored her voice and grabbed her wrist with his his other hand, and dragged her along to the nearest empty classroom. Once there, he immediately slid the door shut, albeit silently to not give away his location, then he quickly made the decision to hide underneath the teacher’s desk. He regretted his decision immediately, as there was no space between him and Shiraishi, but he needed to stay put, lest he be found out by whoever was chasing him. They were so close to each other that he could feel her breathe.

Shiraishi could no longer take the unfair treatment she was receiving. She was rightly the victim who was bumped into, then was taken to an empty class, [color=blue]I-Is this guy a pervert?! B-Bringing me to an empty class like this![/color] she thought, then shook her head which caused Shouta’s hand to move away, [color=blue]”I-I’m not ready for this, we’re still t-too young!”[/color] she blurted out, showing the eyes of an innocent young maiden, but Shouta was too dense to notice.

However, Shouta’s hand immediately covered her mouth yet again to avoid her voice from leaking out of the classroom as she muffled angrily from under it, [color=gray]“Shut. UP! I don’t want to get caught! Just bear with it for a little bit longer…”[/color] Shouta adjusted himself so he was more hidden. His legs accidentally rubbed against Shiraishi’s as he did so.

Shiraishi’s face flustered; painted pink slightly from misunderstanding. She also felt angry because he sounded very rude; ironic, because it's usually her who's rude. She looked at Shouta as if she found a fiend before her, and seriously thought about kicking him here and now, but that may cause a commotion which may lead to many misunderstandings from her peers. Which she didn’t want. Of course, she tried to deny the possibility that it is indeed what she thinks it is, [color=blue]”Y-You can’t be thinking of… doing… this and t-that with me…”[/color] after the †˜doing’ part, her toned down to a level which couldn’t even be described as whispering - only lip-reading would let one know the rest of her words - her eyes frantically looked back and forth between the tiny space between herself and Shouta’s as she felt incredibly insecure and uncomfortable; the legs of the two were dangerously close, rubbing, even, but then her mind started to think unnecessary thoughts due to this yet again.

[color=blue]But wait… why with this ugly nobody?![/color] then Shiraishi came back to her senses, [color=blue]Agh! What am I thinking?! Aren’t I the pervert now?![/color] she argued with herself internally, then forcibly pulled Shouta’s hand away from her mouth and spoke out, [color=blue]”What the fuck do you think you’re doing, you maggot?! If you’re gonna hide, at least pick a place where we wouldn’t appear so suspicio- I mean, go hide yourself, don’t drag me along with you!!”[/color] Shiraishi snapped, although she sounded really angry. Shiraishi tried to be silent because she’d never want to be found alone with this boy in an empty classroom such as this.

Shouta was incredibly irritated, but had to keep himself quiet so he wouldn’t be found out. [color=gray]Of all the people I could be stuck with…[/color] He complained mentally. [color=gray]“Look, you can chew me out all you want later, just, please… be quiet for now…”[/color] He quietly asked of Shiraishi, before turning his head so he could listen for the footsteps of the person pursuing him.

[color=blue]Someone is chasing him?[/color] Shiraishi thought, peeking out of the darkness of the desk towards the direction at which Shouta was looking. Trying to calm her rampaging mind, she nodded to herself and whispered, [color=blue]”...Fine, you owe me now, though.”[/color]

[color=gray]“Thank you…”[/color] He wholeheartedly replied, before going back to intently listening. [color=gray]Damn it, there’s too many people, I can’t really tell if anyone’s coming closer.[/color] The sound of so many footsteps muddled together, becoming too difficult for Shouta to make out anything specific. He shook his head, wondering [color=gray]What’d I even run for… I probably looked like a fool. I even dragged Shiraishi into this. She probably hates me even more, now.[/color] Shouta glanced in her direction, and, realizing how close they were to each other, looked away again, embarrassed. He could feel his heart beating rapidly.

Feeling impatient, Shiraishi could feel her sweat roll down her delicate white skin, as she looked at Shouta’s foot, she couldn’t face him due to a sudden stream of the feeling of embarrassment after her anger was replaced with her maidenly thoughts and feelings. She couldn’t wait for Shouta to feel safe and release her from this strange situation. She’d punch and kick him and leave his sorry butt here, but then things might escalate to something bad, so she had to chain up her arms and legs till she could hear an explanation regarding the current situation.

Mio sighed as she walked past yet another classroom with Sakura. [color=#a500b0]“I guess it’s too late to find him if he’s not in here anymore.”[/color] They were nearing the end of the corridor now and the single star was still nowhere in sight. All this rushing around had made her tired and a small throbbing of pain reminded Mio that her leg wasn’t completely healed yet. [color=#a500b0]Oh well... I’ll have to wait for alice classes for a chance to be helpful.[/color] Her back thudded on a classroom door as she used it to support herself while she rested a bit.

The thud could be heard from inside the classroom Shouta and Shiraishi were in. Shouta flinched from the sound. Shit… they’re right there…! He tried to squeeze himself even further underneath the desk.

[color=#a880c3]”Well at least we tried finding him. He should be in class tomorrow so you should talk to him then instead. Well I should get going Alice Classes will start in a few more minutes. I’ll see you tomorrow at class uhh.. by the way what’s your name? Sorry through all the searching I forgot to ask.”[/color]

[color=#a500b0]Ah! Sorry, it was my bad for forgetting to tell you. I am the one and only, Amahane Mio! I think I’ll rest a bit before I head off to my Alice Class too, so yeah, see you tomorrow!”[/color]

[color=#a880c3]”It was nice talking with you Amahane-san have fun in your Latent Class!”[/color] Sakura said as she headed off to her class.

Shouta could barely make out a conversation between two female voices just outside of the classroom, but couldn’t understand much of it at all due to the overwhelming background noise. However, he heard †˜it was nice talking with you’, and assumed the coast was clear. He whispered to Shiraishi, [color=gray]“I think it’s okay, now…?”[/color] He still wasn’t certain, so he peeked out of his hiding spot. No one had entered the classroom yet, so he slowly and carefully emerged.

A few more knives stabbed into Mio’s heart as she attempted to plaster on a smile and waved goodbye. [color=#a500b0]Well... She’ll never know. It’s not like there are that many Special Type Alices around.[/color] Mio sighed again as she thought about how her precious break time was wasted. [color=#a500b0]Where did he disappear off to anyway? Outdoors? Toilets? Empty classroom?[/color] As the thought occurred, Mio turned around to peek inside the classroom. However seeing that it really was just an empty classroom, she decided it was time to make her way towards her own Alice Class.

[color=gray]Oh, fuck![/color] The door creeped open, startling Shouta and causing him to reel back underneath the desk. The door closed again, bringing Shouta relief, but he remained still for a few moments more before looking out again, murmuring, [color=gray]“Are they gone…?”[/color] Seeing nobody, he sighed, and leaned against the wall. [color=gray]“Oh, my goodness, that was close…”[/color] Shouta turned to Shiraishi, disheveled from being in such a cramped space, and felt his heart race again. [color=gray]“U-Uhm… S-sorry about all that… You alright…?”[/color] He couldn’t make eye contact as he spoke to her.

[color=blue]”AHH! JEEZ!”[/color] Shiraishi yelled out, blowing her steam openly, [color=blue]”What the fuck was that about?!”[/color] she asked- no, interrogated angrily. She gave a long sigh, so as to calm herself, [color=blue]”I’m totally using up half of your allowance, so you better watch out!”[/color] she declared after moving out of the desk, then pointing straight to his face. Her face was still as red as a tomato from all the blood that reached her cheeks; embarrassed, [color=blue]”M-Making a maiden’s heart rush like this, y-you have a lot of nerve!”[/color] she yelled.

Her sudden yelling nearly destroyed Shouta’s hearing. He needed a moment to recuperate from the ringing of his ears. [color=gray]Yeah, I had this coming… I know it…[/color] He expected Shiraishi to be angry with him, after forcing her to come with him, especially after all the bad blood between him and her. [color=gray]“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry!”[/color] He bowed deeply, hoping it would confirm his sincerity.

The incident did, however, allow Shouta to see an interesting side to Shiraishi’s personality. He witnessed a cute, feminine part of her. That thought was unsettling for Shouta, though. [color=gray]She’s been so mean to others, and is always combative with me. Why did I ever think that she was cute!?[/color]

Shiraishi then sighed, as if to calm herself down. She then turned the other way - towards the door - and asked, [color=blue]”Hey, why did you come to this shitty academy?”[/color] her words were tinted with her vulgar manner of speech, but her tone of volume was significantly lower - too normal when compared with her earlier outbursts; serious.

[color=gray]“I wasn’t given a choice. My Alice was found out at the last school I attended, and they took me away from my family and forced me to enroll here.”[/color] He took a deep breath before continuing. It was a depressing memory. [color=gray]“I tried to escape, but I was found out. At least, I can still communicate with them by writing letters.”[/color] He tried to end his answer on a positive note, the tone in Shiraishi’s was serious. It was strange. [color=gray]”Why’d you ask? I get the feeling you’re not thrilled to be here, either.”[/color] He could tell simply from the way she called the academy †˜shitty’.

[color=blue]”Heh, I guess we have one similarity, in that we both didn’t wanted to be here initially,”[/color] Shiraishi made a more twisted expression, [color=blue]”You’re far better than that Hiiragi then!”[/color] she spat out. Shiraishi then made a bland yet a very cold face, [color=blue]”Unlike you, I was sold to this academy by my parents. Until yesterday, I thought that they were waiting for me, and that they loved me as much as I loved them… I was just wondering if you came here for a reason like that, but it seems that you’re better off than me, “[/color] she sighed, but closed her eyes and smiled while she turned her back on Shouta, [color=blue]”Well, whatever,”[/color] Shiraishi walked towards the door.

[color=gray]“Hey, wait…”[/color] Shouta was at a loss for words. He hadn’t realized Shiraishi’s troubles, that she was a forced enrollment, like Shouta, but, unlike him, her parents simply abandoned her. [color=gray]“I-I… I’m sorry, I didn’t know…”[/color] were the only words he could give her.

[color=blue]”Why the hell are you apologizing?”[/color] Shiraishi asked aggressively, but tried to quill her boiling blood, she then sighed yet again, [color=blue]”Life is just that unfair,”[/color] she stated, as if speaking from experience. Then slid the door open - taking her leave with a grim face.

Shouta stood silently in the empty classroom after Shiraishi left. He needed to gather his thoughts, as he felt so conflicted. He still held a grudge on her for the incident with Sakura, but, for some strange reason, he had a feeling of familiarity with her, due to their similar circumstances. Shouta wasn’t sure how to resolve these emotions. He continued thinking as he departed from the classroom.

Shouta checked his watch to see how much time was used during all this commotion. [color=gray]Shit, class is almost starting soon.[/color] He briskly headed over to the Somatic classroom, arriving just a few moments before the teacher.

[color=#00CCFF]I should get some supplies from the central town.[/color] Ing thought as he put his books in his bag. He leaned back and stood up. He paused, [color=#00CCFF]. . .Wait, maybe I should go to town together with her, but then again. . .[/color] Ing didn’t move an inch. He stood there like a statue.

He shook his head and looked around.[color=#00CCFF] “Oh, she’s still here.[/color] Ing went to Maya’s desk. Without any warning he suddenly ask her, [color=#00CCFF]”Hey Chiyoda-san, want to go to the town with me?”[/color]

[color=black]”Sure? How would you like me to help you?”[/color] Maya nodded but was unsure of what Ing exactly needed from her. He still made an amazing thing for her, so she had to be more respectful and nice to him. Especially because he mysteriously refused to the take half of the money for her measly piano play. It still felt like she owed him for it.

[color=#00CCFF]”Great!”[/color] Ing said with a weird smile on his face, Ing rarely smiled so his smile looked a little bit crooked and weird. He quickly returned back to his usual not so caring face and said, [color=#00CCFF]”Shall we?”[/color]

[color=black]”Umm, okay then,”[/color] Maya said, showing a forced smile, still yet to receive her answer to her question. She stood up, pretending to not see him smile for the first time ever, and decided to just follow after him.

[color=#00CCFF]Phase 1 complete, on to phase 2,[/color] Ing thought as he stopped at the door that leads outside of class, [color=#00CCFF]”After you, “[/color] He said to Maya, telling her to go first like a gentleman.

Maya smiled, [color=black]”Very well, then,”[/color] she said as she exited the classroom, [color=black]”I know it’s slightly rude to ask you of this, but would you like to ask the teachers for permission to go the Central Town? I’m afraid I am quite shy when it comes to conversing with Miya sensei,”[/color] she requested with a lie as it’s reasoning. Maya simply hates talking to Miya. Perhaps all sadists can’t get along with themselves.

[color=#00CCFF]”As you wish, I’ll ask them right away.”[/color] He said as they walked to the teacher’s lounge.

[color=black]Really? I thought you’d be more lazier than me about this, then again, it’s you who offered,[/color] Maya spoke to Ing internally, he wouldn’t know, but Maya was quite surprised. From the fact that he invited her to Central Town, to him speaking in a very gentlemanly manner was strange, [color=black]Oh, perhaps he’s… [/color] her lips crept into a playful grin as she followed after Ing to the faculty office, [color=black]This could be fun,[/color] the maiden who didn’t know the feeling of love anticipated how to amuse herself. She indeed had to pay back Ing, perhaps she’d pay him back with some sadistic services. Even if he hated it, her playfulness-switch was flipped on and she could no longer stop herself. Little did she knew that the possibility of falling for him was always still there. Regardless, Maya is the type who pretends to give the boys a chance by uses them and tosses them aside in the end. It was primarily the reason why she is currently not very popular. She just couldn’t help but mess around with people, even though she knew that it’s wrong to do so.

Ing walked in to the teacher’s lounge, He quickly walked to Miya-sensei’s desk. [color=#00CCFF]”Excuse me, sensei”[/color] Ing called his teacher politely.

[color=olive]”Yes, what is it, Kouzuki-kun?”[/color] Miya asked, while looking over some papers. It seemed that her latest assistant piled a tower of paper which Miya had to go through for some reasons. Exam papers? It may possibly be it.

Ing asked directly what he wanted from the teacher, [color=#00CCFF]”Well, me and Chiyoda-san need to get some supplies from central town, is that ok with you?”[/color]

[color=olive]”Supplies but… Maya?”[/color] Miya couldn’t imagine Maya going there for supplies, but a smile soon crept up on her lovely face, [color=olive]”Sure, have fun with the date… just don’t let your passionate youthful feelings control your body, okay?”[/color] she made an erotic emphasis silently to Ing, but she should have been saying the same thing to Maya, too bad she hadn’t showed her face here.

[color=#00CCFF]”Thank you, sensei. And please, it’s not a date.”[/color] Ing said while looking away with a little blush on his face. He quickly returned to Maya who was waiting outside. [color=#00CCFF]”Miya-sensei gave us the ok. So let’s go to the central town!”[/color] He said with a seemingly excited tone.

The group - Ichigo, Aoi, Amelia, Sono, and Ine - walked over the streets of Central Town. The town looked strange yet attractive in it’s own way, the buildings had all sorts of strange designs, it really reminded Aoi of some kind of an other-worldly town of a wonderland. It really made her feel as though she came to a different country; a new unfolded before her face.

[color=gray]”Kiriya-san, this must be the first time you’ve set foot here?”[/color] Amelia showed her charismatic smile as she guessed the obvious.

[color=#0000A0]”Yes! This place is amazing! I should’ve come here sooner!”[/color] Aoi expressed her excitement, her eyes starry with the glint of excitement and wonder.

[color=gray]”You seem like a fan of trivia, so I shall have you know that every structures were made via crafting and alchemy Alices alone. The builders themselves were Alices. As such, everyone here are Alices too; workers shopkeepers and pedestrians included,”[/color] Amelia explained, her index finger raised she spoke.

[color=#0000A0]”Ooh! The more you know... thank you!”[/color] Aoi said, knowing how the town was made really helped her to appreciate the funny yet peculiar architecture even more now. The fact that everyone here are Alices really made her felt like she was in a land full of foreigners now. A feeling of mystical fun and excitement welled up in her heart.

Sono was content to just follow along silently. He was sure that some of the group felt uncomfortable around him, and that was enough for him. Amelia on the other hand was having fun, acting as the tour guide.

Meanwhile - oblivious to such nasty vibe of air around the group - Aoi’s eyes shifted rapidly from one shop to the other.

Ichigo noticing Aoi’s excitement, really felt like delivering some of the most delicious treats that awaited them in town, [color=#ff0088]”Akizuki-san, wanna go to the shop we went to last time?”[/color]

[color=#e3bd98]”Yeah!”[/color] Said Ine excitedly. Turning to the others she said [color=#e3bd98]”Their cake really is the best”[/color]. Pumping her fist into the air, her eyes glimmered as she imagined what cake she might have this time.

[color=gray]”Hmm, the best, huh? In regards to food, especially sweets; I’ve only had Howalon the last few times I’ve come here. Something different may be nice for a change of pace.”[/color]

[color=#0000A0]”Howalon, what’s that?”[/color] Aoi curiously asked, never having heard the name before.

[color=gray]”It’s the best sweet of this town. Soft and fluffy in form, sweet in taste, and it just makes you feel really happy when you eat it. It’s has a miraculous taste, I dare say,”[/color] Amelia praised it to no end, it must be amazing, Aoi was convinced, [color=#0000A0]”Ooh, I can’t wait to have that!”[/color]

[color=#ff0088]”Mn! I’ll buy a box before we leave this town!”[/color] Ichigo said, fisting her arm towards the sky.

Sono had this treat before when doing some shopping in town. With the amount of money he amassed there was little else to do. There were just things you could, and couldn’t buy on academy grounds. If he could he would have liked to start his own business. In the back of his mind he knew that the festival time was drawing closer. He would have to once again meet with his father. He always dreaded talking to his father. Him pretending like he cared while he flaunted around his money and influence. The time where Sono used to love working with his father was long past.

Ing and Maya just left the bus. Ing could still feel the mechanical noises of the bus’s engine ringing in his ears. It was a tune that calmed him, not directly to his core, as that was something only his inventions could do. Nonetheless, it was quite the pleasing sound. Walking at a brisk pace, Ing sped up as he felt excited to visit his favorite shop. Maya tried to keep up, albeit not being very energetic. It was tiresome.

Maya of course, couldn’t help but shift her eyes around with interests, as the two went past many stalls. It didn’t took long for her to lose herself, [color=black]”Oh! It’s the Sweet Potatoes!”[/color] she exclaimed, running off to a certain stall. Looking up at the shopkeeper, [color=black]”I’ll be taking some of these!”[/color] Maya happily said as the shopkeeper nodded, “Coming right up,” as he packed some for her. These are known to be the †˜sweet potatoes that won’t give you gas’, it really works what it’s name stands for. Made with the use of some type of a Cooking Alice. A certain amount of them can be bought for 350 yen.

[color=black]”Want me to buy you some for you too? They’re good!”[/color] Maya spoke to Ing, but then she remembered that she was supposed to be the one making him buy. Lost by her excitement for a bit, she felt slightly ashamed as her smile turned to one that was forced; barely an actual smile put on for show.

[color=#00CCFF]”Wait, did you just buy them with your money? You could have just ask if you want it.”[/color] He looked down, disappointed for himself for not buying her on their so called date. [color=#00CCFF]”Oh well, “[/color] He continued as he raised his chin back up, [color=#00CCFF]”Shall we?”[/color] he said as he walked beside her.

Maya ended up buying only for herself after she heard Ing’s words, it seemed like he wasn’t interested in this, too bad, she concluded. Making a curious expression, she asked, [color=black]”Wouldn’t I be owing you much more if you do that?”[/color] Maya’s lips stretched with glee, [color=black]”Then, I always wanted to try that Yam Chips, wanna buy it for us?”[/color]

[color=#00CCFF]”Well not really, I just rarely spend my money on things.”[/color] Ing said as he walked over to the Yam Chips stand and bought 3 for them.

[color=black]”Three? Is the last for someone else?”[/color] she asked, wondering if it was for some friend. Maya opened the packet of Yam chips and dipped her hand in. It’s a good thing that Ing’s invented gloves had an option to temporarily retract the metallic finger-covers so that the user can touch anything for her bare fingers; otherwise there would be chip-crumbs all over it.

[color=#00CCFF]”In case any of us wanted more, ahaha.”[/color] Ing laughed and continued, [color=#00CCFF]”Anyway, what do you do most of the time when you’re alone?”[/color] he randomly asked a random question that popped out of his head.

[color=#00CCFF]”Well that’s interesting, “[/color] he said as he ate some chips. [color=#00CCFF]Oh god I’m so bad at this.[/color] He thought to himself.

[color=black]“Oh no no! There’s nothing interesting about my ambitiousness, nor my bland piano performances,”[/color] Maya claimed, [color=black]It’s so hard to get under this guy’s skin. Forget about using him, I’d rather just be my usual self.[/color]

[color=#00CCFF]”What do you mean †˜bland piano performances’, you did great when you played it yesterday!”[/color] Ing exclaimed.

[color=black]“Oh no! My performances aren’t so good, that’s an exaggeration!”[/color]

[color=#00CCFF]”Alright alright, I was just stating the obvious, Maya-san.”[/color] Ing chuckled. He stopped in front of a certain store. [color=#00CCFF]”Ah, here we are. Come, let’s get in and get what I need and we’ll go back shortly after it. Since you looked quite tired.”[/color] He said as he opened the door.

[color=black]He… smiled and laughed?[/color] a thought popped up in her mind. Maya’s cheeks turned pink slightly as Ing appeared to be cute to her for a moment, but she shook her head to be rid of such strange thoughts, [color=black]“So this is where you’ll be getting your supplies from?”[/color] Maya looked at the shop. It seemed like a store that sold materials for the Technical types. No wonder, she thought. Entering with Ing, she could see many assortments of materials of steel, and arrays of strange parts. The air reeked of steel, it was an air she was somewhat used to, [color=black]I wonder if he brought me here for some kind of an indirect date after all?[/color]

[color=#00CCFF]”Yeah, it has everything for technical type alices. From nuts and bolts to pianos and harps.”[/color] He said confidently and continued, [color=#00CCFF]”I’ll be right back. Feel free to look at that section over there. It has everything music related.”[/color] He pointed as he walk to the counter.

As Ing went to attend to his own business, Maya said to herself in confusion, [color=black]“Well, I doubt they have the best of the best items for musicians like us… after all, there is a better piano shop in this town,”[/color] Maya went to look regardless, to kill some time.

Ing asked for various items from the store clerk, starting from metal pieces to threads and cables. The clerk knows that this is Ing’s usual order and he will always ask them to deliver it to his workshop back at the academy. Ing paid the money as soon as the clerk told him how much the total was. [color=#00CCFF]Now then, time to go back.[/color] Ing walked over to the section that he pointed to Maya and asked, [color=#00CCFF]”Ready to go back?”[/color]

[color=black]“Mn!”[/color] Maya nodded, [color=black]“Sure, let’s go back.”[/color]

[color=gray]“Hm, Hoshimiya-san, if I may ask, where is the aforementioned cake shop?”[/color] Amelia asked, stopping.

[color=#ff0088]“Mn… “[/color] Ichigo pondered, placing her index finger below her chin, then explained.

Amelia said looking at the watch over her left wrist, [color=gray]”Then we’re in severe time constraint here. We have to either go for Howalons or the cake shop.”[/color]

[color=#0000A0]”Hmm, thinking about what we mainly came for, I think everyone wants to go for the howalons, I know I do!”[/color]

[color=#ff0088]”Really? Too bad, I wanted to have the strawberry parfait again.”[/color]

[color=#e3bd98]”Awwww”[/color] Said Ine slightly crestfallen [color=#e3bd98]”Oh well, Howalon is really good too”[/color] She said perking up almost instantly.

[color=#ff0088]”I’ll come back here today for strawberry parfait anyway!”[/color] Ichigo declared, her eyes seemed to be ablaze with a fire of determination. Ichigo walked off after saying so, she could feel others giving a forced smile behind her, but didn’t pay heed. She’d get what she wants, it’s how she lived her life, after all. There may be some chains keeping her bound from her greatest aims and desires, but she’d one day break them apart to set herself free. She truly believed it that such a day will come.

Ichigo held a large box with both her hands - it was the largest box of Howalon. Other customers of the shop looked with awe as Ichigo ordered the it, and the gentlemanly shopkeeper - who usually wears a monocle and a black long hat - handed it without even asking once about what Ichigo wanted. This is because the shopkeeper was used to selling the largest box to her. Aoi had no Rabbits yet, so Ichigo immediately opened her box to share with her. The others would buy their own boxes, she believed. As everyone seemed to want to pay for themselves. Unlike the last time, boxes of all sizes were available, so even Ine wouldn’t run into financial issues with her purchase, she hoped.

Ichigo and Aoi sat on a bench while they watched their friends cue in front of the shop with other customers. Ichigo could see Sono leaning at a tree on the corner of her vision, but casually ignored his presence, and spoke to Aoi, [color=#ff0088]”Aoi, here!”[/color] she handed Aoi a Howalon. It’s appearance seemed like that of a miniature piece of cloud; appearing to be very fluffy and sweet.

Aoi took it into her right hand, amazed at the soft sensation over her palm, she put it in her mouth - expecting an amazingly delicious taste. Indeed the taste was delivered - as she munched - there was a feeling of indescribable happiness she felt from the sweetness and softness of the Howalon. It topped her expectations without a cinch. It was incredible, it beat any of the expensive sweets she had back at home easily, [color=#0000A0]”I-It’s… so good!!”[/color] Aoi’s eyes lit up; becoming starry.

[color=#ff0088]”Right? It’s amazing!”[/color] Ichigo then took a bite herself. Amelia and Ine came walking with their own boxes of Howalons. They both joined Ichigo and Aoi on the bench, opening their respective boxes with much expectations of a good time.

Sono decided to treat himself as well, but despite his financial status he only bought one cake. He was never one to gorge himself on sweets. Holding the pastry in a napkin he sat down with the others enjoying his sweet. Smirking slightly as he bit into hit he was reminded of the cakes his mother used to make. She was quite the chef as he recalled.

[color=#ff0088]”Mn!”[/color] Ichigo begun, nodding to herself, [color=#ff0088]”Eating like this under a clear blue sky with everyone makes the Howalon taste better!”[/color] she claimed. She then stood up, [color=#ff0088]”Aoi, look after this for me,”[/color] Ichigo placed her Howalon box on the bench, [color=#ff0088]”I’ll be going to explore and find some good ice cream shops!”[/color] she declared loudly and cheerfully.

[color=#0000A0]”Eh? Why now of all times?!”[/color]

Closing the fingers of her hand, she made an emphasis with her expression, [color=ff0088]”I have to find where I want to go now, so that I can head to them immediately when I come back here later!”[/color] her eyes aflame with much passion for food; Ichigo was determined. She then ran off, before Aoi could say anything more, [color=#0000A0]”Jeez, it’s like she has a bottomless stomach!”[/color] Aoi commented.

Ichigo ran, as fast as she could. There was no way others wouldn’t recognize her, for which she ran with a forced smile. She waved her hand to her apparent fans who smiled after witnessing her very figure. However, just as she noticed that she reached a point where it was devoid it people, she found an ice cream shop. It looked small, she wondered why it was there of all places. Or rather, why people weren’t here around this time of the day.

Ichigo shook her head and immediately cleared her head of minds, then dashed straight into the alleyway that was right beside it.

Before she knew it, Ichigo fell down on her knees. Supported with the shades darkness and shadows of the buildings, she felt safe to stop delaying what was eventual - proceeding into a state of a coughing fit. She desperately tried to cover her mouth with a handkerchief as she loudly coughed. Despite her efforts, she couldn’t stop, nor could she lessen the noise. It’d be bad if someone discovered her here.

After about a minute, the problematic coughing stopped, Ichigo hesitatingly looked at the center of her handkerchief, there was a tint of crimson blood...

Ine was rather bemused at Ichigo’s behavior, slipping away from the others a few seconds after Ichigo by feigning a need for the toilet, she followed her friend’s mad dash. As Ine ran to try and keep Ichigo in sight she noticed her duck into a narrow alleyway. Peeking behind the corner so as not to let Ichigo notice her she saw what happened.

The coughing was incredibly violent. It was all Ine could do to not flinch or yelp at the sound of it. [color=#e3bd98]”Ichigo-san”[/color] She muttered sadly to no one in particular. It was then she saw the flash of red in Ichigo’s handkerchief. It was so surprising she couldn’t help but cry out in sympathy.

[color=#ff0088]”Lalalala~!”[/color] Ichigo sang out abruptly, after half a second, [color=#ff0088]”Lalalala~~!”[/color] she repeated, imitating a certain song’s rhythm, she sighed, [color=#ff0088]”I know you’re there, Akizuki-san,”[/color] Ichigo then laid her back against the cold wall of the ice cream shop that laid on the other side, and pulled her knees up, only to dip her face in between.

[color=#e3bd98]”Ehehehe”[/color] laughed Ine weakly, stepping out from behind the corner, [color=#e3bd98]”You found me”[/color] Ine walked closer towards Ichigo and sat down beside her. [color=#e3bd98]”Does it hurt?”[/color] Ine asked kindly.

[color=#ff0088]”A little, but this isn’t much,”[/color] Ichigo muttered from under her thighs. She then gave a deep sigh, [color=#ff0088]”Please don’t tell anyone about what you saw here,”[/color] pulling her head up, it seemed as though she wanted to say something, but cringed instead, and covered her mouth; she had a coughing fit instead.

[color=#ff0088]”Eh… ?”[/color] Ichigo uttered after her condition stabilized, [color=#ff0088]”I wonder why, everything looks fuzzy, and blurry… “[/color] before she knew it, her vision soon turned black. Ichigo fell to the side opposite to Ine; passing out.
