"With this, it should be enough to pull her to this side," this reassuring line was said in such a professional manner that one would think this person is a secretary. Her voice-tone, and the very way she presented herself before her apparent 'boss' was accompanied with flawless acting. Except that, while her composure seemed to be perfect, what remained behind her glare was fiery hatred. This was the blond-haired middle school student perceived to be 'dangerous' by the academy. "With this, I have most of the pawns assembled, with the last two piece, I'd be set to put my plans in motion once again," the boy standing before the girl spoke with a hint of glee exuding from his grinning expression. "Persona, I leave the rest to you. I don't care however you do it, just get them to be on this side," he ordered. "Of course," Persona answered. No hint of feelings could be felt from his extremely cold way of speaking. However, a corner of his lips rose; a smile filled with blood-lust could be seen. ↑ Prologue ↑ Ladies and Gentlemen - prospective role-players and viewers alike - I welcome you all to my next Role-Play (RP). An RP based on a great old anime/manga series, it's something I didn't think I'd do myself, but did it anyway. This one is made mostly because I wanted to, there is no particular reason, it was actually supposed to be Zero no Tsukaima RP this time, but my mood changed, and so did my plans. I do have exams soon, so I'm going to be slightly slower with the writing than usual. Gakuen Alice is a manga (also had an anime adaptation with 26 episodes, years ago) about a girl that chases after her childhood friend, who one day enrolled into the mysterious academy known as Alice Academy (we'll refer to it as 'Alice Academy' instead 'Gakuen Alice' in this RP from this point on). All the students in said academy are known as 'Alices', each possessing the unreal power called Alice. Alice is a special power that those are born with, they are treated as national treasure by the country; they'd do whatever they can to have children with such power enroll into Alice Academy, so as to keep them protected from terrorist organizations and kidnappers. In this RP, we're going to take a different approach to this. Most of the main characters from the manga will not be taking part in the story of this RP. There will be however; a few of them taking part regardless: Persona, for example. I'll be trying to make the story of this RP funny, yet dark just like the manga, not sure how much of that I can actually accomplish, though. Rules: If you're new to RP'ing, give the old RP guide a read, if you're too lazy to bother, at least check out the munch section. Please, no spamming. Don't post a question, comment, or anything pertaining to this RP or anything related to... well, anything. Send me a Private Message (PM) instead. Only post your character's profile before the RP starts, and make RP posts after the RP itself is start - there will be an opening post when it starts. Please use OOC to speak, comment or ask about something while not in-character (but you're allowed to use OOC only in your profile post, or RP posts). Keep all posts under the Third Person Writing format, the reason is that we'll be doing joint posts with multiple users quite often. Common sense is essential, imagine yourself in your PC's shoes with both the personality and the background in mind, and play out your PC properly, I'll be supervising joint posts sometimes, but I'm not going to be -always- around. Keep your posts neat and clean! Make sure your English is proper, and try to avoid making grammatical errors. Of course, this includes grammar, punctuation, etc. English not being your first language is an excuse not good enough, stop being lazy, only I can do that. While you're writing RP posts: please note that you're not allowed to control important NPCs without permission, control of unimportant NPCs should be kept minimal. Make sure you literally have time to post everyday, otherwise please don't consider joining, I personally want active players who come online everyday only. Even if around an hour per day is good enough, if you have enough time to make a post or make additions to a joint post, and I'll be content with it (life suddenly causing unexpected problems is a different issue, of course). That said, after some time, we'd be joint posting more than anything (probably), remember that you have to try to be consistent with everyone's writings when joint posting. Character creation: Spoiler: Character profile - fill out the necessary details of your character and write up the profile, then post it in the thread when completed. You also have the option to PM me the profile before posting if you want me to check if you've written it properly according to the instructions provided by the thread. Well, you'd have to PM me the profile either way, especially if you want your character to have a star rank and Alice form. As you're disallowed from assigning them to your Player Character (PC). ----------------- Basic information: Name: The PC's name, write down the full name. Since the RP takes place in Japan, you'd have to come up with a Japanese name, unless it's a foreign student transferring into Alice Academy. Speaking of Japanese names, Surnames comes first, then comes the Other names. Alias(es): The PC's nickname, or aliases, if any. Gender: State whether the PC's sex is male or female. Age: How many years old your PC is. Note that the age limit is strictly 13-15 on this RP, because some of the important NPCs, and the PCs would be students of the Middle School Division of Alice Academy. Appearance: How your PC appears to look; whether attractive, ugly, or passable... well, whatever you decide to cook up for your PC. Please provide a picture, you may opt to describe via words alone, but I'd prefer an image regardless. Personality: How your PC acts in general. Please do write about how your PC's mind works, and what type of a demeanor the PC shows in front of others, as well as the usual inner workings of the mind. Think carefully before you fill out this part, there were RP'ers who sometimes found it hard to play out the very personality of the PC they made. Background: Your PC's past; a summary of how he or she got by life before transferring into Alice Academy. It can be short or long, write it however you like, but don't make too much unnecessary story up about the PC's life after enrolling into the academy. If the PC has been on Alice Academy from when he or she was very young, then you may write about their past life in the academy's grounds, if such is the case, do include how said student is treated by the classmates, though. This goes without saying that you should try to be as creative with your PC as possible, I don't mind a normal-ish 'just another guy' type of character too, though. Make sure the background of your PC justifies the amount of points you put in the statistics' attributes. Affiliation: Any group or particular influential figure your character is affiliated with. Note that most NPCs would be affiliated to one group or the other, but most of the PCs will not be. ---------------------------- Statistics: Much like some of my previous RPs, we're following a game mechanic that defines a PC's talents and abilities via statistics (just like Toaru Kagaku no Railgun RP's mechanics). The statistics in this RP consists of a set of attributes which the PCs would have - most of the important NPCs (profiles on the post below) has such attributes as well. Speaking of attributes, there are five (6) attributes. When creating a PC, you'll have fifteen (15) points to spare for distributing to each of the base attributes. Assuming you wish to make sure your character is mostly decently balanced (well, I sure as hell do), you may evenly spread out two (2) points each to every attributes, and still have three (3) extra points to have an actual field of expertise, and thus finalize the PC's statistics. Note that you cannot have more than 5 points in any of the attributes. The attributes are as follows: Strength: Combat and physical capabilities. It may also pertain to how trained the PC's body is for fighting. Dexterity: This includes speed, finesse, etc. It also includes the PC's stamina. Perception: This regards the PC's sharp senses. Natural intuition that allows them to pick valuable hints, that points towards danger that is sometimes unnoticed till it actually occurs. It also regards how good the PC is at noticing coming attacks, especially in dire situations. Alice: How strong or useful the PC's Alice is. It may be to use the Alice to add additional statistical points (either permanent or temporary) to the other attributes. Intelligence: How smart your PC is, and how fast the PC's brain works. Charisma: From Socializing, persuasion, to having a talkative nature, to even having actual leadership skills - is what this attribute is all about. (Note: Alices can be used to forcibly increase points in certain attribute(s) up to an extent temporarily, depending on the effects of the Alice. There are some Alices that can passively increase attributes permanently, as long as the PC or NPC of the Alice is alive.) --------------------------- Alice: Alice is an innate supernatural ability that one can be born with. Once discovered by the government, they'd be forced - via one way or the other to transfer into the Academy. Depending on the Alice's effects, it is possible to determine a student's position in the Academy as well. Albeit extremely rare, there are few who are known to possess up to three Alices, you'd need special permission if you wish your PC to have more than one Alice. Of course, when an Alice's second or third Alice usually stays dormant until an event occurs and the second or third gets forcibly awakened unintentionally due to the pressure from the situation... or something like that. Most Alices born with two or three Alices had their second or third Alices awakened as they got older; they're mostly High school students, moreover, with Special Star ranking. Anyway, in this section of the profile, you're to add every bit of details regarding the Alice you come up with, or take from the wikia (you can use that page if you're really uncreative). Regardless of the Alice you make or pick, I'd have to speculate and judge if that's something your PC should be allowed to have. Basically, getting something over-powered won't be so easy for the PCs of this RP, they'll likely come with disadvantages even if it does happen. Name of the Alice: Write the name of the ability. Type of ability: There are five types of Alices: Latent type, Technical type, Somatic type, Special type, and Dangerous type (alternatively, you can find explanations regarding the types in the Terminology section below). Alice's Effect: This part should explain how the Alice itself works. I.E: How it works, how much and how often it can be used (this must be adjusted to the Alice Form that I assign to your PC), whether it has any conditions before it can be used properly (if any... an Alice usually doesn't have conditions though), in what manner it works, range or limits (if any), in what ways the ability can generally for used for, and lastly, it's very effect, and side-effects (if any). Also try to include: up to what extent the Alice is controlled by the owner should also be mentioned, as not all Alices can be fully controlled, especially when they're particularly powerful, if not properly controlled, there may be passive effects from the Alice (this includes passively additional points added to the statistics). There is no actual need to point out the pros and cons of said Alice. Star Ranking: One of the ways in which the power level of an Alice gets categorized is through the Star Ranking system of Alice Academy. It is determined not solely by the owner's Alice itself, but also involves the student's grades and good behavior. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Star Ranking to your PC, because I suspect most prospective players may choose Triple Star without any prior thinking.) Alice Class: Classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories: Latent, Technology, Somatic, Special, and Dangerous. Form of the Alice: All Alices have a form or shape, which dictates how often, and how much the Alice can be used at a time. An individual is born with one of the four following form, so it can't be controlled or changed: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent, and Limited. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Form to your PC.) Alice Restraint(s): Commonly seen in the form of accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. If the Alice is currently uncontrollable for the owner and has unavoidable passive effects, these are used to make them non-passive, and thus controllable. This is done to reduce harm done by the out-of-control Alice, or so the Alice doesn't run out (especially in the case of Alices with Childhood Form). (Note: If your PC's Alice has a passive effect, it may passively give additional statistical points to the attributes at all times. Put the additional points in a bracket beside the actual number of points you put in the attribute [I.E: 2(+3)]. I'll specify how much additional points the passive effects with provide via PM or Skype. Do note that if the extra points from the Alice's passive effect goes beyond five, it'll not count. Any higher extra is simply a waste. This applies only towards passive effects working without Alice restraints.) Mechanics: Spoiler: This section is dedicated to explaining how the RP works in the background with the mechanics that I've set (which is similar to the few past RPs I've hosted, derp). The gist of the whole deal is that in order to find out the result of an action that a PC performs, or attempts - attributes from the statistics of said PC (this applies for an NPC with a proper posted profile) will be used to determine whether it succeeds or fails - in the case that it does succeed, the exact number of the result is also used to figure out the particular result. This is done by me, the GM. I throw a dice (the dice from random.org) whenever I feel the need to, in order to confirm whether an action or attempt initiated by a PC is successful or not. The result of the dice plus the number taken from the certain attribute (attribute which relates to the attempt or action best) are added, and if it exceeds the requirement for success; it succeeds. If it over-exceeds the requirement, a beneficial occurrence may happen as a bonus. Of course, the requirement number is picked based on the situation, depending on how hard the certain attempt is to accomplish. Example: when a PC attempts to do something as simple as punching another PC (or NPC), a dice may be rolled by me to determine whether the PC manages to actually hit the other PC. The dice is rolled due to the possibility that the other PC may be able to respond in time to evade, or even counter; totally dependent on that PC's statistics. To further elaborate with the attributes themselves, here is a more proper explanation (with included examples) regarding how each points on an attribute may effect the PC: Zero (0) - The PC can't do anything in this area. For example: if a PC's Strength is 0, this must mean that the PC has a very weak and slim body, who can't fight, and is unable to carry or handle pressure from heavier objects. This would apply to someone sick with an illness. It could also mean that the PC simply lost their means of fighting, in other words, losing arms or legs in an accident, or a fight. In a case that a PC has zero Dexterity, it could that the PC is complete immobilized and hence may be due to being hospitalized, or can't walk due to permanent injuries. One with zero Alice attribute is most likely someone who lost his or her Alice from heavy usage. One (1) - This means that the PC is really bad for whatever the attribute stands for. A single point in Charisma may mean that the PC is very shy or rarely speaks to anyone, and is terrible at communicating with others, there could be other reasons for it, such as being a mute. A single point in Perception may mean that the PC has terrible senses, it could even mean that the PC is somewhat deaf, or can't see too well. A single point in the Alice attribute may be due to it having the Diffuse form, or it being simply very weak or borderline useless. Two (2) - This is the average level of capability. If you want to make a PC who manages to have an average life, you'd be putting at least 2 on every attributes of your PC. This is the gray spot where a PC is nothing special, yet he or she is not noticeably bad at doing something, whether it is communicating with others, or running, or getting average grades at school. However, this also means that the PC makes no effort to improve him/herself in the attribute in which he or she has 2. Three (3) - This implies that the PC's capabilities are above average. This could perhaps imply that a PC is slightly good at pulling clever tricks or can hack programs or a software or websites via the use of a computer; due to having 3 points on Intelligence. Four (4) - The character is exceptionally good at the activities that involves the use of the attribute. For example, with 4 points of Perception, a PC will have a good chance of dodging an attack at the right timing, or have premonitions of danger from hints alone. Five (5) - The character is a true expert, a genius, or perhaps even famous for how unbelievably good he or she is, at performing something, which is related to the attribute; the character is at the pinnacle at his or her expertise, and has almost no more rooms for improvement (well, at his or her current age, anyway). Alice attribute with five points may imply that the Alice is very powerful, yet hard to control. Some of the graduates of Alice Academy, combined with their Alices, are apparently at said pinnacle of greatness due to how needed and demanded their Alices are, this is one of the reasons why the students are protected as national treasures; which is done by forcibly making them transfer into the Academy when an Alice is discovered. Next, we'll have an in-depth look into the attributes themselves; Strength: Other than physical capabilities and combat abilities, it also determines your PC's current physical state. If you put one point on your PC's Strength attribute; you're implying (as supported by your character's background or personality), that your PC is crippled, or have even lost an arm, or has some kind of a disease that makes his or her body extremely weak, as one point specifically means that a PC has below average Strength. However, this can also imply that the PC's body hasn't developed properly so far, due to being very young. Four points may mean that your character is either very skilled, have learned something such as martial arts - or any other school of fighting techniques - or he or she has developed lots of muscles in the body through harsh amounts of exercises. Strength attribute can be increased regardless, via the use of Alices, or through specially made food imbued with powers of Alice from the Central Town, the amount of additional points that gets added varies. Dexterity: This shows how fast a PC is. From how much or how far the PC can run, or how fast, to having more stamina through each points of Dexterity, it can also be used to allow a PC's mind to concentrate faster to use his or her Alice faster, and speaking of that, this also implies that the PC may have fast-thinking as well. Alices such as Flying Alice can help to temporarily increase Dexterity as well. Perception: Particularly the attribute that helps to have strong senses, keen ones that gains premonition of danger, either via hints or the PC's eyes and ears. The use of Perception varies. Taking proper guesses through hints from words or certain happenings alone, or strong instincts that allows the PC to feel blood-lust, killer intent, violent aura, evil vibes, etc. or simple feeling of a coming attack, or someone about to make a move. It is necessary for either figuring things out, or taking action at the correct timing. Alices such as Cat-Dog Alice can be used to help temporarily increase Perception as well. Alice: An attribute that clearly shows how strong or useful the Alice is. The higher the points added into this attribute, the stronger it is. However, this may also make it harder for the owner of the Alice to control it. If the user is unable to control it properly, the Alice may: go out of control at random times, may give passive statistical effects at all times, may cause health of the user to deteriorate if the user's Alice form is Limited. Intelligence: This attribute determines whether your PC is illiterate, sane, a genius... or one of whom who is known to be insanely intelligent. Above three is required to have the career of a Teacher, and also to be a Scientist, Doctor, and the many fields of expertise that requires knowledge of any type of science. This includes even the skills and fast-paced mind required for being a software developer, to being a cunning hacker. In this RP, due to the age restrictions, PCs may not have more than two points on this attribute unless they're skilled at fields such as software development, hacking, historian, or just being a clever tactician as a middle school student. Additionally, one with higher Intelligence can use their Alices more faster and efficiently, this also means better control over their Alice. This of course doesn't include some of the members of the Technical Alice type, as they have passive intelligence supplied by Alices such as Invention Alice. Charisma: An important trait your PC would require to delve into the society. Points in this particular attribute may be used to get acquainted with others, making friends, showing leadership skills, impressing, deceiving, or even scooping information out of people via thorough persuasion. These can all be achieved through careful use of Charisma; depending on the PC's personality and the base value of the Charisma. Three or above will be required to make speeches that appropriately catches others' attention in several situations, the purpose may even be to move a person's heart, or for even acting - the motive may vary - it all ultimately leads to manipulating people with proper ways of dealing with them, and the effects can be magnified through the use of Alice; such as Sound Alice, or Pheromone Alices for example. Note: Do note that you shouldn't put points on attributes carelessly. You have to carefully explain why your PC's statistics is the way it is through the background or personality (loose implication is okay). Putting three points on Intelligence doesn't mean the PC is above average in terms of being smart, good with grades, with computer, planning, and anything. Each extra points (above 2) are meaning that your character is particularly good with something related to the attribute (I.E: three points on intelligence to mean that the student is very good at memorizing, or a good tactician). About the RP: Spoiler: - You start in this RP with your PC who is at the age of a middle schooler (13-15). The country is Japan, but area in which the events takes place is Alice Academy, where all the PCs and NPCs will be in. The time is set in the same era that we're living in. We'll go with 2009, April 10th (Spring), Monday (please guys, don't bother me so much with days like on previous RP; it's not that important). - You can't play a non-Alice. Unless the Alice of your PC has the Childhood Form. - Your character can't be a member of the Dangerous Ability Class without permission (I'll also have to confirm that the Alice of the PC can be used for harm). - Star Rankings are assigned by me, I'll be carefully looking through the PC's profile before making a decision. Most PCs will be Double Star students regardless, because a students of the Elementary School Division are required to be Double Stars before they can graduate to the Middle School Division. - I know I said I'll be assigning Star Ranks to the PCs, but I'm probably not giving out any Special Star. Mainly because most of the Special Star students are from the High School Division (except for a few exceptions like Natsume Hyuuga from the manga), and that they're known as the 'true geniuses' with formidable Alices. Hence, they'll only be there are NPCs. - Most of the Special Stars are on a league of their own (hence NPCs), either with more than one Alices, or a really strong Alice. Their statistics' limits are broken by me... because I couldn't make sense of their abilities and capabilities with 15 points (sorry about that, thought I could keep them balanced). - Forms of Alices are determined by dice rolls done for each and every PCs (this includes few of the NPCs). This is how it's done. Once a dice is rolled, if the result is: one, then it's Childhood Form. If two: then it's Diffuse. If three: Intermittent. If four: Limited. If five: I decide (hooray?). If six: you get the chance to decide (boo... ?). - The currency on Japan is usually Yen, but in the case of Alice Academy they're called 'Rabbits' ('RT' for short). Each Rabbits are worth 100 Yen. Alice Academy gives allowances to the students every month: 5 Rabbits for No stars, 30 Rabbits for Single Stars, 50 Rabbits for Double Stars, and 100 Rabbits for Triple Stars, and 300 Rabbits for Special Stars. - Every PCs will have to play as middle school students. However, you can have your PC either recently enter Alice Academy as a middle school student (so it'd only been an year or two since the PC transferred to the Academy and said PC may still be unfamiliar with some things in the Academy), or make it so that the PC has been transferred into the Academy many years ago, and naturally graduated from the Elementary School Division. - Age limit is 13-15. - This is more of a request: try to make the character creative to contribute to the uniqueness of the RP itself. There will be a few special NPCs made for the sake of the plot, but I want more interesting things in this RP. What I want are actual interactions between characters and perhaps some battles that won't drag on till the end of time. - I'll be posting results of the dice rolls whenever possible and also may give explanations as so what happens why, and for what reason - after rolling the dices. I may get lazy when I have to write too much for too many dice rolls, though. - Please don't try to make an overly-super-capable character with an overpowered Alice (unless discussed with me about it prior). - The RP will start (there will be an opening post) some time after we have the minimum amount of character profiles submitted in the thread. Minimum number of players required to have the RP started in seven (8), including me. - Please don't make an NPC on your own, unless it's your PC's relatives, if said relatives are siblings who appears on Alice Academy... well, we'll have to talk that out. - Yes, I'm making a Skype chat like every other time I do for an RP. If you don't have Skype, go get it. - It's probably obvious by now, but it may as well be a good idea to PM me the profile of your PC before you post it. I'd have to see if it's properly done and would have to assign Star Ranking and the Alice Form anyway. - Lastly, I'm not your ideal Game Master (GM) who's always right about everything. But my calls does hold weight (because I'm the GM, derp). I'll try to play this out as fairly as possible, I ask all of the prospective players to bear with me. Above all things, let's all have fun, but within the reigns of the rules. Terminology: Spoiler: Note: Ignore this section if you've watched the anime or manga series (because it's a wall of text). However, I'd ask people who haven't watched the anime or manga series to take some time to get familiar with some of the terms and systems that have been adopted into this RP via the series. Most information are given in order to avoid confusions (pretty much spoiler-free). The Gakuen Alice wiki still has much more information, so you may visit that site if you want to learn more. However, be warned that the wiki's pages definitely contains spoilers here and there. This section is for those who barely knows anything about the terminology of the series Gakuen Alice. So basically, this section contains some basic facts from the series. I might have missed a thing or two though, I'll add any such thing if do I realize it. ----------------- Alice: In Alice Academy, each student has a special ability, or power, called an "Alice". This is something special one can be born with, whether they like it or not. It is speculated that most of the Alices' parents are also Alices. Alices can be grouped in several ways, such as in types, which describes the affect of the Alice, and Form, which describes how often the power can be used. The power level is categorized via Star Ranking. There are five Alice types: Latent, Technical, Somatic, Special and Dangerous types. There are four Forms of Alices: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent and Limited. Alice Academy: A school in Tokyo, Japan for children born with Alices. When they (government or the academy) find one, they would try to bring the child to this school. Students of Gakuen Alice may not leave until graduation or they if no longer have their Alice. They may write letters, but letters leaving and coming to Gakuen Alice are being screened. The school also gives money to the parents of the students who attend the school. Gakuen Alice consists of four main parts: Elementary School branch, Middle School branch, High School branch and Central Town. Also, there are a lot of forests around the buildings, with names like 'Northern Woods' etc. The Northern Woods is a place feared by many children. Gakuen Alice's school courses are no different from any other school, there are regular courses such as Math and History. However, the big difference is that the students and teachers have Alices. The students can not use their Alice ability during class without permission. There are also Alice based classes for students to attend to learn how to use their Alices. Students are ranked in a Star Rank system by good behavior and grades. The school is separated from the outside world with a tall gate that surrounds the whole area. The gate is dangerous to cross over, because those who do are electrocuted. Once someone passes the gate, the teachers are notified and actions - to return the student to the school - are taken. Other than the gate, the school is also protected by a powerful barrier. Not much is known about the creation of the school and its history. What is known is that the three principals: Principal Kuonji, Himemiya, and Kazumi Yukihira, have been the Elementary, Middle, and High school principals for as long as anyone has remembered. The school is intended to be a place of protection for young Alice users and where they learn how to use there Alice powers. The high security precautions are due to Alices getting kidnapped for their abilities; having them be regarded as "national treasures", as such, the academy has continued to have strict policies of protection for the students from since a very long time, probably from when it was formed. Elementary School Branch: This is the part of the academy where children from the age of 3 to 12 study. Class A (for kids from 3 to 9) and Class B (characters from the anime or manga series were in this class) are in this branch. Middle School Branch: This is the school for students whose age range from 13 to 15. It is also known to be the gossip nest of the academy. This is the division in which our RP will be focused on, as most of the PCs and student NPCs (even teachers) are of this division. High School Branch: The school for the oldest students. No one else except the high schoolers are permitted to go there. No one exactly knows what happens there. There's a rumor that a warp-hole exists in there. There are also strange looking sculptures around the school, which were apparently made by Alchemy Alice, which attacks anyone uninvited. Central Town: A place (image) where Gakuen Alice students can go and spend their money, but must get permission to go first. Strange and unique items can be bought there from Alice merchants. It is stated that it was made by people with Carpentering Alices for other Alices. Students' I.D medals: The students carry I.D. medals that fit in a wallet along with their respective I.D. cards. The I.D. medal has the student's I.D number and a transmitting device in it that was created by someone with an alchemy alice. This can be further explain via an image: click here. Rabbits: The currency which the academy follows. They're only usable in the academy, especially the central town. Each Rabbits are worth around 100 Yen. Star Ranking: In Alice Academy, every student is ranked on a Star system that is based on the individual's Alice power, grades, and good behavior, among other things. Students can receive one of five ranks: No Star, Single, Double, Triple, and Special (here is an image to further describe it). Their rank is displayed by the appropriate number of stars pinned on their shirt or cuff (wherever the student decides to pin them), and may grant them extra privileges or discipline depending on the rank. No Star: Students with No Stars are generally the youngest students in the academy (7 years or younger). They have weak Alices and poor behavior, basically being sub-average students. Since they have a No Star rank, they do not wear any pin on their shirt/cuffs. Since No Stars are generally young, they are not treated worse because of their low rank. However, some older (age 10+) Alices who manages to become a No Star ranking, they may get discriminated in many ways, it may result in the student to be: unable to go to Central Town without a chaperone, subject to extra chores, small food rations, and a general dislike by the teachers. No Stars receive a 5 Rabbit/500 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 5 dollars). Single Star: Single Stars are usually in the Elementary Division, possessing weaker Alices, good behavior, and good grades. Basically, they are slightly below-average students. Although still a low rank, Single Stars are serious students and can possess much future potential. They are represented by one star pin on their shirt/cuff. A Single Star ranking is needed to enter the Elementary Division. Single Stars revive a 30 Rabbit/3,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 30 US dollars), as well as regular food portions and not many benefits. Double Star: These individuals are above average, but still not particularly brilliant or special. Most students possessing a Double Star rank are in the Junior Division, but some have been seen in the Elementary Division (such as Sumire). Double Stars have strong Alices, good or great grades, and good behavior. The are represented by two star pins on their shirt/cuff. A Double Star ranking is needed to graduate into the Middle Division. Double Stars receive a 50 Rabbit/5,000 (image) yen monthly allowance (about 50 US dollars), as well as larger food rations and some extra privileges. Triple Star: Triple Star students are above-average students that have very strong Alices and great grades. It is almost unheard of for anyone other than a Senior Division student to possess a Triple Star, and so they are well regarded around the school as powerful and studious individuals. Triple Stars are shown with three star pins on the shirt/cuff. A Triple Star is needed to graduate into the Senior Division. Triple Stars receive a 100 Rabbit/10,000 yen image) monthly allowance (about 100 US dollars) with very large food portions and other multiple benefits. Special Star: Also known as "Principals", Special Star students are the true geniuses of the Academy. There are only six Special Star-ranked students in the entire Academy known currently, posing as truly gifted individuals with formidable Alices and grades. A Special star student is represented by one pin on the shirt/cuff: a single star enclosed in a circle. Special Stars receive a 300 Rabbit/30,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 300 US dollars) as well as many benefits and extremely large food rations. Form: Each Alice has one of four possible forms, or shapes. The form cannot be controlled by the individual, and it specifies how much the Alice can be used, and how often: Childhood: The Alice will appear in the child normally at the beginning, but disappears as the individual ages into adulthood. Once the person's Alice has completely disappeared, the individual is dismissed from the academy. Diffuse: The Alice can be used at any time but in relatively low levels of power. Intermittent: The Alice can only be used for a short period, at any time, but at a high level of power. But every time the Alice is used, the Alice shortens until the time when the user loses his or her Alice completely and is let go by the academy. Limited: The power level of the Alice is great and powerful. The Alice may be used as often and as much as desired. However, every time the Alice is used, the user's body deteriorates. Eventually, because of the overusing of the Alice, the user dies an early death. Alice Class/Types: At Alice Academy, classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories: Latent Type: Latent Alices have to do with "ESP" abilities, and are commonly associated to superheros. Most of the students of the Academy have Latent-type Alices. It's class is the most popular one in the academy. Technical Type: Alices with technical abilities usually has Alices which creates something. Those in this class tend to work independently and sell their works to sponsors. These sponsors help support the club. Inventions by this class are very popular during the Alice Festival. Somatic Type: Somatic Alices include powers related to physical and pheromone manipulation. Basically, these Alices physically change or enhance their users, or the person the Alice is targeted at. Special Type: Students with Alices that do not quite fit in the other groups are put into the Special-type, and so the Alices in the class are usually rare and one of a kind in the Academy. It is the smallest class by far, and the rest of the students think low of individuals with Special Alices. Special-type Alices include, but is not limited to, Nullification, ability to 'live in the mirror world', or even Shadow Manipulation. Dangerous Type: Students with Alices of this type are put into the Dangerous Ability class and forced to do secret missions for the school. The Dangerous Ability class is moderated by the mysterious masked teacher, Persona. The students in this class are also unable to participate in some of the events of the school. One example of a student with a Dangerous Ability is Aoi (the Fire Alice user of this RP) whose Fire Alice has the Latent Type, but is so strong and potentially harmful that it is in the Dangerous Ability Type. Alices Stones: Also called brinjals, those with Alices are able to make Alice Stones, which are stones that have their Alice power in them. These stones are differently colored and the deeper the pigment of the stone, the more feelings and Alice power is applied to it. A legend in Gakuen Alice is that if a couple exchanges Alice stones, they are soul-mates. Also, by using the Stealing Alice one can steal an another's Alice ability and receive an Alice stone(s). Those with the Stealing Alice can further utilize these stones by inserting it others using the Insertion Alice, giving them a "Temporary Alice". Restraints: If one's Alice is considered too strong and a danger to themselves or others, they are usually expected to wear Alice restraints. They come in many forms, commonly seen as accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. Wearing these items will limit the Alice power of the wearer. There is apparently a Black Cat mask which is said to be the strongest restraint, and can only be removed by a teacher. Alice Festival: The Alice Festival is one of the three main events at Alice Academy. The Ability classes (except the Dangerous Ability class) each host a booth. At the end of the festival is an Alice Festival dance, which is a masquerade dance where a legend says the last pair to dance becomes soul-mates. Booths hosted by each Alice classes: Latent - Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan Ride. Technical - Auction of various inventions. Somatic - Snow White in the Woods Play, Alice in Wonderland ride. Special - Aladdin RPG. Sports Festival: It takes place in Spring time, and is a major event that all Alice Academy students look forward to. The school is split up into two teams, the Red team and the White team. The Red team consists of the Special Ability group and the Latent Ability group. The White team has the Somatic Ability group and the Technical Ability group. The Dangerous Ability types are aloud to choose which team to join and are split around 50/50. The Sports Festival includes events such as an obstacle course, relay race, a borrowing race, a cheer-leading contest and "horse race". During the festival all Alices are only allowed to use their Alice three times. They have a sticker on them that keeps track of the amount of times you have used your Alice. Once a student uses their Alice three times, the sticker automatically becomes an Alice surpresser. If the Alice if used anyway the sticker will burst, causing the user to faint. That team is then disqualified from the event. If someone removes someone else's sticker on purpose their team will also be disqualified. Violence is also not allowed, and if you hurt someone, with or without you Alice, your team will be disqualified and you will receive a punishment. Not included in the rules at the beginning, but another way to be disqualified from an event is to have the wrong person participate in an event without permission or notification Christmas Ball: The Christmas Ball preparations are done on December 23th the day before the Christmas Ball. The student body including teachers are divided into two teams, the "Decorating Team and the "Cake Team". It is a choice on what team one wants to be on, but if one team gets too many volunteers, a drawing is done. The preparations are all done in the building of the ball itself. The Cake Team's job is to make a giant cake for the Christmas Ball, and other various desserts such as a solid chocolate cake. The Decoration Team's job is to decorate the ballroom, as well as the giant Christmas tree. The ball officially starts on December 24th or Christmas Eve. Students are dressed in Christmas outfits to celebrate the occasion. The schedule of the day as followed is Free Time, the Gift Exchange, a Pie Competition, Caroling Teams, and the Masquerade Ball. Students are given Christmas outfits to wear to the ball. The girls outfits have two types for each division and boys only one type for each division. Although, the Elementary section boys have two types of Christmas outfits for some reason. Hana Hime Festival: The Hana Hime Festival or Flower Princess Festival is a special event hosted by the Middle School Principal, Himemiya. Due to Himemiya's preference, men are not allowed to go. The invitees are expected to go to the Hana Hime Den where the event will be held and dressed in kimonos. Treats and desserts will be served at the party. At the event invitees will receive a Hana Hime name. The nicknames have a flower meaning to it. Hana Hime Den: Hana Hime Den is the location the Hana Hime Festival and where Himemiya resides. It is incredibly large and spacious, so someone not familiar with the den could easily get lost. The den is safeguarded by Himemiya's Barrier Alice and, because she lives in the den, her Alice is at its strongest at lowering Alice power of Alices. Deep within the Hana Hime den is a dungeon which apparently has a rumor which says that a monster once locked inside it due to it being very dangerous. Map of Alice Academy: Spoiler: Alice Academy is the place where your PC is going to be living in. Despite this fact not being largely known to the general public; it's a very large campus, to the point that it's awe inducing to those who first enters it. An academy which is backed up internally by the Japanese government, one would think that the way the academy is, is rather befitting. The following image is the map of the academy provided in the manga: There are many unique places in the academy: A: National Alice Headquarters - The place where the teachers apparently reside in. Meetings between teachers, or even principals, as well as officials from the government in charge of the Academy - for making decisions for anything important also takes place in this place. B: Central Town - A town that is mostly comprised of shops, and places that provides entertainment services of many kind. It may not seem like it, but it's made with the use of Alchemy Alice alone. C: Elementary School - The school branch that teaches children from the age of 3-12. D: Elementary School Dorm - Where elementary school students stays in. E: Mr Bear's Guard Cottage - Home to a mysterious bear in the Northern Forest, of which it's builder is unknown... As one of the 'strange things that exist in the Northern Forest', the bear is known to be a guardian of the forest. It is rumored that the bear is dangerous, despite it's appearance. F: Middle School - The school branch that teacher students from the age of 13-15. All PCs are students on this particular school branch, as well as some of the NPCs (and some NPC teachers as well). G: Middle School Dorm - Where middle school students reside in. This is where the PCs and student NPCs will have a room in. H: High School Dorm - Where High school students will stay in. I: High School - The school branch which teachers students over the age of 15. Only high school students are allowed to go there, any uninvited guests are attacked to keep them away. Aoi took the item with her shaking hands, and looked. Just as she did, the frightening big chick turned around - birds could be heard flocking away - and Aoi caught a glimpse of it's face. It chirped loudly. In it's languaged, it cried out 'I'm hungry' but people wouldn't understand. Aoi yelled out of fear mixed with surprise from the surreal scene that abruptly unfolded before her very eyes.

"It's coming this way. . . ? Everyone, run!" Ing shouted, as the gigantic chick started to run towards the group. It's abnoxiously loud chirping and the land-shaking caused from it's running made the group of four speed up even more from fear alone.

"W-Why is it coming towards us?!!" Aoi yelled while running.

Ing took a guess, "Maybe it thinks that we're his breakfast!" he said with a bland expression. As if not surprised. He looked back towards the chick while running, and used his banana gun; shooting watermelon seeds towards it. To his dismay, it did nothing.

"How can a chick even be that huge to begin with?!!"

"My papa always used to say that if you ate a lot you would grow up big and strong!" Ine butted in "Maybe someone fed that chick waaaaay too much!"

"I-It's too fast! It's gonna catch up at this rate!" Aoi yelled, coming to the realization regarding their grand misfortune while she peered at the monstrosity behind her, "Isn't there anything we can do about this?!"

Ing thought for a moment, but nothing exactly came to mind.

Meanwhile, Shouta was already inside the forest, and peered across the sight of the vast array of woods. It felt like something was happening, but he couldn't pinpoint what it was. He felt tremors from the ground, and repeatedly heard chirping of a certain strange bird, A bird this loud... ? That can't be anything strange... right? he thought to himself, to relieve himself of the premonition of danger.

A loud thump was heard, it was the giant yellow chick stomping the ground; chasing it's apparent food. Shouta looked to the left, then to the right, and found it rampaging, the earth was clearly shaking, as if scared. The continuous ear-deafening sound and the vibrations from the earth made him felt like his head was spinning; giving him a headache. Looking at this unreal situation, Shouta said with disbelief, "... What the hell... ? They haven't said anything about this!!" Shouta thought of running away instantly, but then he witnessed a group of students running away from the chick - at the same time, it was following them - he realized Sakura was one of the students in the group. Realizing the current dangerous situation, Shouta resolved himself to somehow stop it. With his Alice, things he couldn't do a few days ago should be possible, he thought.

Running towards the chick, he mustered all his courage and energy to give a loud screech, "AAAAARGHHHHH!!"

The giant chick stopped.

Shouta felt relief wash over his mind, he sighed, "Phew."

However, to the giant chick, the screech came off as something 'louder than usual' and it looked towards Shouta with prying and expecting eyes, as if he is the savior, it chirped especially loudly this time - saying in it's language, 'Are you the one delivering my food today?' but of course, Shouta wouldn't understand. Misunderstanding, the chick turned towards the tiny little Shouta, and started to dash towards him in full speed for breakfast.

Terrified, Shouta turned three-hundred-sixty degrees and ran for his very life, but felt somewhat satisfied, "At least it's not chasing after Hiiragi-san," yet, he could clearly feel the price he was about to pay for hindering the chick's chase for food, "But now it's chasing after me!! God damn it!"

Ing looked back, "It stopped chasing us, guys," he calmly reported, the others looked back. The chick was indeed not behind their tails now.

Ine sighed with relief, collapsing onto the floor, panting hard.

"Phew, finally... we're safe now, right?" Aoi asked, her face was wet with sweat. She gave a sigh of relief and looked around, "I wonder what made it stop chasing us though..."

"I don't think I want to know. I just don't want to be it's breakfast," Sakura said as she couldn't believe they where just chased by a giant chick.

"I know, right? This academy is crazy" She said with a fond smile, half jokingly.

Just when the chick stopped following them, Ing felt as though he heard someone else yelling. He couldn't be sure, because the chick itself was making quite a lot of ruckus on it's own, "I think it started following someone else instead of us. . . I'll go after it!" he declared, sprinting off towards the direction in which the chick went.

"You can't go by yourself! Ine exclaimed, Cheeks puffed to their full proportions, frustratedly following after Ing.

Sakura was a bit conflicted in following Ing and Ine or not, "Wait up you two!" Sakura said as she started following the two.

"Ah jeez you guys!" Aoi ran off behind Sakura, just as she started to follow the others.

The chick was steadily catching up to Shouta. Each time he looked back to check, it was getting closer and closer. He began running in a more erratic manner to escape the chick, making random turns to sidestep it when it came too close.

Desperately trying to lose the chick, Shouta hid behind a tree. After taking different random routes to be out of the chick's path of horror, he felt that this was a good solution to remedy the situation. He felt relief when he saw the chick passing by the tree he hid himself under, and sighed.

However, he saw the chick fell over, and it cried desperately, as if asking for help.

Aoi ran at full speed to catch up with the other members of her group. Beside her was Sakura who ran with her, and she found Ing standing in front of her, Ine seemed to be staring at something from beside Ing.

"What.... is this?!" Aoi thought out loud, reaching complete cessation in movement at stared at the scene before her.

The chick was tangled with green vines and strange plants were... walking over it's body?

This is the first time Aoi saw something more crazier than the chick itself. To top it all off, it was all happening in the same damn day. The chick was frantically trying to move around, but it could only attempt to repeatedly clash it's legs with the ground.

". . . Chick bondage. . . ?" Ing questioned the situation without any hesitation, taking out a camera to take pictures.

"Is this the time to take pictures?! What the hell are those things anyway?!"

"Haven't I already mentioned that? These are the so-called 'moving plants' that are rumored to be in here. . . I can't think what else they can be."

Hiding behind a thick tree, Sono watched the group of four through the trees. He knew this forest quite well, and had no fear of being lost. He was too far to hear what they were talking about, but close enough to see where they were going, and tailed them through the woods, I better get paid this time, thought Sono. Hearing the sound of a camera going off, he tried to get a better veiw. He had seen the chick before, but now it was all tangled up in vines. He figured that it was Amelia who was responsible for this. It turned out to be a perfect distraction and he looked for a perfect position to start working from.

"Guys don't you think we should help it?!" Sakura said, scared from the very strange sight. Looking at the peculiar sight of the strangest plants ever keeping a chick tangled u, but she still felt sorry for the chick that chased after them earlier, perhaps because Sakura likes animals a lot.

"Yeah, we should!" Ing said in excitement while putting his camera back in his pocket and he continued to search inside his pocket.

"E-Even if you say that... look!" Aoi pointed towards the things that walked around the chick - all over the scene.

There were strange-looking flowers with mouths, fangs were visible from their mouths. Trees with mouths had their roots disrupting the chick's movements, and there were strange plant-like things that couldn't even be described, but they were the most grotesque things that Aoi ever saw... "Are those some kind of beetles... ? Ew, saliva is dropping from their mouths!" she noted, but what she didn't notice was that a leaf was burned to nothing with said saliva.

Shouta peeked out from where he was hiding, hearing three voices. Two of them, he recognized: they were Sakura and Aoi. The third was a male voice he doesn't remember hearing. He saw the three observing the chick entangled in some strange kind of vines, and other flowers and trees with mouths, intent on eating the chick. Ew... What is with this forest? Giant birds and, now, carnivorous plants, seriously!? was Shouta's first reaction, but afterwards thought, The chick is in trouble, though, I can't just leave it to die! What are those guys doing?

"We'd just get caught in the plants like that chick if we went to help" Said Ine, downcast. She couldn't stand watching something in so much pain. "This is too cruel"

Aoi peered towards the student who seemed to be appearing from the other side. She stared until realizing it was Shouta, What's he doing here?! she thought, then looked around, He's better off from being here... then it seemed like Sakura made a strange sound, so her attention was diverted.

D-Don't you have you an invention that could help it Kouzuki-san!!"

"I have, but it's still in the experimental stage," Ing pulled out a relatively large lighter, and continued, "This was supposed to shoot out fire but. . ." Ing opened the lighter, bubbles started to spew out, "That happens. . ." He sighed.

"Are you kidding me...?" Shouta hadn't realized he had said that out loud, it was too absurd seeing a lighter which was that much of a failure. "A lighter that blows bubbles...?" he said as he walked over to the group.

"What are you doing here?" Aoi almost shouted, unable to control her tone of voice due to the situation, Shouta replied with a "Does that even matter now?"

Ing casually ignored Shouta despite noting that it was him who the chick went after; glad that he's safe, and went on with what was talking about earlier, "Yeah, it was supposed to blow fire out, but bubbles comes out instead... basically, it's an incomplete invention. Hahaha~" Ing laughed lightly and put his invention back in his pocket.

"I think we should just run back to the school then! If we can't do anything, surely the teachers can! We aren't gonna be able to do anything at this rate, other than become plant's food."

"And leave this poor chick here?" Asked Ine "too cruel" She mumbled again.

"By the time we run to the school it might be too late! We have to do something now!" Sakura said as she couldn't stand the idea of the chick being eaten by that monster plant.

"Say that after you know what to do about it!" Aoi retorted, "Because if we knew the answer, we wouldn't be arguing to begin with, right?!"

"Aoi-san" said Ine, downhearted "We can't just do nothing though" She remarked.

"Exactly my point... " Aoi looked down, it's pointless arguing with them, What's there that we can do, honestly?

In the dark forest, Sono was easily able to access his Alice's full potential. He'd have to use it in a managable short burst however, to avoid fatigue. Standing in an area when the trees were close together, he raised his hands, manipulating the shadows. Slowly the shadows weaved through the trees towards the four trespassers. As they approached, creepy humanoid figures rose up from the shadows. Their hands and feet were narrow like spikes reaching and swinging crazily in the air. Lurching eeriely trying to grab at the students. They had no features beyond their recognizable shape or a small chlid, but they had no faces. Fully black it was hard to notice them in the dark forest until they were too close. Pinching his fingers he rubbed them back and forth. This made tangeble areas inside the throats of his shadows begin to make screechy laughing sounds.

A cold chill went down Shouta's back as he started hearing strange laughter coming from below him. Then, the shadows around him began tugging at one of his legs. "Whoa, whoa!!" He tried to pry himself free without losing his balance as the shadows continued pulling.

Noticing the strange dark figures and the strange sounds of laughter, Aoi almost squealed with fear; backing away without a second thought, "W-What the hell are these things?!" she could feel her sweat travelling past her face, as the black shapes possessing human figure slowly advanced towards them, "Where did they even come from?!" at this point she started to think what's going on. This is way too surreal, and up to some extent, she started to regret her decision to help out Sakura, feeling powerless and hopeless. She truly felt like running away. But she couldn't just do that, either, because it was her decision to accompany her, and she had to stand by it.

Scared, Ine watched in horror as the black shadows grew closer. Remembering that there was someone in her class with a similar Alice she was slightly angry, but most of all, worried for the sake of her friends. "This isn't good" She said with a frightened expression.

Looking to where Aoi was looking, Sakura noticed the strange black figures that were heading towards them, "I-I think we should run away now!!" Sakura screamed as she started running.

"W-What are we gonna do if you run away now?!" Aoi yelled in disappointment because it was Sakura who didn't wanted to run away earlier, now it felt ironic, and she felt dumb for not running earlier, "Wait up!!" she said, running off as well.

Confused with why they ran away, Ing said to himself, What's so scary about some dark figures and that funny laughing sound? He shot the dark figures with his watermelon gun before following them with a confused look on his face.

While beginning to follow the others, she looked back at the shadowy figures. She knew exactly who had made them, she thought maybe she would have to tell him off or something. She then fully turned around and ran to catch up with the others.

"Hey, hey! What about me!?" Shouta still struggled with the shadow-born creatures clinging to his leg. It was starting to irritate him. However, he finally managed to shake them off before he reached his limit, and followed behind Sakura, Aoi, Ing and Ine. "What were you guys doing here? Why did you come into this godforsaken forest!?" It was good to know that Sakura had others with her to keep her safe, but this also meant more people to suffer through this ordeal that the bullies earlier forced upon her.

"Because Hiiragi-san accepted the challenge that our classmates gave her, obviously!" Aoi blurted out while running. She'd rather ask how he was here now, but she just figured that he was worried after learning what was going on.

Sono had to stop himself from laughing out loud. It brought back memories of him coming here to practice. Seeing that his target was properly terrified he needed to finish up the job. He would need to move with the group as they were herded out of the forest. Unfortunately for him he noticed that they were running in the wrong direction. Where they should have been running east instead of north back to school. Moving through the trees, he'd have to think of something to change their direction and fast.

The group stopped, the shadows were not behind them anymore. Feeling relieved, they eventually slowed down until they stopped to take a break. Huffing and panting, everyone sat over the grasses on the ground, "W-What was all that about anyway? This forest is so crazy!"

"You got that right!" Sakura exclaimed, panting as well from being tired and worried at the same time, "Now I know why those bullies wanted me to come here!" she cried out, finally admitting how terrible the idea of agreeing without thinking is.

"T-Those black things were even scarier than the plants... d-do you guys think t-those were the g-g-ghosts?!" Aoi asked, stuttering, freaking out from the realization in her mind she started to question.

"T-That can't be, Kiriya-san! G-Ghosts can't be real!" Sakura said, still scared but she had no intention to believe that gibberish. However, she felt doubt at the back of her head now, yet still tried to deny what she saw with her own eyes.

"I don't think those were ghosts" Ine said with certainty.

"Yep, those weren't ghosts," Ing looked back from where they ran.

"... I think they probably are. We can't just pretend to not see what we just saw, you know," Aoi said, shoving aside her thought of disbelief.

"..." Sakura couldn't find any more words to retort, she simply stayed silent and randomly looked towards the trees before her.

Ghosts, those? Are they for real? I thought they were some kinda dolls or something... although I'd worry more about how they appeared and just tugged on my leg like that... it was scary, he admitted mentally, not voicing his actual opinions in the matter.

Ing had been rather clueless all this time, What's so scary about those things? he nonchalantly thought, "Umm, guys, you do realize that we took a direction we shouldn't have, right?" Ing said, with his bland expression, "We went way too far towards the east, we sorta missed High School building where we're supposed to go to."

Aoi's face turned pale, "Agh, I totally forgot about that!"

"Me too!" Sakura added.

Ine puffed her cheeks up in realization at the fact that they now had to hold off eating for another long while.

Just as Sakura stood up, she noticed something in the tree in front of her. The sunlight was lightly showering the tree with it's heat, and the shadows of it's woods and leaves... started to move? Curious, Sakura walked closer, not understanding what may just have happened. She felt that it may just have been her imagination - still feeling skeptical - and wanted to make sure it was just her eyes playing games with her.

The closer she went, she started to think otherwise, the shadow moved to form a peculiar figure. A black body, spikes instead of actual legs, it was short, but something about it invoked fear on Sakura, she yelled, backing away instantly.

Aoi yelped in surprise from just hearing Sakura, then turned to face the approaching terror. Ing, alarmed, looked in every direction after noticing the malice in the air; the strange dark monsters had completely surrounded them.

Sono smiled. "This should be entertaining," he said quietly to himself. They stopped at last to perhaps gather their thoughts. With this however, he could seal the deal. Lifting his hands, he again summoned his puppets once again. Slowly the shadows worked their way from behind the trees with their jerky movements. Pulling his trick, again he pinched his fingers rubbing them back and forth, the shadows began to laugh like before. Everyone seems to be properly scared, but one boy who only looked on uninterested. Lets see how you like this? he though to himself as if accepting a challenge. He sent his group of shadows in to touch to group.

Shouta looked around, they were indeed surrounded. Stopping might have been a bad idea, but they couldn't run forever either. The so-called ghosts did chased them after all, but turned out they're slower than he thought. He looked left and right, those black figures were coming to him, in his defense, he only had his Alice to combat these strange things because he didn't wanted to imagine what would happen if he touched them. The strange thought of him getting some sort of an infection was an actual possibility, or so he thought.

"ARGGHHHHHHHH!!" Shouta roared, unleashing his Alice thoughtlessly to protect his safety. This heavily effected the others' ears, but barely stopped the enemies, "Huh?" he looked around, "That really did nothing after all?!" he yelled out in frustration.

Covering her ears Ine crouched over in pain. "Too loud" She cried.

Aoi panicked, the screeching ear-deafening noise made it worse as she couldn't even hear anything anymore. Not knowing what to do, she tried to run from the little black monster that tried to approach her, just as she was about to go past the trees that originally lied behind her, she stumbled upon a thin branch of root that lied on the ground, and fell over, "Kiriya-san!" Sakura yelled out - also unable to hear anything - going towards Aoi, but realized that she couldn't make it, as the black monster was rather quick and nimble with it's movements.

Desperate, Sakura shoved aside her fear and jumped onto the black figure - grabbing it with both her arms - before it could catch Aoi who lied on the ground; terrified. This surprised everyone, as the black figure subsequently vanished, the shadow connected to it also dispersed.

Sono frowned, he couldn't believe his little friend was vanquished just like that, "What th-" just as Sono was about to think what to do next, suddenly he felt a hand pulling his shoulder from behind, "Alright, this is good enough. We'll leave them alone, let's go now." Amelia said, panting. Sono realized that Amelia was panting heavily, and that wasn't all, she seemed more than just exhausted, perhaps she was even injured. What the hell happened to her? he thought, but then realized that it's none of his business, and stopped his line of thought right there, "You better pay me this time, double as promised."

"Sakura-chan?" Ine called out, her ears still ringing from being so close to Shouta's cry.

Aoi looked up, "What just happened?"

"I... um, I don't know. I just wanted to stop it from catching you, Kiriya-san. I tried to stop it with all my strength, and it vanished from under the arms,"

"Well done, well done," said Miya as she casually rolled into the scene with her wheelchair. She wore her usual smile on her face as she pleasantly smiled at Sakura specifically, "Hiiragi-kun, you have a wonderful Alice," she announced, then slowly reached out her hand to Aoi, who was still lying on the ground.

"Um... wonderful Alice? What do you mean, Miya-sensei?" Sakura asked, confused and dumbfounded.

Aoi slowly got up, then dusted herself, "Sensei, what are you doing here? What's going on?" she questioned, still in a somewhat state of panic.

"We've actually been watching the little adventure of you all. Of course, we'd stop it if something truly dangerous happened... and it happened, those phantoms appeared," she said, looking at the trees and their shadows, "Anyway, you're all safe now."

"As for you... Hiiragi-kun," Miya slowly said, then raised her arms towards the sky, "Congratulations, you pass the entrance exam!"

"... Huh? W-What do you mean?!"

"We only allowed you all to come here because we held onto the possibility that you'd perhaps use your Alice without knowing it. Your Alice activated a while ago when you tried to stop that little phantom from touching Kiriya-kun."

"S-So... you said wonderful Alice but, what exactly is it?!" Sakura asked, smiling. She felt very excited.

"It's the Nullification Alice! Very wonderful, right?"

"Yes, Miya-sensei! Wait... what does that do?"

Miya explained, "It nullifies Alice. You basically have the Alice that renders other Alice useless, Hiiragi-kun."

"Other Alice... wait, does that mean all these black things were actually someone's Alice?!"

"Mhm! There are many strange things in this forest, and they're actually Alices of others left over... well, anyway, let's head back to the school, shall we? My assistant can't handle the class without me for too long, I'll let you all off for skipping class just this time."

Aoi sighed, truly glad with relief, "Phew, at least I'm not gonna get detention for joining Hiiragi-san."

"But if you skip class again... you might not go away unscathed."

Aoi and Sakura squealed in fear from Miya's death-cold smile that truly made the two scared from the bottom of their heart.

Ing simply smiled, "Too bad I didn't get to test some of my inventions. Perhaps I was too cautious. There is always next time though. . ." he whispered to no one in particular.

Shouta sighed, it was finally over, he thought, I'm glad for her. Now they won't have a reason to bully her, and decided to walk back to the school with the others.

Ine smiled, she realised she hadn't been much help to Sakura but she was happy that now the rest of the class wouldn't bully her. She knew how hard it was to be ostracized by classmates. As she walked away she thought that with her new friends the academy might get more exciting.

Kage Sono and Amelia walked in the brisk ground, going past countless woods before Amelia suddenly came to a stop after going in front of a tree. Allowing her back to rest against the tree; she suddenly started to rest, panting heavily, as Sono looked down on her, she took out a purse from her pockets.

"What happened to you Amelia?" he asked for now disregarding the purse. "You are my main source of work right now. I can't have you keeling over on me." Sono was worried for her well being, but he had appearances to keep. He didn't know of any missions she could have gone on that he wouldn't have at least heard about.

"You don't know?" Amelia asked, frowning, then shrugged, "Well, long story short, I had a mission, and took a hit. It's nothing much, but I'm really feeling it because some people happened to barge into this forest... "

"You are lucky my punishment wasn't longer," he said sitting down in the grass. "Do you need me to take you somewhere?"

"Nah, the least I can do is take care of myself. I'll be heading to the hospital after this. I think our Idol almost took a bullet too," Amelia sighed, then got angry, "Tch! Who the hell told these guys to come here anyway? If any of my specifically modified plants senses something, they wake up from their dormant state which is the same as using my Alice when that happens."

Sono smirked something devlish. "I know the ones responsible. Pay me for this job, and consider it a favor. I always like collecting favors." Hearing that the Idol almost took a bullet didn't make him feel anything. As far as he was concerned they weren't on good terms.

Amelia handed two notes, they were 200 RTs, essentially 20,000 Yen, quite a lot of money. It'd take her two months to get this amount of money if she simply waited for the school's allowances, "Here, I doubled it of course. Should be a better pay than that crappy Principal's."

Sono took the notes from her and put it in his wallet. He was barely able to fit it in there with the other notes. "Always a pleasure doing business with you," he replied. Now that his pay was settled he would add the bullies to his list of people to mess with. They wouldn't be hard to find. But before that Sono had a few more questions for Amelia.

"What is going on lately? I have been left out of the loop it seems. No missions have come my way."

"I'll count on you with the favor," Amelia said, her face seemed to have gotten even more pale, "I'm not sure, we got missions to protect some bigwigs recently. Last night it was to protect a certain guy who'll come to this Academy to perform in the Alice Festival."

"This is just my guess, but I think they want to keep at least one person from the Dangerous Ability class within the academy in case some terrorists do manage to infiltrate while the other members are out."

"It only makes sense that they would do that if the school were being targeted." Sono said with a sigh, "Still, protecting these little snots isn't on my priority list. Leaving me here probably isn't their top choice. What are the others up to?"

"Hmm... the Idol is protecting our uh, boss? Yeah, I think that's what she's doing. As for others, I think Aoi is coming out of the hospital today, she overused her Alice the other day. I don't know what the rest are up to, I did hear that most members are given missions to protect bigwigs because of the festival," she sighed, "Who knows, you might get a job now that I'm done with my work. I honestly feel like sleeping though, so the kids here will get kidnapped while I nap, if they ever infiltrate anyway."

"Well make sure you sleep in a hospital, and not out here in the forest. Most of these kids think its some kind of test of bravery. Of course I'm happy to take more of your money for security detail" Sono replied.

"Heh, if I'd rather have my plants as guards then spend money rashly," Amelia responded with a smirk as sweat ran down her face, "Anyway, I think our business is done, I'll rest a while longer, you can leave be now."

"Till next time, please take better care of yourself," he said as he gave a bow as if he were an actor. Turning to her, he smiled as he walked back towards the direction of the school, thinking of all the ways he would torture those group of bullies.

"Ah... " Amelia uttered without a thought, nodding. As Sono left, her vision blurred, "Eh... ?" her eyes closed, it was beyond her to maintain her consciousness, as her body fell to the right, and flapped to the ground abruptly.

Turning to ask Amelia another question, he saw her fall over hard to the side. Sighing, he walked over to her and lifted her head from the dirt, "I'll just charge you more later," he said smirking. Connecting a small shadow to Amelia he forced her to stand. The hospital was pretty far, and he was no athelete. Luckily since she was out cold her non-resistant body was easier to control.

"So once again, the day is saved! Thanks to the Powerpu- ...Marvellous Mio!" With the problem at hand resolved, it was time for the super hero to make her speedy escape. Amahane Mio waved goodbye to the giant chick and attempted to dash away, casually forgetting about her broken leg which resulted in quite the magnificent trip. The trees almost seemed alive rustling their leaves in mock laughter, when really, it was just coincidental wind. No broken leg will ever stop me! Pulling herself up from the ground, the girl patted the dust away from her precious costume and stood tall and straight. After a brief pause to regain her composure, she huffed loudly then proceeded to slowly limp away from the clearing.

Despite the small unhero-like 'accident' just then, Mio was feeling quite satisfied by her performance today. In comparison to the past few days of 'recuperating' at the hospital where the only heroic deed she could perform was transporting glasses of life juice, in other words, water, saving a giant chick surrounded by evil plants was surely a feat worthy of only the greatest heroes! Confidence welled up in Mio as she remembered how the strange plants scattered in different directions at the presence of her courageous visage. It must be my heroic aura! She thought, completely oblivious to the fact that like the coincidental wind, she too simply arrived at a coincidental time.

The morning had been one full of ups and downs for Mio. While hiding in the woods to avoid the clerics, she came across a party of four wandering around as if it were their first time setting foot into the forest. Her damsels-in-distress radar told her that they would need help eventually and thus, she waited for the ultimate opportunity to jump in and save them from whatever danger awaited them. Although her cover was almost blown when she accidentally dragged her broken foot too close to a low bush, she was saved by the goddess of luck, or like say, one particular rabbit, as her classmate, Ing, neglected to check the tree she was hiding behind. Mio had heaved a sigh of relief, as her perfect plan was safe, however that sigh was stopped short as all of a sudden her targets began running away at full speed. A speed at which a limping Mio was unable to follow.

Mio sighed as she remembered the impact of learning how difficult it was to be a hero with a broken leg. She also remembered how her hopes were raised a second time and only to be crushed a second time too, when she limped after them again after her radar had beeped loudly at the sight of a new boy, running away from the chick with the party of four not too far behind, only to see that they had already left the chick by the time she caught up. Thankfully her efforts were not completely in vain, but Mio had learnt her lesson. She vowed to herself to never again get a broken leg as she dragged it back towards the hospital. Less heroic deeds will do for the rest of today...

The sun still had not reached it's peak when Mio got close to the outskirts of the forest. Leaning on one of the last few trees around to catch her breath, a pair of faint shadows not too far off in the distance caught her attention. Fatigue instantly vanished as Mio's interest was piqued. The rare sight of more students not in class during class time was simply too much for her curiosity to handle. Mio immediately set off to try and get a closer look at who these rebels were.

Isn't that... Class Rep..? Class rep and... oh it's Sono! ...

Perhaps help might be needed? Mio smiled and began her pursuit.

The bell chimed, signalling the end of the class, the students sighed and relaxed, finally able to put their focus from the text books away. Some continued to slack off or sleep behind the books regardless, lucky to find themselves unscathed from Miya's scary eyes. It was now recess, despite that Miya didn't leave the classroom yet, and beckoned Aoi, Sakura and Shouta with the fingers of her right hand to come to her. The three obliged. Standing in front of the teacher, Aoi curiously asked, "Yes, Sensei?"

"I wanted to tell you three, that the Alice classes of you three officially starts today, I wish you all luck. Try your hardest!" Miya wished, "Otherwise, Sensei won't be so happy!" she said, giving her signature smile of a demon, "As I'll be asking the teachers about the progresses. That is, in regards to Kiriya-kun and Fushiki-kun. Hiiragi-kun is in my class, so I'll be supervising her myself."

"Um, if I may ask, Sensei, what are Alice classes?" asked Sakura, confused.

"We have heard about it from Amelia-san... but haven't been there yet."

"Well - as you three may have been told - it's a class where you're taught how to use or control your Alice, an extracurricular class so to say. Please don't skip them unless permitted to do so, because you three are still new."

"We've heard that there are different Alice classes, though," Shouta said, silently as he hated exerting much of the volume of his voice when in a room full of people.

"Ah, right. They're divided based on Alice types. You may have been told by Amelia-kun, but the types are: Latent, Somatic, Technical, Special, and Dangerous Ability," she begun, "Latent type is for anything like superhero powers on fictional television shows, like the power to fly or telekinesis. Somatic type is related to physical contacts and bodily changes upon use, it can go both ways depending on the Alice... such as Human Pheromone Alice. Technical type are full of people who are good at inventing things. Special type has the rest of the people, who can't fall in the common categories due to having unique Alices. These are the three groups that most Alices usually falls under. Latent having the most people in this academy."

They're separated based on each and everyone's types... so I'm not gonna be with these two, and will have to deal with a new environment in the Alice Class, huh? Shouta thought to himself, not sure whether he can be happy about it or not.

"Ooh, I want be in Latent! Sounds wonderful, having superhero-like powers," Sakura asked, very excited after being exposed to this side of the Alice terminology.

"Umm, Sakura-san... "

"Eh?"

"You fall on Special Class!"

"W-Why there of all places?!"

"Mn? You don't like it?" Miya tilted her head in confusion.

"B-But... that sounds like the leftover people's club!"

"You know, it's my class... " Miya's eyes seemed to turn red, almost like that of a demon's, "Right?"

"I like it very much!" Sakura boldly announced despite not liking it after feeling Miya's intimidation, I just hope they're not full of bullies...

Miya smiled like usual again, "As for Kiriya-kun and Fushiki-kun, you two fall under the Somatic classes."

Sakura, about to congratulate Aoi and Shouta, and express her feeling of jealousy stopped before Miya's evil gaze would be shown, and just showed a forced smile.

Shouta smiled, glad to have around at least someone who seems to be sensible and a possibly good candidate to be a great friend.

Aoi thought something similar, although she was more excited about what kind of different Alices she'd get to witness later today.

"So with that, please attend those classes, everyone. They'll start after school. The classes themselves are in this very building, just ask your fellow classmates, and you'll be taken to your designated classes. I shall take my leave now."

Amelia's amber-colored eyes slowly opened. With a blurry vision, she tried to make out what she could see, it was a gray celing. Her body was tired for some reason, noticing her continuous panting. Did she had a fever? She considered. Trying to pull her body up to sit on the bed; she attempted to get up, but alas, failed as her head fell back to the pillow. It actually felt better to rest her head in the bed, she thought. Her head was really hurting, and it felt unbearably hot. She was too weak to move around, "... Where... am I?" Amelia asked, looking to the left, then to the right. She could barely make anything out due to her vision still not cleared up.

"The hospital, couldn't trust you to take care of yourself after all," said Sono who was sitting in the chair next to the bedside reading a book. He had nothing better to do at the moment, and the quiet hospital was the perfect place to read.

"Eh? Hospital... ?" Amelia questioned, looking back she should have been in the forest, "I supposed to rest on the tree! How did I got here?!" Amelia was supposed to raise her voice, but her throat didn't quite comply, perhaps she was still groggy from just gaining consciousness.

"I carried you in my arms like a princess." joked Sono flipping to the next page in his book. "You should have seen how people looked at us. Rumors will be all round school tomorrow."

"Wha... a-a-ah... that can't be!! M-My image as a class rep is in ruins now!" Amelia shouted out, as if the whole world has just shattered, and it was about to end.

Sono couldn't contain himself as he let out a laugh. "You walked here on "your" own two feet. Don't worry as I collect favors I will also keep your reputation in check," he replied assuring her. "But I have to admit that look was priceless."

"Ugh, don't tell me you made me walk like a zombie with your Alice!" Amelia exclaimed, embarrassed. Imagining it, she was at a loss of words.

"You complain, but it was better than my former method." he answered placing a bookmark in his book as he finished the current chapter. This was his second book today, and he needed to pace himself before he ran out. "How are you holding up?"

"I'd be fine if I was in the forest! It's better than being embarrassed!" Amelia announced, then looked at him reading a book, That's one way to skip class... she internally commented, "I feel sick, I can barely move around. Did the doctor say anything?"

"Just standard Alice overuse," answered Sono. "Nothing they haven't seen before. They of course advised you to stay until you have recovered fully, and to lay off your Alice in the meantime."

"Ugh, I wish I went back to the dorm instead."

"It's not all bad Amelia. You gave me a nice quiet place to read." he replied. "But you know they can't keep you here. If you want to leave you can anytime."

"Eh, is that so? I thought the hospital staff were always told to give Limited Alice users special treatment?" Amelia looked puzzled.

"I never stay for how long they tell me to. Guess some people actually listen when they are told certain things," he answered. "But if you don't want to its always your choice. Given that you have the strength."

"Haah," Amelia sighed, "I suppose I don't have a choice. I'll just rest up," she then looked to the other side, "A-Also... "

"Yes, what is it?" asked Sono.

It seemed as though Amelia only whispered silently, "T-Thank you... " her face was clearly tinted in light pink, but she was too embarrassed to show it. She never showed such a face to anyone before, and she had no intention of doing it in the future either.

Sono had trouble making out what she was saying. "What was that?" he said walking a bit closer. Upon doing so he saw that her face was flushed. "You might have a fever. Should I fetch a doctor?"

"I-I just said thank you is all!" Amelia exclaimed, the skin tone of her face turned as deep as a tomato from embarrassment, she immediately pulled the blanket her body was covered with, to cover her face.

Sono was a bit confused due to the way she was acting, but she seemed to be doing fine, "You're welcome. I have to make sure my clients are well looked after," he answered. "What kind of bodyguard would I be otherwise?"

Amelia smiled, face expression slowly returning to normal, "Heh, you don't quite fit as a bodyguard. You might just be better off as the academy's underdog."

"That's just fine with me. I don't care for the spotlight much." he replied laughing. "But I did pull you out of a bad spot. You need to choose where you rest a little better. These kids explore without any manner of common sense."

Amelia angrily pouted, "It's not like resting where fresh air is, is a bad idea!" she said weakly from the bed, "Well, I'll be fine with rest. So you can leave me be now."

Sono placed the book he finished earlier on the table near the bed."If you get bored give it a read its pretty good," he said before leaving her to rest waving with his back turned.

"As if I can get bored while sleeping... " Amelia muttered, her consciousness started to drift away to sleep.

Katsucha

The bell chimed again, signalling the end of all the school classes today. Students started to talk amongst each other, making the room noisy and loud again, but they started to leave as well. Sakura stood up, remembering Miya's words regarding the Alice class, wondering what kind of a class it is, she started to wander around the school; walking around the corridor.

"Now I'm totally lost... " Sakura said to herself, not knowing where to go from there.

"Umm, you, what are you doing here?" asked a girl with strawberry blond hair. Her red eyes made her seem slightly unique than most, and she was tall, somewhat more than even Sakura, "Ooh, you're one of my classmates, what's up?"

"Oh," Sakura turned around to look at the pretty looking tall girl, "Hello, I'm just looking for my Alice class, this campus is still new to me so I don't really know where it is," she said, hoping that this girl knows about it.

"Ooh, so you're having your first Alice class today, huh?" she said, then thought about it for a moment, and spoke again, "What type are you?"

"I believe it was Special Class"

"Ah, you're the new person of our class? Okay, just follow me," she said, apparently knowing the way.

"Thank you very much, I'm Hiiragi Sakura."

"Mhm, I'm Harada Misaki, from the same Alice class, hope to get along with you."

After about three minutes, Sakura stood before a door, above it was the sign that wrote in a large font 'Alice Class - Special Type' such fancy font and larger-than-usual signs were probably never used in the schools she attented before, so this was something she still had trouble getting used to.

"Here's the class you've been looking for, Hiiragi-san," Misaki said, opening the door, she entered without a second thought. Unlike her, though, Sakura slowly and shyly entered, not knowing what kind of people lied behind the door. What if they are bullies? she thought repeatedly.

As Sakura entered, she found all kinds of... weird people. All doing whatever-the-hell they want, or just lazing around, "This is the Special type Alice class, as you can see... we're small. However, each and every one of us are pretty lax and friendly!" she said.

"Aren't they a bit too lax Harada-san... ?" Sakura said with a bit of disappointment since she was not expecting this kind of scene.

"We the Special class are usually seen as useless, and mean rule-breakers, so... we just do whatever we want. We might seem like this, but we're a big family," Misaki said, proud of the class she resided in, "Although Miya sensei gets mad at us sometimes... "

Misaki then looked around, "Hey guys, we got ourselves a newbie here," thus, everyone had their attention as they came towards Sakura, "You must be one of the transfer students, nice to meet you, I'm Satoshi, from Class B," a boy said, "I can make diamond dust with my Alice!"

"Which is pretty useless!" Misaki added, laughing, "Haha, you don't have to say that out loud!" the boy said. "I can make it rain", "I can use my Alice to make people laugh," a strange-looking boy said, his body was large and plump; chubby.

"We have the most weirdest Alices here, albeit they're sorta useless. But you see, but we all get along just fine. Don't worry about being bullied here, we're too nice for all that!" Misaki said, "In case you're curious, I'll show you my Alice," she said. Instantly, another Misaki appeared from her body, "See? Pretty cool, right?"

Another Misaki appeared from the clone, "This is called the Doppleganger Alice, pretty neat, right?" about now, there were around nine Misakis surrounding Sakura. However, they all vanished as the real Misaki snapped her finger.

Sakura's eyes sparkled after witnessing Harada Misaki's Alice, "That was awesome! I wish I could do something like that."

"Hehe, praise me more, praise me mo-" Misaki thought for a moment, "Oh, that was a praise to my Alice, was it?" she came to a realization, sweating, "Annnyyyyywaaaaaaaaaaaay, this is a pretty nice, cozy and relaxing place. So ease up, till Miya sensei gets in here anyway!"

"Hey, I think you didn't introduce youself though, what's your name?"

"My name is Hiiragi Sakura, is a pleasure to meet you all."

Just as the others were about to respond, the door was suddenly opened. Seeing the faces of terror in front of her, Sakura hesitatingly looked behind her, it was Miya. Sitting in her black wheelchair, where was something very ominous about her, as she slowly rolled into the room.

"Misaki-kuuuuuun? You know what to do, right?"

"Riiiiiiiiiiight?"

"Uhm, w-what may you be talking about, Sensei?"

"... Right?" Misaki then witnessed the coldest expression Miya could deliver, it didn't even had a smile. All the students froze, feeling the horror, including Sakura.

Then Misaki made the greatest sacrifice as she sobbed, "I-I shall offer you my sweets... "

"Good, good~!" Miya said, smiling normally.

"Huh?" was Sakura's reaction for now, she was completely dumbfounded by what just happened, "What the heck was that all about!!!" Sakura screamed and pointed towards where Miya-senpai and Harada-san where at.

"Hm? Ah, Hiiragi-kun is here, huh? Welcome to my Alice class, Hiiragi-kun!" Miya welcomed her, opening her arms wide.

Misaki sighed, "You see, there isn't really much for Miya sensei to do here, so she only ever comes to either help students who can't control their Alices, or... have tea time with sweets and snacks, and laze around... "

Sakura stayed silent for a full minute not knowing how to respond to what she just suddently heard, but Miya didn't seemed to care, as she casually rolled over to the table beside the windows on the other side of the room, and started the 'tea time' with her students. Of course, they were terrified at first, but they all seemed to get along even with Miya, "You may join us, Hiiragi-kun, these are quite delicious, you know!"

"Can this really be consider a class?" Sakura said as she didn't know what to think about th situation anymore, "Harada-san is it really like this everytime...?"

"Ahaha... not quite every time, because Miya sensei doesn't come here everyday. And whenever she'd here, no one actually needs any form of training or anything since everyone has somewhat gotten a good grasp around their Alices. Since you're new, I think you'll be getting proper classes though... " Misaki then looked at Miya, "Sensei! You should listen instead of eating!"

"Ah, right right! More sweets please!"

"You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?"

"Hm? On purpose, what?" Miya then sighed, "Well, I do need to help Hiiragi-kun out, as she's still new to using her Alice."

"You're gonna teach me properly, right Miya-sensei? You're not gonna try to rush through it so you can have your free time again are you?"

"Yeah but, who gave you the right to talk to me like that?" Miya asked, Misaki immediately got off the seat and back away, feeling a dangerous aura, "H-Hiiragi-san, don't sound so arrogant just because she's lazing around, you're gonna get us all killed!"

"I-I just find it strange that this class is so lax! I'm not used to something like this"

"What do you want me to do?! Repeat myself for no reason when everyone already knows everything, and can perfectly use their Alices? This isn't like Technical Alice type class, or the Somatic, it's just a band of students who're not accepted elsewhere!"

"Sensei, please don't call us outcasts now," Misaki said, looking down and sulking with a blue face.

"Not like it's not true. Hiiragi-kun saw me taking classes at morning everyday, and thinks I can't do that here as well. That makes me think that she hasn't been paying attention at all!"

"W-Well, you got a point there, sensei. B-But, i-it's her first day on this class and all, you can always spare her once, right?"

Miya sighed, "Right, right. I won't cut and rip her skin to pieces and will let her off this time, but unfortunately, I have to go for a meeting. I never had the time to organize a class here, but came because I was missing all the delicious sweets here! So it's a self-studying phase for you guys... I know you'll all laze around anyway."

"I'm sorry, Hiiragi-kun, but my Alice class is slightly delayed because the principal likes to stack works over my head."

"O-Okay Miya-sensei, and I'm sorry for my reaction," Sakura said as she bowed.

Miya moved back with her wheelchair - apparently done with her sweets - then casually moved over to Sakura, who seemed to still be standing close to the door, and patted her head, and smiled, "It's okay, Hiiragi-kun, I did said that I'd let you off the hook today," her face suddenly seemed that of a monster's when Sakura looked up however, "Just this time, that is. Hahahaha~! I wonder how I'll punish you next time. Maybe I'll hang you up-side-down and perform an experiment. It'd be thrilling because I won't be able to properly do it while you're hanging like that... I might make a mistake and cut you up unintentionally!" Miya said, almost in her own world about now, her face was painted pink as she seemed to be imagining the scenario she was talking about. She seemed to be in ecstacy.

Her expression completely reverted to normal now as Miya rolled past Sakura, "Annnnnnnyyyyyyyyywaaaaaaaaaay, I'm off, don't get into trouble everyone, and take care!" the door was then shut tight.

"That surely was a storm that passed by us, huh?" someone commented, after around ten seconds after Miya left.

Sakura stood in place, unable to move. She became paralyzed in fear after hearing what Miya-sensei said.

"That's another victim," Misaki said, her ability to take in the horror was at it's limit, "H-Hiiragi-san, want to make some sweets, and snacks with us? W-We have tea... " Misaki offered with a forced smile, knowing well what Sakura was going through about now, with how frozen she seemed to be.

Sakura suddenly fell on her knees and tears could be seen coming from her eyes "H-how could she say something like that so casually. I-I just wanted to be sure I would learn properly"

"There, there," Misaki patted Sakura, "She won't do any of that if you just behave normally and keep a good level of respect. Usually Miya sensei would punish all of us for just lazing around, but she clearly let's us off often. You've already been in a few of her classes, so she felt sorta offended, right guys?" the others nodded and agreed, smiling at Sakura, "I don't think she'd do something like that for real, right?" at the back of her mind, however, she did felt that Miya would be able to do anything she says she'd do, but kept that thought to herself. She probably wasn't the only one who had the same thought.

"Really?" Sakura looked at Misaki with teary eyes as she wasn't sure herself what to really think of the situation, "I-I also do pay attention in her classes is just that this class seems so lax, I thought she just used it to relax intead of teaching."

"She does use it for relax, but that's because she has no one to teach anything usually, because this is a small class. Everything's gonna be fine, so just relax," Misaki said, a sweat going down at the back of her head. It may be the second time Sakura was told this.

Sakura sighed, so as to calm herself, she wiped her tears, and looked up, finding a hand offered in order for her to get up; it was Misaki's hand. Taking it with her own hand, she stood up, "F-For starters, I think I'll have some of those sweets since sensei left, then... " Sakura said, looking down in embarrassment. It was rather shameful for her to make a scene out of the laxness of the class, and she felt rather out of place for doing this.

BlinkXPoke Cards and Hugs abound

Meanwhile, Aoi walked over to Shouta's seat that lied on the other side across the classroom, "So... " she begun, standing beside Shouta, who was still sitting, she had no idea if she even managed to caught his attention, "Where do you think our Somatic type Alice class is? Although we're new, we probably have to ask around?"

Shouta glanced at Aoi when she called out to him. "I was thinking the same thing." He spoke quietly. He had used his Alice fairly often in recent memory. He didn't want to unintentionally unleash it again just from speaking too loudly. "But, who should we ask? The class rep already left, and I don't see Amelia-san around, anywhere."

"Hmm, maybe we should just look for it ourselves, or ask around? Others might know," Aoi suggested, still unsure if the two should go out and wander around a place still so foreign to them, but it sounded rather exciting, what if they came across something they shouldn't have? Aoi's explorer's spirit rose, but she wouldn't just wander off and take Shouta to a place where they shouldn't go to. Mutual agreement was required, but she had no intention to start exploration today of all days.

I probably should have looked around the inside of the middle school during that day I walked around the campus... We wouldn't need to go bother someone, otherwise... Shouta shook his head, somewhat disappointed in himself. "I'd like to see if we could just find it ourselves, it'd make it easier to remember where it is, but I'd also prefer not to be late. I think we..." Shouta hesitated for a moment, "...We should ask our classmates..." His voice trailed off after making that suggestion. He was still pretty angry with some of them for bullying Sakura the other day. He wasn't keen on asking their help for something.

"So we have to ask in the end, huh?" Aoi sounded slightly disappointed, she showed starry eyes when Shouta preferred the idea of finding the classroom itself, but then sighed as he stated the obvious and more appropriate action for the case. Oh well, too bad... she thought, "In that case, I wanna try something. Might as well," she said, walking over to the band of bullies who still seemed to be in the classroom. More specifically, a few benches forward, Shiraishi was not present amongst this group of students. Smiling, Aoi made a decision.

"Yo guys, wanna tell where that damned Somatic type Alice class is?" Aoi spoke, sounding like a delinquent, "I sorta forgot where it is, but now I got an errand for run for the teachers, it's bothersome, but I have to deal with it," the students didn't seemed troubled, but rather... "Huh? Shiraishi-san, didn't you just left awhile ago wanting to have some snacks?"

"A-Ah, you see, Miya s-spoke to me after I left class, and dumped the work on me," Aoi's expression almost fell apart from nervousness, but she maintained her Acting Alice regardless, the students gave directions anyway, Aoi then walked out of the class, and signalled Shouta with her fingers, to come with her.

"Wait, what..." Suddenly, he heard Shiraishi speaking with the bullies. Where did Aoi go? And what is that bitch doing here!? Shiraishi walked out of the classroom, signalling Shouta over as she did so. Is she challenging me...? He followed her out, preparing himself for... something... He didn't know what, yet.

The moment he stepped out, however, all that was waiting for him was Aoi. "W-w-what...? W-where did...? H-how'd you...?"

"Surprised? Shiraishi-san was never there, it was my Acting Alice all along, now that I got the directions for our Alice class, we can get to it," Aoi disclosed, happy that her Acting Alice actually helped her out, this was first time it had a very positive effect within the academy. Albeit, she did used her Alice in the past, unknowingly.

"Acting Alice, huh? Wow..." Shouta laughed nervously. He seriously believed Aoi was Shiraishi in that moment of time. He felt bad, he could have hurt her. What a frightening Alice...

"Mhm, I'm hoping to master this Alice, I've previously heard that this academy's school festivals often has theatre acts and shows performed, which I'm hoping to some day perform in," Aoi smiled, "This class may just be my ticket to it," Aoi then started to walk- no, dash, "Let's go!"

I'm not too sure about that... What if the audience thinks that what's happening on stage is actually happening? Wouldn't that cause a panic? Shouta didn't say this out loud, not wanting to upset Aoi. She seemed passionate about acting. She started to run towards the classroom as he was thinking. Shouta started to run, as well, calling out, "Hey, wait up!"

After a minute of running, the two stopped before a sliding door, the text above it implied that it was indeed the Somatic type Alice class that they were looking for. Panting, Aoi spoke up, "So... we... finally made it... " she leaned down, caught her knees with her hands, still panting. It's been a while since she ran with all her might.

Shouta was short of breath as well, needing a few deep breaths to recover. Aoi seemed much more out of breath, so he patted her shoulder and asked her "Are you okay? You should take it easy..." He looked up at the sign above the door to confirm that this was the correct classroom. So, this is where it is... okay. He made sure to sketch the direction from the other classroom to here so that he could find this place without assistance next time.

Aoi took a deep breath, "Yeah, I'm fine, let's go in." Opening the door, she found a classroom of students doing different things, although it was mostly a class where students were talking to each other, some sat on their seats waiting for a teacher. There were some people surrounded by others, most likely the effects of the Pheromone Alices.

"Hmmm..." Shouta scanned the room as he entered. It seems relatively normal so far... Nothing wacky like people floating or standing on the ceiling, like in the general class... He didn't know what to do, though. Should I take a seat anywhere, or should I be waiting for the teacher, or...?

A girl came walking towards the two, "You two the new transfer students known as the two latest Somatic types?" she asked. She wore the uniform like anyone else, but Aoi couldn't remember seeing her in class, but rather once saw her on P.E class yesterday, "AH!! You're... " Aoi pondered to try to remember, "The girl with Speed Alice?"

"Is it that hard for me to make impression, that you forget me so fast? Anyway, yes, I'm the one with Speed Alice," she helped Aoi to confirm. She was slightly shorter than Aoi, and had short brown hair, yet tied it up to a twin-tail. She raised her finger, "Miya sensei told me about you two, so I'm here to... well, help you out if you questions or anything."

"Then... uhh, what are we supposed to do here?" Aoi asked, confused.

"Where's the teacher? Isn't someone supposed to supervise us?"

"Right, I heard that a teacher supervises the students of the class, I don't think I see anyone though... "

"That's because Narumi sensei is late, again. Don't worry though, he plans to give you two some kind of an extracurricular class today."

"Extracurricular class? What do you mean by that?"

"That's just what the teachers call these Alice classes, even though it should be the main point of this academy... Well anyway, you're basically going to get a class and will be taught about Alices. For now you two should take a seat and wait."

"Uh... okay. Thanks." Shouta bowed to the female student, then found a seat near the back of the room, where he prefers to be. Why don't any of the teachers here ever arrive on time...? Shouta stared at the door to the classroom as he pondered this peculiar fact.

Narumi entered the room, and scanned it with his eyes casually as he made his way to the table in front of the green board attached on the wall, "So I heard that we have two new cute transfer students, may I know who they are~?" he asked. Narumi had blond hair, and was tall. He wore strange out-of-place brown coat and hat, and even wore earrings and a ring in his ring finger. Possibly Alice restraining devices, new students wouldn't know, though.

The girl who possessed the Speed Alice pointed towards two students who sat at the same bench, Narumi nodded, smiling.

Aoi looked with starry eyes; it was something new, seeing such a teacher was a first to her, after witnessing Miya. She swore that she hadn't seen this teacher before in her class, "I'm Kiriya Aoi!"

Shouta, on the other hand, was repulsed by the appearance of the teacher. He was quite strange looking to him. Nevertheless, he acknowledged the teacher by giving his name, "Shouta Fushiki..." He still spoke in a small voice.

"Umm, I can't hear you, a bit louder please!" Narumi said, prodding Shouta to slightly raise his voice.

"Shouta Fushiki!" He exerted his voice more, loud enough for the class to here. He continued to restrain himself, as he didn't know at what point his Alice activates. He didn't want to harm the people around him just for talking too loudly.

Aoi wondered whether Shouta was shy or restraining for the bizarre Alice, but it felt more like the former. Regardless, she didn't pry about it longer.

"Alright. Welcome to my class, you two!" Narumi noted, then continued, "Well then, since you two are new, I'll be explaining things about what an Alice is today."

"Umm, sensei, before that... Are you a teacher who specifically teaches in this class? I'm not sure if I've seen you teaching in any of the classes I've attended so far... " curious and confused, Aoi asked.

"Hmm, I wouldn't say that."

"Eh?"

"Indeed, I am the supervisor of this class, as I have a Somatic type Alice. However, I'm originally a teacher from the Elementary School Branch, which is why I don't teach in your morning classes," explaining, Narumi then shifted his tone to a more formal one.

"Now, how much do you two know regarding what an Alice is, may I know?"

Shouta took a moment to recall Amelia's explanation of Alices, then recited the things he remembered. "They are unique powers everyone at this school possess. We were all sent to this school to help control these powers, and keep them out of the wrong hands..." He looked at the ceiling, thinking, making sure he wasn't forgetting anything. "And, uh..." He was drawing a blank.

"Hmm... I think the rest we were told is that everyone's Alices are unique even in their properties despite them being 'Alices'. Alices are divided into five types and they have their own individual classes where we train or learn to use them, I believe."

"Correct. There are five types of Alices, and each and every Alices are unique in their own way. Did you know that two Alices possessing the Instant Teleportation Alice will still have some differences in their power?"

"... Umm, how so?" Aoi pondered, "They both 'teleport' instantly, yes?"

"Mhm! But the range may differ, and their life-span may also differ, too."

"...Life-span?" Aoi felt puzzled and confused. Alices have their own life? She could only wait till Narumi explains it himself.

"So, we'll eventually lose our powers...? Is that what he means...?" Shouta mumbled. He wasn't sure what was meant by an Alice's lifespan.

"There are four 'shapes' or 'forms' of Alices, which dictates how long your Alice will exist," Narumi begun to explain, drawing the simple figure of a person on the board with a chalk, "First, we have the Childhood form. This means that those with this form will only have their Alice in their childhood. As they grow up and mature, they'll lose their Alice."

"Childhood... we still have our Alices. Does this mean that we're not of this form?"

"Most likely, yes. There is no way to find out your form until you see the proof."

"Proof? Would our Alice weaken quickly over time with this form, then?"

"Nope. It'll simply disappear with use. I've heard that the Alices with this form usually gains a premonition of their Alice about to leave them, in fact."

"So wait, what happens to those who loses their Alice?"

"If a student of this academy loses his Alice in any way. According to the rules, they'll be kicked out."

I'm sooooo glad that I don't have that form, then.

So, that's one way to get out of here... Though, that's a pretty depressing way to go.

"Anyway, moving on, next we have the 'Diffuse' form of Alice," Narumi continued with his lesson, drawing another figure, this was encircled with a circle, "As you can see, these are the Alices who have quite a lot of power and potential in them. However, they can only exert small and minimum bit from their reserve of power at a time. They're also unable to use it very frequently."

This actually sounds like what I should have, I think... Many aspects of this type seemed to match Shouta's Alice.

"I'm assuming this is the common form in this academy?"

"Precisely. Or else we'd lose students very very soon at a rapid rate!"

"How likely is it for someone to lose their power with the Diffuse form?"

"Very unlikely till they reach adulthood, based on the available statistics from our research."

"Is that so..." Shouta was a little disappointed. This meant the possibility of losing his Alice to be reunited with his family wasn't there. However, it did mean that he'd be able to use his Alice for a long while. It was an interesting power he possessed. Maybe his brother would think it was cool, too.

"Hmmm... so far, it seems like I fall into the Diffuse category, since I can't freely use my Acting Alice."

"Is it possible to unleash all of that potential power, though? It's strange to me that we seem to limit ourselves, by only being able to use small amounts at a time." Shouta inquired, pointing at the picture on the board.

"I think that's impossible for us... I don't know why, but I feel like it's just not impossible... " Aoi commented, considering the possibility.

"Hm, there definitely haven't been any such form that allowed one to unleash all the power at once. Maybe if one gains perfect control? I still doubt it. There is the possibility that your body may not be able to handle it. Assuming it can, you'll still lose a good portion of your life-time... well, there is that possibility anyway. There has been an unconfirmed theory going around for the past few years that having an 'Alice' itself can prolong your life, especially when your body is in a very bad condition."

"Alice can... prolong life?!"

"That's interesting..."

"That aside. The third form known to everyone is known as... " Narumi drew another figure on the board with his chalk, this one had big dot, centered around the middle of the figure, "It's known as the Intermittent form."

"An... intermittent form?"

"Yes, this form basically means that the Alice is quite powerful whenever used, but it runs out quite quickly, so the user has to be careful if they realize that their form is Intermittent. However, there has been a few cases where the users are unable to control their Alice, thus at first whenever their Alice were used; the effects were very small and minimal."

"It's like the opposite of the Diffuse form..." Shouta made mental notes to each Alice forms' perks and drawbacks. He would write them on a notepad of some sort, but he forgot to bring one.

Aoi raised her hand, "Then, would it also run out fast like the Childhood form, as well?"

"If overused by the user, possibly. Every Alice users have a certain amount of 'power' in them, it's quite like our own life-force, I believe," he then continued, "Lastly, we have the Limited form," Narumi drew another figure - apparently the last - on the board with the chalk, this figure was encircled, and also had a big dot around it's center. However, the figure seemed to have bent it's back... ?

"Is the figure... drawn in a strange manner or is it me?" Aoi asked no one in particular, not exactly asking the teacher.

Shouta winced at the sight of the image. It looked like it had a broken spine. This one can't be pleasant...

"Actually, it's intentional," the girl with Speed Alice answered, Aoi had no idea how she heard her voice despite the distance.

"Yes, it is indeed intentional, unfortunately. This is the Limited form, and well, Alices with this form has unlimited potential, and incredible power."

"E-Eh?!" Aoi was puzzled, "Then why is it known as Limited, sensei?!" she pondered about what it meant, and the naming didn't quite made sense to her.

"There's definitely a catch..." Shouta assumed. He had a good guess as to what it could be, judging from the image.

"Well, the user has immense power, but there is a catch. Whenever the Alice uses their Alice, their health gets worse. Suffice it to say, whenever they're used, there is a trade for power in exchange for health."

"I thought so... Sounds like a terrible fate, though..." Shouta cringed at the thought. I'm just glad I don't have this type... I would've destroyed myself ages ago...

"Power in exchange of... health?"

"Yes, after a certain age, the users of the Limited form starts to suffer after using their Alice. One can only realize that they have the Limited form whenever such effects starts to take place," Narumi then sighed, and brought out his smile once again, "And that's it! These are the basic knowledge regarding Alice. I think both of you have learned valuable information today. and that's good enough for now. We'll need you both to know how to use your Alices, so starting tomorrow, I'll be helping you two out however I can. So if you're more curious about the power you were born with, please don't skip class~!!"

"Thank you very much for the lessons, sensei!" Aoi said, happy with all the information, but something was bugging her at the back of her head, "I was curious, what is Ichigo's Alice form?"

"Well, Hoshimiya Ichigo-chan, the idol, yes?" Narumi asked, as if to confirm.

"Yes!" Aoi confirmed.

"Hmm... a tough one. Hoshimiya Ichigo-chan's Alice has been a mystery for a while now. Much of her details are classified information in this academy, even. Some says that she has two or three Alices. Some says her form is the Limited type, and some says that she has the Intermittent type as well... most of these rumors originates from the Middle School branch, in fact," Narumi continued as he rubbed the board of the figures, "It has been established that she is a Special type, however. No one knows if she has any more Alice than her Vocal Enchantment, though."

Ing sighed after he heard the school bell rang, Finally, I can rest in the Alice class. After today's events, some tinkering should help me calm myself down, Ing thought as he picked up his tool box from inside his desk, and walked to the workshop, No catterpillar for today, he sighed again, continuing to walk.

Ing soon stopped in front of the Technical type Alice classroom, and opened the door. He took a deep breath like he did yesterday, and walked to the corner where another door lief; it led to his personal work-station, Now then, I wonder if she's in class today? He thought as he looked at the finished gloves that lied on the table of the room. Maya's requested special gloves that could even generate electricity from the finger-tips; made to help her fingers from being hurt while she'd play the piano... or so she said, but Ing couldn't believe the reasoning, as one can get used to playing the piano easily.

Just as Ing was thinking about this - he felt that there was no need for him to care - he'd get payed for this regardless, someone knocked the door, his suspicions rose; it may just be his mysterious customer. He opened the door without a thought. The customer was indeed the mysterious Maya, who looked at Ing with heavy expectations.

"Was the requested item prepared?" Maya asked, very excited, yet she tried to hide the embarrassing excitement that she felt.

"Ah yes, it's finished, but I need you to test it first." Ing said as he pulled her hand gently to his desk.

"Ooh, I was wondering if I'd get to test it, sounds like fun!" Maya exclaimed, wanting to wear the pair of gloves she could see laid on the table, they were most likely the thing she requested for.

Ing stopped right in front of his work desk and said, "Now let's get it started. Just wait right here while I put the gloves on your hands." He took the gloves and gently put it on her hands.

"Nice, it looks fashionable as I have requested."

"Now to test it. First you raise your hand like this," Ing raised his hand straight up and he continued, "Then make your hands as if it was holding a knob, turn your hand to the right to raise the electricity output, and turn your hand to the left to lower it. If you raised it high enough, you can give it a little range and if you turn your hands in to this gesture," Ing put his hands in to a pointing gesture. "You can shock your enemies if they're within range. Do you get it?" Ing asked as he lowered his hand down.

"Ooh, interesting!" Maya exclaimed; fascinated. Noting the instructions while feeling very excited, "Hmm... how long is the range for shocking my targets, exactly?"

"I have no idea. That's why I need you to test it. Try to hit that large mechanical hand over there." Ing pointed at his large mechanical hand on the corner of the room. It was roughly 15 meters from where Maya was standing.

"That seems... far, it looks sorta cool though," Maya calmly commented. Maya raised her hand straight, then changed it to a form as if trying to open a door knob. She turned her hand to the right, as instructed, and turned it as much as she could to the right. The silver finger-tips glowed, sparks sparks were visible, include sounds of static electricity.

"Perfect, that's the reaction that I want, now let it out on that large hand!" Ing said with a serious look, to see if the hand can withstand the hit and if the shot hits the hand.

Maya, feeling the vibration from the pulsing electricity, could barely hear Ing's words, but she remembered the next step to using her ranged electricity move. Extending her index finger, the electricity shot forth, and it directly bashed against the large hand that lied in the table in front of her.

"Oh yes! That's enough to stun a group of men at the same time!" Ing grinned. I did not expect that much power in it but this is great, now then. He nodded to himself and asked to Maya, "Now one last test, could you play a song on your piano?

"That's great! I didn't think it'd be this good," Maya expressed her honest opinion, looking at the large hand which was darkened from the burning shock it received, "Oh the piano? Sure."

"Great!" Ing said happily, he continued "Oh and if you want to turn of the electricity, you can just say Elect Off, and to turn it back on, say Elect On."

"Let's say I said 'Elect Off', would doing the 'turning knob to the right' gesture still work?"

"I don't think so, since the gestures follows the flowing electricity on the gloves, since you said 'Elect Off', the electricity flow on the gloves will also stop, doing any gestures would not have any effect," Ing said as he took a pen and a batch of papers on his desk, ready to write the results of the text.

"Alright, understood," Maya said, noting the information. She then walked, "I shall play the piano for your next test for these pair of gloves," she announced, taking a leave from Ing's workshop and making way to her beloved piano. It's jet black appearance reminded her of herself. It made her feel like a fabulous person who'd shine just like the piano if light reflected upon it.

A fluid flow of music with rhythmical pattern played out. It was almost breathtaking, intense, yet it felt good to listen to. It was the piece known as Frederic Chopin Scherzo, No. 2 Op. 31. Maya played it near-flawlessly. It'd perfectly performed if she was used to her new pair of gloves.

After around ten minutes, the music came to a stop, the performance was grand and definitely entertaining. It's been awhile since she put so much effort into playing a piano piece. It was a form of thanks for Ing, albeit Maya had no clue if he listened or not, her feeling was gratitude was greatly expressed via the feelings she put into her piano play.

Ing went silent. He was amazed at how she played it in perfect harmony. The papers that were on his hands fell down. He was stunned.T-This is amazing, I can't think up any words on how she performed. It's just so good, I might- He slapped himself to make him think straight. He picked the papers back up and asked Maya, "H-How did it felt?"

"Felt great, and my fingers feels much more comfortable now. I just need to get more used to these gloves, and my performances will be perfect. It felt imperfect because I'm still not used to these things yet," Maya explained as she answered Ing, she seemed relatively content, Maya then stood up and walked over to Ing who seemed to be holding a batch of papers, she had no idea what they had written, but she felt rather disinterested to even ask.

Maya extended her right hand towards Ing, as her fingers slowly opened, there were two notes on her hand. It was money, more specifically, 200 Rabbits worth of notes; the payment, "There, it's the payment we agreed upon initially, for the wonderful job done," Maya said, giving a bow, "Thank you."

Ing took one note and said, "Keep the other half, your performance was so good that hearing it is enough for me." He put the money in to his pocket and give her a thumbs up. "You know, maybe I'll listen to you each time that you perform. It's kind of making me. ." He paused for a minute and continued with a soft tone, "Warm inside." He said as he looked down, embarrased.

"A-Anyway, I'm going to go back to work. I-I-I'll see you some other time." He bowed down and went back to his work desk.

Maya was utterly confused, she heard up to 'making me... ' and missed the next phrase he whispered out of his lips. Before she could ask, Ing sped off, Maya raised her voice, "If you feel like listening to my piano play, you just have to ask!!" Maya conveyed the message, hoping that he heard it, Mnm... did something happened? Why not a boy - one that is sane - ever refuse to take this much money? to think Ing would stutter, he must have been in a hurry for something. She shrugged, sighed and smiled, Guess I somewhat owe him now, though.

Amelia's amber gold eyes opened lazily as she regained her senses that she lost to sleep; waking up slowly. Her vision was blurry for a few moments, before the hospital room came into proper view. Via reminiscence, she remembered what truly happened in the Eastern Woods this morning. Piyo sure was a handful, turned out it was there of all places, roaming around for food, despite the fact that it's nest lies all the way to the northern forest. A mutated giant chick that has tiny wings, it cries mostly only when hungry, and is usually fed by the middle school students, who are from the technical type class. Perhaps it showed up on the Eastern Woods in search of them? Regardless, it led to a lot of trouble for her.

She heard some noises, mostly of nurses. Curious, she tried to get up to go and take a peek outside. However, her body was in such a state that it wouldn't budge. Amelia sighed, allowing her head to sink back into the warm and comfy pillow. She looked around; analyzing her environment, and saw a flower vase that had a flower at the corner of the room. A corner of her lips rose to form a light smirk, "Shouldn't be a problem if I use it just once now, right?" she mumbled to herself before using both her Alices together simultaneously.

The Plant Manipulation Alice is one that can control plants, and may also inflict plants with a mutation effect that changes a plant drastically as they grow. While on the other hand, the Plant Growth Alice rapidly increases the rate of said growth. When combined, Amelia is able to create strange and harmful plants in mere seconds. A frightening Alice. It's what warranted her entry into the Dangerous Ability class, after a certain incident.

The white flower turned into a walking flower as it's green root split to make it's legs, it's other two small and sharp leaves being it's hands. At the center of the flower was a mouth that was hard to notice. It lightly screeched out, the voice not being so loud due to it's small form; opening it's mouth, there were ghastly fangs that totally removed it's former beauty. Amelia wondered, Who'd put flowers in -my- room anyway? Perhaps it's one of my fans! They must finally be understanding my greatness! pleased with the conclusion she reached after having a moment of thought, she manipulated the flower, and it escape the room. Amelia had the ability to manipulate plants up to the maximum extent. So much, that she can even see what her mutated and monstrous plants are seeing and hearing. The flower did adopt an ability to hear, as per the modifications made by Amelia specifically, but none knows where it's actual ears are.

It seemed that the commotion had calmed down? Amelia regretted for not using her Alice on the flower much earlier to take a look around outside the room. She still attempted to find out what happened, making the flower eavesdrop on others.

"I-Isn't there anything we can't do?!"

"It's impossible. She has to rest."

"But her live concert... "

"It has to be canceled... "

"I was looking forward to her performance so much! I even got myself a ticket at last!"

"Well, there is nothing we can do about it. This is first time Hoshimiya-san has been in such a state."

"B-But... "

"She probably gonna feel worse than you about this. Have some decency, and let her rest. I'll tell the staff regarding Hoshimiya-san's condition. As a doctor, I can't let her perform on stage in this condition."

Amelia could then hearing stern stomping sounds of footsteps echoing throughout the corridors. There was another set of sounds of walking, it sounded rather weak, most likely the other person. She seemed to be a nurse. Having her ghastly flower enter the room before which the two were arguing, Amelia came across Hoshimiya Ichigo - the idol's room. Ichigo's face seemed peaceful, but her panting didn't made Amelia think the same.

She'd play a prank out of jealousy towards Ichigo, but considering her own state, she could sympathize with her, and decided that it's better if she's left alone - making the flower walk back into it's owner's room, even making it go back into the vase just to make it as though it was never mutated in the first place. Amelia's eyes no longer had the weight of drowsiness. Slightly regretting the action of not going back to sleep earlier, Amelia felt bored, with nothing to do in this bland room. She peered across to her right, and found a book placed in a seat.

"Oh right... he left that here for me to read," Amelia said in realization, stretching her arm to reach it. After a few of moments of trying to grab the book, she finally reached it. Slowly gathering her energy, she pulled the upper portion of her body up to sit on the bed, and opened the book.

Packing up her stuff, Ine left the classroom to head towards her own Alice class. Ine found Alice class incredibly boring as she had no real way of controlling her Alice, however it was always fun watching the others use their Alices. Latent was a big class, so she was sure that she would see some new interesting Alices today, maybe she'd even get a chance to talk to some of her friends.

As she entered the classroom she could see that people had already begun to practice using their Alices, she could see one girl moving several rocks with what Ine asumed was a telekinesis Alice and a boy from her own class, Kokoro-Yomi who was famed for reading minds to play pranks.

Ine was sure he was reading her mind as we speak, which he did, "It's fun to play pranks by reading what's in one's heart, yes," he said, smiling like usual. She felt rather uncomfortable and wished that he couldn't, because it was embarrassing.

"Ehh?" Kokoro-Yomi tilted his head in confusion, "I can't read your mind anymore... did you make a wish?"

"Huh?" Ine said, bewildered "Yeah, I guess I did" she said in realization. I should have wished for something to eat she thought as she felt her stomach rumble.

Hoping to replicate her rare successful wish, she began to wish earnestly for a snack while sitting at her desk.

"Woah, to think you managed to use your Alice, for such a petty wish," another boy who stood beside Kokoro-Yomi commented, "I bet she's praying for food now."[/color]

"Yeah, probably," they both then burst out laughing as Ine seemed to be focusing hard on her wish to gain snacks.

Ignoring the two laughing beside her, who had hit the nail on the head, Ine kept wishing hard for an ice cream the likes on which she had never seen before. The more she wished, the hungrier she became the larger the ice cream she wished for became.

"Guess we're right after all," the student beside Kokoro-Yomi said, they laughed again, but feeling an ominous presence behind them, they turned around. It was the teacher who supervised the Latent type Alice class, Yamada Serina, who looked down at the two, "Instead of being happy for your classmate who managed to use her uncontrollable Alice, you're berating her?"

Kokoro-Yomi and his friend was caught red-handed, and were lectured. Serina then gave a light smile at Ine, "It must be nice, to be able to use your Alice, I hope you find a way to control it. Unfortunately, all the ways I tried to trigger your Alice failed most of the time. Perhaps I should try one more time... "

"Eh? Sensei you're going to help me again?" Said Ine confused as she was sure all the teachers in this school had pretty much given up hope with her.

"Mhm, I'm going to show you an amazingly rare and delicious ice cream, but won't let you have it," Serina said, "So you have to pray hard to make your desire to have it a reality. Wanna try?"the teacher offered.

"Hrmmmmm... that sounds hard sensei" Said Ine with a complex look on her face "But if it will help me control my Alice, let's do it" Said Ine nodding her head.

"Hmm, it's not so hard if you look at the bright side," Serina pondered, then spoke up, "Like, if you can learn to control your Alice properly, you'll be able to eat any time, right? So you have to bear with your urges for once. Let's hope that you pull through this!"

Sono's walk through the hospital was full of strange looks from nurses and patients alike. He was a spooky looking kid, but for the most part he didn't think he looked out of place. Pushing their glances out of his mind he focused instead on where Shirashi and her posse would be at this time. They were never hard to find if you looked or lsitened hard enough. They were a loud and obnoxious sort. After leaving the hospital the walk to the school was short.

School just got out so if anywhere he would probably find them prowling the hallways for new victims. As he walked down the hallway full of students, his intentions showed on his face in the form of a sick smile. Most people knew to stay away from him when was in these kinds of moods. Walking to the class room to see if anyone was there he poked his head in. No one was there, "Drat I'll have to hunt elsewhere," he said aloud. No one was around to hear him however. But he knew he remembered they often hung out in Central Town. He would catch them in route.

Walking off in a brisk pace he began to become very anxious. Like a dog that had been deprived of meat when he had a taste for blood. Without missions Sono was left with no outlet for his more violent desires. This was almost more a favor to him than Amelia.

Heading in the direction of Central Town from the Middle school he caught a glimpse of the group, his smile returning. His tracking skills were second to none when it came to finding a target. Speeding up his pace, however with is frail body even the leisurely pace they were walking was too fast for him. Raising his hand he attempted to extend his Alice to at least one boy. Controlling the boy, he made him reach forward grabbing two of his friends by the collar and throwing them back. This distraction would have to give Sono the time he needed to catch up, and connect with the group.

Sadly he couldn't get close enough for the group, but the bullies he had thrown back were now in range. Raising both hands he fired off shadows to add the two that were flung back to his puppet repertoire. Grabbing those two he smirked as he watched the other two came back towards him.

"What is wrong with you?" said one of the two boys. The boy of course was sealed from talking, and couldn't respond to his friends. "You want to fight or something?" asked the other boy. Still Sono's puppet said nothing. As the two remaining boys got closer in Sono sprung his trap. With a sudden jerky movement his puppet punched one of the two boys in the abdomen. The boy bent over gasping for breath.

"Hey you!" said the other boy punching Sono's puppet. As he did that Sono's other two puppets moved in. One puppet moved behind the boy and restrained him by holding his arms. The other puppet began punching the restrained boy. Sono's first puppet looked down at the boy he punched, as a forced smile crept across his face. Freaked out the boy fell backwards his hand raised begging for mercy, but Sono would have none of that. Smacking the raised hands out of the way the puppet pinned him down and began punching him in the face.

The two boy getting beat didn't last long, and passed out moments later. Releasing one of his puppet he had the other two restrain and beat him up as well. Then he had the last two beat each other unconscious. "Now lets see about that Ringmaster of yours shall we?" said Sono as he stepped over the group of beaten and bruised bullies. His main prey was waiting for him in Central time. He would make sure to take his time and savor her.

Getting to Central Town took a bit of time for Sono. "I really need to work out..." said Sono taking a seat and resting his tired legs. Shirashi was usually buying snacks at one of the many shops in Central Town. She would eat with her little minions and talk nasty things about the other students. Searching over the town it took him a bit of time to find his mark, but he knew that it would be worth it once he found her. He saw Sirashi walking down the sidewalk snack in hand before turning into an alley way opening them up and eating. Sono needed to work fast, but as the sun began to set he knew his time was limited.

Walking into a store he looked for something that he could use as a light source. He didn't have much time. Taking a lighter from the box near the register he paid for it, and hurried out of the store. Heading back to the alley he was happy to see Sirashi still there. With all the preparations he made he was anxious to start. Flipping the lighter open he flicked the flame on and moved his hand over the flame, and began manipulatiing his shadows.

Connecting to Shiraishi with his shadows, he raised his hand and forced her to run to a pile of trash. She dropped her snacks and flopped around in the trash where she belonged. "Doesn't feel so good being on the other side does it?" said Sono chuckling.

Sono could hear Shiraishi mumbling something from the trash, but her mouth was blocked so she couldn't speak properly. However, she did tried to use her Alice, which resulted in random objects to fly around randomly, as if a poltergeist incident was occuring.

As long as his target couldn't see him, he had a little breathing room, but he still needed to watch out. Making her stand up he forcedher to move across the alley to the other side, and into another pile of debris. Moving his finger delicately he attempted to form a shadow minion like in the forest.

His mind was clear and focused, and he was able to create two of his minions with relative ease. Slinking from the ground they tore off their victim's ears with rabid growls. Letting his victim have a little control of her body he made it feel like she could run before stopping her in her tracks. The shadows leapt into the air and landed on her, shrieking in her ear as they pinned her down. Sono walked closer slowly as she was pinned down. He licked his lips in excitement. "How should I do this? I wanted to savor you, but this was just too easy." he said. "Your friends were just as easy too..." Releasing her mouth he wanted to hear what she had to say.

"M-My friends?! What did you do to them?!!" Shiraishi cried out, albeit not having enough energy to yell loudly, her hate and anger was well expressed through her voice alone. In fury, Shiraishi mustered enough strength to make a solid object from the trash fly towards Sono's face directly.

Raising his hand he tried to stop the object in mid air before it made contact. The object flew fast and straight for his face, but he was able to stop it before it connected. It was a glass bottle of something, but the label was gone so Sono didn't know what. The smell of garbage filled his senses. Moving around the object he looked at the girl angrily. "Nice try," he said clapping slightly. "I showed them all their own potential is all," he answered. "But why don't we make a deal? This doesn't have to a terrible day for you...Well anymore than it is now."

Shiraishi took a step forward, resisting the shadow restraints that kept her movements bound. She angrily replied, "You hurt my friends, and then you try to make a deal? To hell with you!"

"Have it your own way." he answered, Sealing her words again he moved his hands as his shadows restrained her tighter than before. They kept going tighter, and tighter until he was sure even breathing was painful. "Such a waste, goodbye Shirashi..." he bluffed as he raised his hand.

Much to his excitement, however, he felt something solid hit his back. It was a brick. His body being frail, he fell to his knees from the sudden pain, which broke his concentration. Freed, Shiraishi too, fell to the floor. It was her last resort, using her Alice to lift something solid, the concentration required was getting harder and harder due to the shadows binding her tighter and tighter. Of course, with her energy drained out now, she passed out.

Grinding his teeth he stood up slowly. "Disapointing," he said as he closed his lighter. His fun was over now that she was out cold. Taking a step he felt the pain from the brick. Really need to work out... he thought. Looking to Shirashi he decided to leave her there. Her 'friends' would no doubt come to collect her sooner or later. If not she would have one hell of a morning. He started back towards his dorm, but it would take a while before he would be able to enjoy his bed.

"Hmm, I wonder where Ichigo has been lately... " Aoi thought out loud, walking to the premises of the Middle School. It was thirty minutes past seven 'o' clock; it was the morning of the 13th day of April now. Aoi's head was full of thoughts about what her teacher - Narumi said about Ichigo yesterday before she took her leave from her first extracurricular Alice class. Alice Academy is full of mysteries and wonder, but Ichigo seemed far more mysterious. Are all Special Star ranked students like this? Aoi pondered, but her severe lack of information and knowledge kept her bound for solving the puzzle in her mind; too many pieces were missing.

"I wonder about that too," a certain someone with a face full of glee played along.

I didn't see her yesterday either. I wonder if she's out for some live concert or something."

"Mn, I wonder, I wonder!"

"EHH?!!" Aoi yelped from the sudden surprise - almost stepping back - looking at the familiar face that walked along with her beside her all along - it was Ichigo. For Aoi to not recognize from her voice alone, she felt her pride as the 'first fan of Ichigo' crumbling inside her, disappointed that her mind was clouded up to that extent, Aoi apologized as she resumed walked with Ichigo, "Sorry! I didn't realize you were there, Ichigo."

"It's okay!" Ichigo nodded, forgiving her without a thought. She found it funny that her friend hadn't noticed her and conversed with her, without realizing it was her that Aoi was talking about. It made her happy that Aoi was worrying about her, but she also felt sorry for making her feel that way, "Sorry if I made you worry, Aoi. I was out yesterday, but I'm here today!"

"It's okay, I understand that you have a fair share of stuff you do around this academy, that said... "

"Hm, what is it?" Ichigo asked, giving her usual radiant smile.

"Is it true that you're in the Dangerous Ability class?"

"Mn!" Ichigo nodded.

Aoi stopped and faced Ichigo, "Why's that? Your Alice doesn't seem dangerous at all! In fact, you fixed the situation that took place on my first day at school here in recess!"

"Um, I'm sorry, but I can't tell you why," Ichigo said, looking down.

"Then, what do they make you do in that class? I have heard it's activities are far more different last night from Clara, but even she doesn't know what they are... "

"I'm sorry, Aoi. I'm not allowed to discuss about it," Ichigo's expression turned sad, but Aoi frowned, "I... didn't think you'd hide things from me - your best friend - Ichigo."

"A-Aoi?!" Ichigo raised her hand instinctively towards her friend to calm her.

"Sorry, but please leave me alone for now!" Aoi said, running off towards the school building. Ichigo looked as Aoi sped away from her, her hand tried to reach Aoi's hand to stop her, but she couldn't, [i]This world is very unfair and cold, Aoi. You don't have to know about all those painful things. I hope you understand that, someday.[/b]

Ichigo shoved aside her depressing emotions, despite the eyes of other students that bore witness to the scene. They didn't know what the two spoke about. They'd regardless talk about this scene for the times to come. Middle School students were famous gossipers, after all. Ichigo however didn't seemed to care, and simply moved on from the scene.
