You're using the word 'here' how you should be using 'hear.' Use 'here' when talking about location (i.e. "GET OVER HERE!" or "Rachel will be here any moment if we don't get the hell away and retreat to wherever Crazy Claire ran off to.") Use 'hear' when talking about sound (i.e. "I could hear her coming closer" or "Rachel was trying to reason with me, but all I could hear was her crazy talk.")

Haha, my bad. I'm so caught up on searching for other grammatical spelling errors I forget the simple stuff. I also use to, too, and two without much care as well. I apologize. I read it out loud before posting it so that I know what's spelled wrong, but those words are pronounced the same and it kinda just goes over my head. Thanks for pointing it out, Xenon. English is my first language and me making mistakes is a little embarrassing.

We often take it for granted when it's our first language. Sometimes people making it their second surpass us. I had to explain it to you as if it was your second, though, because you never know where your fellow user is from here.

I completely understand! I mean we Americans make up new words all the time like "hella" and use so many out of context such as "literally" and "epic." Anyway, I will definitely pay more attention. But feel free to nitpick anything else grammatically incorrect. The more I edit the better I become! Or at least that's what I believe. I should also have an update soon once I finish my schoolwork for the week.

Rachel grabs your shoulder as you lean against the wall. "It's okay..." you hear her whisper in your ear, her breath on your neck. You hear her exhale as she opens her mouth and you jab one of your scalpels into her side. She rears back and screams as she frantically pulls it out. "I will not become food," you say to her before running. Your close encounter had filled you with a grim determination to live. Adrenaline pumps through your body as the pain you felt before is blanketed by your resolve. As you reach the research lab, you pry the door open and are greeted by one of the Broodkeepers. With your bravery at an all time high, you take out another scalpel from your pouch as it lunges at you. You aim your strike straight at its mandible and your entire arm vanishes into its maw. You feel the blade rip through soft tissue before stopping as you hit a hard spot you believe to be it's exoskeleton. You put your other hand on it its flailing head and rip your arm out of the creature's mouth. The time it took to kill the creature has allowed Rachel to catch up to you and she looks with a horrified expression. "What have you done?" she asks. "Who will stop the parasites if you kill the master's antibodies?! You'll pay..." She charges at you as you step inside the research lab. You close the bulkhead and hear her banging away on the other side as you lock it. "This lock will only save you for so long!" she scream furiously. You decide to:

A. Hold the door down and so Rachel can't unlock it until she gives up
B. Look to see if there's another way out while Rachel tampers with the lock
C. Find something to defend yourself with other than scalpels as Rachel tampers with the lock
D. Open the door and assault Rachel
E. Other

Sorry, guys! I got Lords of Shadow 2 and it's so much fun! Anyway, on with the show.

You back away from the door as Rachel continues to bang against it. You put your left arm on the wall to illuminate it and start to scan for a vent or any other opening. "I'll feed you to the last antibody! I swear! Human flesh makes its children grow in a matter of hours! Then they can fight off the parasites!" you hear Rachel scream as she laughs hysterically. After a few minutes of searching, you find a small vent just as you hear the bulkhead twist open. You pry it open and crawl inside not caring where it leads. The vent is dark, but the light from your chitin armor lights the way as you turn from corner to corner. You look back and see Rachel turning the corner fast in pursuit of you. You push aside all fear and refuse to look back as you continue to crawl through the seemingly never ending ventilation system. After a few minutes, you see a light at the end of the vent you're crawling in. You crawl towards it as fast as you can determined to escape the maze. As you reach it, you ram the vent with what momentum you can muster from crawling and it pops off. You fall through and land in a room where you are greedted by the shriek of a woman holding a flashlight. You have but a moment to realize you're in the kitchen before Rachel flies out of the vent and crashes on you. She puts her hands around your neck and you resist with all your might. You look at the other woman as she cowers in fear at the sight. You decide to:

A. Try and kick Rachel off of you
B. Try to hit Rachel
C. Try to choke Rachel back
D. Ask the frightened woman for help
E. Other

Okay! Back from Lords of Shadow! Geez, I'm such a nut.

You lift your legs up and kick Rachel off of you. She lands on her back and you make a rush for her as the other woman simply cowers. Rachel trips you up as you approach her and she grabs the flashlight out of the woman's hand. She takes a swing at you with the flashlight and you block it with your arm guard. The blow staggers you back and you immediately feel the pain of a successive hit on the right side of your body. You clutch your side in pain before dodging another wide swing by Rachel. As she recovers from her swing, you take a scalpel from your pouch and lunge at her. You connect with Rachel's shoulder and she grunts in pain and drops the flashlight. She then shoves you with force, your back slamming into the wall as she rips the scalpel out of her shoulder and charges at you with it. You decide to:

A. Stand your ground and attempt to counter
B. Charge back at her
C. Attempt to move out of the way
D. Ask the frightened woman for assistance
E. Other

C, be c00l and evade like a pro.

A. Parry with an arm guard and reposte with a scalpel of your own, right in the eye. Or use her charge against her and force her into the wall, then dip that blade right into the back of her neck. Pierce that vertebrae and paralyze her.

Sheesh, I hope we know at least something about logical melee combat.

By the way, glad that you are enjoying Lords of Shadow 2. I'm hoping it's enjoyable, but think I'll pick it up when it goes on sale.

You stand your ground and ready yourself. Rachel comes at you with a fury which you use against her. You step out of the way evading her clumsy charge and push her head first into the wall. She hits it with a loud bang and you sweep her legs as she rears back and falls on her back. She seems to have passed out. You decide to:

A. Check on the frightened woman
B. Subdue Rachel while she's passed out
C. Finish Rachel while she's passed out
D. Leave both the women and the area immediately
E. Other

EDIT: It is quite enjoyable. The free roam aspect is great and I love the massive addition of new combos. Plus all the new gadgets are great as well. They also made the enemies less predictable which is awesome. That was my biggest problem with the first one, enemies telegraphed their attacks so obviously.

The frightened woman isn't going anywhere just yet. And while I would like to end the life of this crazed Rachel, she could provide good info.

B. Subdue her!

Probably subdue her, but it'd be nice to make sure the lady is alright as well. Ask her if she's Claire.
