After one hour inside the taxi, finally the group arrived at their destination, Ayane's mansion. Ayane's taxi arrived there first and Satoru's came right before them. It was an old yet grand looking mansion.
Laying eyes on the estate, it was ever more over the top than Kris had previously thought it would be. Kris was never one for fancy houses or many of the finer things. He was a simple man with simple tastes, but this was a lot better than most of the world was living with right now, so he sure as hell wasn't going to start complaining.
"... Wake up, Christine. We've already arrived...",Sophia gave a light nudge on Christine's cheek to awake the reporter while her eyes locked at the mansion.
"Mhhmm. Is it morning already? Christine rubbed her eyes and felt slight dizziness. Christine and Sophia walked out from the taxi and stared at the mansion.
" Well, this is surprising. " Christine spoke to herself as she watched the mansion in front of her.
"This place is pretty impressive. I have no idea what I would do with this much space, though," Kris comments as he exits the taxi.
"Is this old-style Victorian? When was it built?", Kahori asked Ayane as they got out of the cars.
"Only my grandfather can tell that to you, but I doubt that he'd tell you," Ayane said while walking towards the grand house, servants and maids seemed to be ready in both sides for welcoming Ayane's entry,
"You guys will be directed to the living room, I'll have a little chat with my grandfather first."
Kahori made a slight facial expression that showed that she was peeved at Ayane not knowing the answer.
Cliff walked silently in the back of the group observing the massive landscape of the mansion. He tried to deduce any sort of information the family could be involved in, but to no avail. It seemed the family was more cautious than most, but it was obvious that if this family was safe, and was able to provide personnal, then it was no ordinary wealthy family.

As they were escorted to the living room, Kahori decided to take up one of the seats closest to the door. There wasn't any rhyme or reason as to why she picked that seat, she just felt like it was the most comfortable. As she sat down, she took out a different book. This time, it was the Encyclopedia Britannica vol 30. She did, as per usual, opened up the book to the first page, and started read-eating.
This place certainly is... grand, so to speak, Cliff thought as he took a look around him as he sat in a comfortable seat in what he presumed to be the living room. Cliff tapped Kris' shoulder who sat next to him, and whispered,
"Hey Kris, what do you think about this mansion? Don't you think it's a bit... large?"
"Too large. I'd only need about one room in here to be happy. Must have taken alot of money to build it," Kris responds.
"Interesting, I figured you had a large house of your own. You almost look like a family man; you give off that feeling," Cliff said to Kris.
Kris laughed,
"I'm too young to be a dad yet, old man. But seeing the way things are turning out...Sounds like a dream to settle down."
Reclining in his seat, Cliff absentmindedly replied with a sigh,
"No kidding. I can only imagine how everyone else is feeling. I don't have a family, but someone like Christine must be going through a lot. I mean, at least Ayane has family."
"I have a mom, and a sister...My mom is probably ok, but if this thing is worldwide, my sister might be gone by now..." Kris says. He had been mulling it over for a while, but he was trying not to think about it.
"I'm sleepy," Christine mumbles on her own as she lazily sat on a sofa. She saw Kris and Cliff talking to each other, but she was too tired to do join them.
"How long do we have to wait in here...?"
In a few moments, three different people walked into the spacious room, not known to what is going on. They simply end up sitting with the rest of the group, feeling slightly awkward.
"Wow, talk about a crowd," Iteyui slightly giggled as if laughing to herself.
"Sorry, I'm just surprised at the large amount of people in here."
This is getting knowhere. What's with this tense situation? Too scared to talk? Or maybe just shy. Uther rolled his eyes, looking at the surroundings,
This is one big house. I wonder if there's any cute maids? That was the first thing that came in his mind, maids. Uther really missed the maids in front of his appartment.
This is getting too long, Uther took a mint candy from his pocket and ate it.
It seemed that everyone either didn't know how to break the ice, or that everyone was just tired. The tense atmosphere was thick enough to almost make it hard to breathe. Cliff didn't know who the girl that had just spoken was, but he appreciated the start of a conversation,
"Well, how about we all introduce ourselves? I mean, it's better than just sitting in silence right? My name's Cliff Keiramich," Cliff said with a gentle smile, extending his hand out for the girl to shake.
Kris scanned the room for a moment. Some people didn't look like they would have survived through this, but here they are, battle-hardened and probably just as exhausted as he is.
"My name is Kristopher Rosen, but Kris is just fine," said Kris, following Cliff's lead. It didn't hurt to get to know the other survivors. After all, there isn't that many of them left.
"... Sophia Arciana Calmina, a training nun from St. Arlynia Church..." Sophia muttered, she then pointed to the drowsy Christine,
"... And she's Christine."
"And I am Satoru Nagumi, nice to meet you all," Satoru tried to be as gentlemanly, as possible.
"My name is Kahori Sawamatsu. Kahori is fine," Kahori said absent-mindedly from her seat. She was too busy trying to read the small print contained within the Encyclopedia to give any attention other than a greeting to their new guests.
Well, can't help it, Uther took the candy out of his mouth and threw it in to a nearby trash bin.
"My name is Uther Insarius Arclinus. You can call me Uther, in short," he smiled at his newly found friends.
"And my name is Iteyui. Sorry if I startled you earlier."
Kotori feels a bit surprised upon witnessing so many people gathered here, and decides to go along with the flow,
"Kotori Moboroshi."
As the introductions finally ended, a maid and a servant came walking, holding plates full of snacks in their arms for the guests. After they placed the plates in the table in front of everyone. They slightly bowed their heads and left. This made others brighten up at the sight of something to eat, but at the same time, they began to wonder why exactly... they're still in all the mess with zombies. Work must be very important, to them?
Kris' stomach growled loudly as he laid eyes on the food that the maid and the servant brought in. He had never gotten to finish that nasty cold soup while on the ship, but since it was to save Ayane, he guessed that things just had a way of working out. Because now he can finally eat some real food with first class accomodations. [color=#9D0A0A0]"Well dont mind if I do.." says Kris stealing a deviled egg off one of the plates. It was one of his favorites that his mother would make on thanksgiving.
Kris figured this is a good time to try and get some information from the other survivors. Surely they had their own stories to tell about how they ended up here in Japan. Kris also figured that most of them were wondering who the hell is this strange suited man sitting in the room. Smirking a bit at one of the looks he's getting, he chuckles a bit.
"Like something out of a movie right? I thought the same thing when they showed them to us," says Kris.
"I'm a part of the Fakku Special Forces Unit. We were supposed to be the ones called in for catastrophic situations, but you see how much help that was. I was actually on a operation when the outbreak happened. My entire team was wiped out, with me safe by some dumb luck..." Kris said, without choking up too much after talking with Cliff before hand.
"After that, I made it out of there and made my way to the docks where I met Kahori... trying to run from the zombies in the street," Kris said, placing a hand on her head teasingly as she puffed out her cheeks.
After that, everyone decided to share titbits regarding what happened with them and how they got in here. Like this... time passed with either talking or drowsily sitting in the sofa, silently.

Ayane, her grandfather and Hilda walked down from the large staircase decorated with a red carpet from behind the group,
"You guys had fun conversing with each other?" Ayane inquires with a smile, attempting to lighten up the atmosphere.
"For the most part. It seems like we had an easier time than they had on the plane. I would take that boat over the plane any day of the week." said Kris stretching out, stuffed with snacks. In truth, he was entertained by the stories. It reminded him of the times when him and the others would share battle stories. Back when he earned his nickname.
"Indeed. I'm glad that I didn't leave Fakku City with Hilda!" Ayane replied, mockingly looking at Hilda. She feels that Hilda is full of misfortune... misfortune that she treats as 'fortune'.
"Too bad you missed all the action," Hilda said, looking away with her eyes closed.
"It sure sounds like it. I'm a bit surprised that you're a swordsman. It can't be as big as they are saying," Kris taunts.
"True, my sword is not as big as they think it is... it's far from being 'big' really," she casually spoke, waving above her right hand as if to show that it's actually pretty small to her.
Ayane wondered as she spoke what's in her mind aloud,
"I wonder just how big it really is... I've never seen it before."
The old man stepped up, as if to shun the chitchats of the three, "Ahem. Anyway, we're here right now to talk about what we'll do afterwards. The three of us have come to a decision already. It is time for you people to make decisions for yourselves."
Kris sat up straight. Whatever this old man had to talk about, it would be worth listening to. He knew that they wouldn't be staying there forever.
"What was your decision about?" asked Kris waiting patiently.
