((This is, and has always been, a joint post between Cinia Pacifica and Hanasaku.))
Panting hard, Iteyui looked at the scene that presented itself before her: Hilda slashing and hacking the zombies to oblivion, where she could barely even manage to kill a single one. Looks like she's not ready for this yet, it seems....
"Amazing...." she breathed those words as she watched Hilda work her way through the black beings, she sighed as blood is spilled on her clothing whilst stoning at the sight.
The heads roll one by one on the carpeted floor, until one reaches by Iteyui's feet. Their faces could not explain the horror or pain one would have gone through the conversion process. They seem to shout out broken sentences of 'Help me' and some other moan which cannot be deciphered. She looks directly at one with sympathy. "Must be hard being a zombie...."
Deciding not to let herself nor Hilda down, Iteyui seemed to puff her chest up in confidence, as she tried to follow Hilda on.
"Follow me," Hilda said in a confident tone, now that she has heard the sounds of the zombies before us, busy munching, she runs her way towards them. The fun part about this situation is that the sounds from the jet engines of the plane, makes it harder for them to find preys, albeit they seem to manage to bite people regardless. Another good part is that the red carpets with the golden lion pattern makes nulls the stomping noises to a minimum, hence running is risky because the sounds will not attract them. How does she know that zombies reacts with sounds? It's special information from Jacob.
However, she is not certain as to how reliable Jacob's information is. As she ran with Iteyui, the sounds of the dead became imminent, even Iteyui could tell that the black-skinned being lay a small distance before the duo. The two walks cautiously. Hilda's ragged breath could be heard by Iteyui; she's a bit tired due to her weapon's weight. This is obvious because of how big the thing is. Hilda slightly raises her left hand, showing it's back to Iteyui's view, signalling her to stay back. She then made a sudden dash - her running making the zombies look back at her - her blade went past the heads of the dead. However, it was only half of those heads. Even if it wasn't perfect, their brains were slightly visible. Bloody yet messy. Glossy with light; blood spattered on Hilda's top as she stuck her blade on a zombie and moved it from the middle of the path slowly yet steadily with somewhat ease.
Hilda turned her bloody face towards the other girl - with a somewhat bloodlust written all over her eyes; "Tch, not good enough. I thought I could cut the heads in half with a single blow... " Hilda then started walking towards the cockpit. It seemed to be in vicinity.
"I couldn't even cut one." Iteyui sighed in disappointment. "Anyway, you should clean yourself up. I hear their blood can be infectious." Iteyui tried to keep up as it seemed she would be no match for even someone younger than her. She then lowered her guard.
"You'll get better though, I think," Hilda said in monotone, "As for the blood... mnm, not quite. But the information as to why this blood won't infect me, is classified. While there is a chance generally, it won't apply to me," her tone, unchanged, as she cups some of the blood from her creamy white cheeks and fans it off to the white walls.
"The keyword here is think," Iteyui sighed. "There's no saying I will get better." Iteyui lowered her head in shame.
[b]"Umm, your point is? Everything we say is upon thinking with our brains, anyway. And I doubt there is or was anyone in this world with a gloomy face, who got better while thinking that he or she wouldn't be able to get better at something, including killing. This is killing we're talking about, no one can get better really quickly, it takes time..."
"I should just let you do all the hacking and slashing," Iteyui seemed to give up. I'm no good at this compared to the master.." It didn't take much logic to figure out her words. Ridiculous. I'm getting life counselled by someone who's 5 years younger than me. Maybe I'm just that pathetic.
Just tell me if you need to shoot." She then lowered her weapon. "That's the only thing you can't do right now that I can, I guess."
"Giving up won't get you anywhere. There was a time when I couldn't even swing this thing right. Now, it's like my best partner ever. Watching a veteran swords-woman fight may be completely demotivating - I wouldn't have done it if not for the situation - but you need to know that there's plenty of room for improvement... at least that's what I think. You tried to kill something for the first time, and your weapon cut it's skin. Isn't that great enough? Cowards wouldn't be able to even swing that thing you're holding, or a normal knife for a matter, but well.... whatever, I give up on this," Hilda stopped, her current expression wasn't the consoling type, one single bit. But she said whatever she could to have her spirit returned regardless of that.
Splat, smack, squish. These were probably the only sounds heard throughout the plane other than the faint screams of people, only muffled by the sound of the engine. As the sounds of the human beings got less, they were only replaced by more groaning and moaning from the Zombies. Or Half-zombies. It was hard to tell if their minds were still sane or not. The smell of ammonia hit the air conditioners and soon spread throughout the plane. Rotting flesh were soon a common smell throughout this place.
Iteyui seemed relieved. Nevertheless, she continued running, with her mind shrouded by unknown thoughts only she herself could experience.
Outside the windows the night was still black, splattered white by stars. It sure was no time to look at the scenery outside, but soon below the plane, the city of Fakku shut down it's lights one street by another. the wings of the plane spread out across the air, almost fluttering at the mere touch of wind. In this plane, a chaos of a thousand nights came to life as Hilda and Iteyui ran from one end of the hangar to the other. The night has started to dim it's shade of black.
The door was knocked: "W-Who's there!? a trembling, frightened voice came through. Fear sure has shook this person up well, that's what went through Hilda's thought process upon hearing the sentence.
"Open the door, it's the vice president of Fakku city. Don't be afraid, we've taken care of the other zombies close to this door, Hilda uttered with a tone of authority after announcing the death of the dead ones.
The door slowly opened, after five seconds. In these seconds which seemed to take an eternity to pass; the lock was being opened. They must have been desperate to set so many locks. Hilda and Iteyui walks in, the sight that beheld the two was terrifying. One of the pilots was bitten. This was made obvious with the injury in the arm of the man, sitting in the left, the one in the right seemed to the owner of the trembling voice, a terrified man.
Hilda speaks so as to correct her notion of the situation, "Allow me to make an assumption: some politicians boarded the ship who were infected. They didn't get any check up because they were... important people. They then transformed and took a bite of some people, including the air hosts and hostesses, and that guy?"
"H-He was only going to the toilet... that's when it all began. He came back running with that injury, and the others were confused about the whole thing, and were suddenly attacked from behind, I shut the door up as soon as I saw those... things after he got in here... !!"
He was way too panicked, the three in the room excluding the one giving out explanations seemed to have well understood the fact. Hilda grabbed his neck with both hands, "Sorry about this, but can you shut up and pipe down? We don't want you to attract the zombies now of all times, she gave a grim look with her eyes looking down on his ever shaking pupils. It seemed as though he nodded slightly and then, Hilda let go of the man. Right after this, the other male coughs blood, and breathes ragged breaths. His transfiguration is unavoidable. No matter how much one may pray for a miracle.
"I'm sorry but... you do know that you're about to turn into one of... them, right?" Hilda looked down on this man, too. This person that she spoke to seemed to be rather mature regardless of all that had happened in this terrifying, mind-rending situation. He simply stated, "Of course... I'd like to request of any of you in here; please end my life right here and now, before I turn into one of them. It's for the best... please... "
At this, it seemed to be that Hilda's eyes sparkled in amusement. A mere human saying that? Incredible! she thought. Never had she thought that a human would give up just like that. "Well, who's going to do it?"
"Do you... want to?" Iteyui looked at Hilda. She seemed unsure. Looking at the people, they were in no shape to execute one of their fellow aircrew. And it is obvious that Iteyui wasn't so completely confident that she could have fully kill the guy. "I can let you do it. Since most probably I can't anyway."
The man was groaning in pain all the while. It seemed that he was going through an excruciating change of body. It certainly seemed so to all of the people who was witnessing the scene. Iteyui then looked at the man. "Death by sword... or gun?"
"Just make it quick....and fast... I don't want to be a burden anymore... not now..."
Both are equally quick and fast, although I'm not so sure... Iteyui then looked at Hilda. "Your call, I guess."
"Hurry..." The man's will was weakening by the second.
Hilda's left hand sways to Iteyui as she lowers her weapon on her other hand, "My weapon is too big, I don't want to mistakenly break anything important here. Would you please hand me your weapon? It seems that you people... just wouldn't do it."
"Then blood shall not be stained on you."
Iteyui then raised her weapon, the tip of the blade at the man's temple, trembling with it, as the muttered the words: "Close your eyes. It'll be over before you'll realise it," she said, "And Hilda, I suggest you look away..." as she readies herself. Hilda pretends to look away. But who knew that her eyes peered through her golden glossy hair in excitement?
"Thank you..." the man said in retrospect.
...
Bang.
With the shot, it was certain the more zombies would come, though the door is locked, so this would provide somewhat safety to the other passengers, but at least they would not have to bear the sight of a transformation, not at least for the aircrew. The plane went into a howling, deafening, silence. Blood, in colors both red and black, formed a miasma of twisted art behind the wall the man was leaning on. Flesh, that was twitching and squirming for the time that the man had still been alive, broke into chunks that exploded into a flurry of mass gore. The remains of what was left of his skull, lay in the floor of the aftermath. at the end of the grotesque mess, the body devoid of life sputtered blood like a drinking fountain meant for vampires. It flopped to the ground with a sound thud. The spectators of the execution were speechless except for the duo. With blood dotting her face, Iteyui murmured the words such that only she could hear them: "Peace to a good man." She then wiped her face with her shirt, having to choice, then turned to Hilda.
"Okay, you can look back now.....now what do we do?"
"No other choice but to get to Japan regardless of what had happened. Going back is no good choice, nor is landing in an inappropriate location," Hilda stated while folding her arms over her chest.
"Huh... haven't been to Japan in a long time. I'd like to see it soon, whether apocalypse or not.

GM notes:
Cinia Pacifica: Hilda decides to run to the cockpit with Iteyui, a dice will be rolled how long how legs can handle running all the way to the cockpit, 5 is required.
Dice result: 4
1 + 4 = 5
(Your character is able to run properly, but she is getting tired really fast. At this rate, her sword wielding may be slower due to it's heaviness.)
A dice is to be rolled to test if Hilda's perception is good enough to hear the groans, limping walking and sense their presence from afar, 7 is required.
Dice result: 6
4 + 6 = 10
(Your character is able to hear groans and moans of the zombies, and crunching sounds of flesh. They're most likely eating meat of a passenger aboard this plane, or a staff member, even. Your character estimates that there are a few. Bonus: From the sounds, your character can tell that there aren't any zombies on the way, all the way to the cockpit after these.)
Hilda makes an attempt to attack the zombies who are busy munching on meat, she wanted to slash the heads in half, as she believed that her blade was capable of this, but is her Strength attribute good enough for that? A dice will be rolled to find the answer out, 6 is required.
Dice result: 4
4 + 4 = 8
(Your character is able to slightly cut the heads of the zombies, she could have fully cut past the brains if not for her lack of stamina at this moment, as she used some of them up carrying the board sword in her own palms. She has not rested enough it seems. But she puts enough strength to kill her preys. Just not with absolute perfection.)
