They have their own homing attack. That's the only thing you need to know.
Reimu has the advantage to kill familiars, while Yukari's attack type, if focused mainly to the boss, is able to deal great amount of damage. In simpler summary, Illusionary Border Team is the most-balanced among all in my opinion.

Have not read that one yet. I've read a couple charisma-break ones. They both destroy any image someone can have of her. This story is great and exactly how I've pictured Remi.

The things at the bottom of the list are what is most recently added. The stuff at the top has been there the longest. If anything the stuff at the top is the "basement dwellers" since it still is there.

She is always a very lacking character to me. Being the most flexible character, or Jack-of-all-trades, also means that she has no special attribute. Her combination with Yukari in Imperishable Night helps her to fill in what she's lacking all this time, minus mobility.

To help you get rid of some below-average ones, behold my biased choices ... is what I'd say, but it would be better for you to taste the dish by your own. Among your PS3 games, I've played some of 'em (hail my caveman's comp), that includes Prototype, Prototype 2, Resident Evil 5, God of War, and etc. The ones I've mentioned ain't really impressive, though it's mainly because hack'n slash isn't really my cup of tea.

Why does Shogun 2 have to do with anything there (haven't played that though). For the standard of eroge or visual novels, I suppose Sengoku Rance scored a good one. On the other hand, the sequel, Rance Quest, was nice and all, but it could've been much better, much much better.
