You kick the capsule in without hesitation causing it to burst. A strange mucus like substance leaks out of it along with four worm like creatures similar in color to the capsule. They his and wriggle on the ground before dying almost instantly. You wipe your foot on the steel grating before opening the bulkhead into the labs. as you enter, a wave of panic hits you as you see the wall of water. It then dissipates after you realize it is behind a giant glass window. "Getting jumpy..." you say to yourself. All the machinery seems to have short circuited and there are broken specimen jars everywhere. Tools lay scattered all over the ground and the some of the supply closets on the wall have bursted open unable to hold in the weight of their contents after the facility shifted. You then look at the closets on the opposite end now topped with a combination of all the things in the room. You notice a tiny crack in the giant window as well as papers strewn about at the machinery at its base. Hesitantly, you make your way to the large glass window and pick up one of the papers. It reads:
02022014 NEW SPECIES OF ISOPOD FOUND
After many years of toil and research, our facility has finally made a break. Deep oceanic species have always baffled the scientist both in they way they live and the ability to study them. For the past ten years, this facility has help us educate ourselve about deep see creatures that live near or in an oceanic trench. Just a few weeks back, the TRD sent us pictures of a new species of isopod. They were much larger than the the pervious spot holder known as the Giant Isopod. For that reason, we have dubbed the species the Colossal Isopod. We know it's not creative, but it was fitting.
02092014 SECOND COLOSSAL ISOPOD SPECIES FOUND
As if we we weren't lucky before, the TRD found another species in just a week. These two seem to belong to the same family as well as genus, but different species. This new species that has been discovered seems to be quite aggressive and will attack anything that they are unfamiliar with. Nonetheless, the discovery of two new creatures in such a short time is astounding.
02152014 FIRST ATTEMPT AT CATCHING LIVE SPECIMENS
Today is a monumental event! The TRD is going to attempt to capture one of each species. The scientist are getting all anxious to study them up close instead of just by video footage given to us by the TRD and I am no different. It just upsets me that maintenance just had to come in today to make sure the facility is safe. After ten whole years, you think they'd know that it would be by now. We have four dozen engineers who check everyday for God's sake. No matter though, they should be leaving tomorrow once they finish their inspection. One of them, this girl, keeps telling us that bringing live specimens doesn't seem like a smart idea. What does she know? She's just some underpaid maintenance worker. The sooner she leaves, the better.
02162014 FACILITY SUFFERING A CLASS A EMERGENCY
Upon being brought in, the two Isopods believed to have been in catatonic state suddenly woke up and escaped earlier today. They are extremely strong and agile and broke out of their containment units with little effort. It's strange, but if they could escape that easily, why did they remain captured. It's as if they wanted to get inside the facility. Though it has only been six hours since their escape, we have no means to combat them other than the weapons left in the untouched armory. Nobody even remembers the code because nobody expected something like this to happen. Please, please don't let me die in here.
As you finish reading the paper, you leaf over the other ones. You then look at the closets at the lower end of the room. You decide to:
A. Read "COLOSSAL ISOPOD SPECIES 1: EGGLAYER"
B. Read "COLOSSAL ISOPOD SPECIES 2: BROODKEEPER"
C. Search the closets for anything useful
D. Leave the area
E. Other
