First off, thank you, Naoto, for making this into a personal matter. Had anyone else made the post I just did you probably wouldn't have even responded. And we all know who you're affiliated with, so I guess it's not surprising to see you dredging up old grudges rather than keeping this an unbiased debate.
But I'll pretend that you don't fit in with a select group of people who hate me, and that this isn't a personal attack cleverly disguised as a "psychologist's unbiased expert opinion", and respond how I normally would.

But to answer this I will have to say that the community as a whole will decide if your post is offensive.
Now remember you said
community. Not "a group of members who hold a personal grudge". Because I'll be bringing this point up later.

I believe that this has been evident in many examples before, one is the event when you claimed a waifu, which according to many, you did only for your amusement and to annoy the chat roll members. You can say that you were not offensive but for the witnesses they will continue to brand your act as atrocious.
If the community decides as a whole, then the Waifu incident wasn't trolling at all. I followed every rule and played fair. My behavior was perfectly acceptable. It's only someone's opinion if they think my intentions were unjust. Still, A large portion of the community members saw nothing wrong with what I did.
But the people who lost and their friends, together, that small portion of the community childishly flamed and de-rep'd me. And according to most people that would be considered trolling.

As much as I dislike to argue, this opinion may be considered biased by many readers. For one, most will depict that you say this only because you experienced and continue to experience being bashed because of your posts which are believed to be offensive.
And I think this^ opinion may be considered biased by other readers. I would also appreciate it if you referred to your opinions as "your opinions" rather than making comments like,
"most will depict...". Because if you're going to try and analyze me, don't act like your opinion is also the community's.

Simply because, those who branded other people as trolls and bash them for it experienced something unpleasant in the hands of trolls. Therefore, it would be understandable if they would act indifferent towards these users.
You can call it blind rage or misplaced anger but you cannot really call them bad for being angry for being wronged.
And I say this should merit criticism. You just justified people flaming, trolling, and negative repping other members out of personal feelings of anger.
And you stated earlier that a community decides if a post is offensive or not. So, if the post isn't considered offensive by the community but by an individual, then it's still okay for that individual to attack other members? Because his feelings are hurt? Hardly seems like good forum behavior to me.

I can say that the fault would still be entirely placed on the poster who bashed the character. I can imagine that the thread was filled with fans of the character and he just suddenly blurt out his hate for the girl, of course there would be a reaction, honestly I'd be more surprised if there wasn't. It's like shouting "you suck" in a concert and then hope the fans will just smile about it.
You see what you did there? You took something I said and warped it. I never said they
bashed the character, and I never said it was in a thread where it would offend fans, either.
There are "Characters You Hate" threads, and it's perfectly acceptable to post about characters you don't like. I won't post the person's name who took a rep dive because I'm trying to keep this an open debate and not bring it down to a petty grudge/argument level, but he's not someone who ANYONE would consider to be a troll. In a completely civil manner he posted why he didn't like a character, in the
appropriate thread, and was still attacked for it. So, no, it's not like shouting "you suck" in a concert. You're completely wrong.
